Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel

Good location ,Nice size room and excellent breakfast

Avoid Hotel Taxi service ( order a black cab ) as a official Black cab from the airport charged me 8 pounds to get to the hotel and the hotel taxi service was a crazy 25 pounds for 5 minute trip

Very comfortable. Delicious meal in the evening - the portion sizes are huge, we couldn't eat it all. The breakfast was also great. Comfortable beds. Good wifi. Very friendly staff. Clean. Easy check in and check out. Very convenient location.

I booked a taxi through the hotel to go to T5 - it was 32 pounds! I had paid 10.60 the previous day to go a similar distance getting a taxi from heathrow train station to the hotel. In fairness they do operate a shuttle bus which would have been 12 pounds (6 each) and had I known the taxi would be so much I would have done that.

The staff were very friendly. Syed was very efficient when dealing with my booking and checking in. There was also a lovely young lady who served us at the bar with drinks and a meal, I didn't catch her name but she was friendly and the service was very good. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There are good facilities to make tea and coffee in the room and also a fridge. The shower was excellent and shower gel and hand soap provided. There is very little noise from the airport / planes etc considering how close the hotel is in proximity. A very pleasant stay.

There was an interconnecting door in the bedroom which unfortunately meant that I could hear people talking in the other room, not just voices but conversation. If you are staying with other family members and want to be close then this isn't a problem but not ideal if you are on your own. A hook/s in the bathroom would be a good addition to have.

Breakfast not included, the airport shuttles are 5,50 for a five minutes rides - and there is no mention of public busses to the airport leaving every 5 minutes directly in front of the hotel

I would like to call attention to the service I received at the front desk during check-in and check-out. Both times I was served by Jason (I asked for his card, but in the turmoil of travel I have misplaced it). He led me through the amenities of the hotel, then explained to me in some detail the process of getting a bus to the airport in the morning. AND, perhaps sensing my travel fatigue (I had been traveling for three weeks and was heading home), he wrote it all down for me. To my mind, this definitely beyond my expectations for a hotel. Thanks to Jason.

This it not the hotel's fault but the bus system (Hop-something) between the hotel and the Heathrow is abominable. Coming to the hotel, I had to wait 45 minutes for a bus, and leaving for the airport was worse: the bus, which was late, was full. Thanks to the Renaissance employee who was at curbside, I was able to get a taxi. I was able to make my flight. I donated my return bus ticket to him to share with another guest.

Don’t answer messages Finding a way/ride to the airport early in the morning to terminal 2 is very difficult. Taxis often don’t show. Bus doesn’t start until later in the morning.

The hotel itself was stunning, and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and we felt well taken care of by the staff.

I didn’t like that we had to pay 6£ each way just to shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Other than that our experience was great.

Dinner menu could have more choice of not s expensive light meals Would have liked more explanation about how to get to terminal 3 and perhaps given written information about airport Eg where exactly to catch red buses. Note - we are quite elderly ! and walking long distances difficult especially with suitcases

The rooms were spacious and clean. As a family, we were easily able to get two adjoining rooms. The breakfast was exceptional. we also enjoyed a late dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was affordable.

The hotel Hoppa bus from Heathrow to the hotel was the worst part of this hotel. It is frustrating it is not free, and it doesn’t come on schedule. Both our bus from the airport and to it were over-crowded. I don’t k or if it is a staffing shortage post COVID or just an unreliable service. Many people at the hotel got tired of waiting for early an hour and ended up booking a taxi or an Uber. Just be advised that there’s no complimentary shuttle so even though you are very close to the airport, getting to / from the hotel is a challenge.
