the swimming pool was not open

all good.

really disappointed that swimming pool area is going - this sets hotel apart from others. thought just because of covid now hear it won’t ever reopen. I had suggested for my aunt to have 60th birthday there - as thought pool area would be open by April . please reconsider!!!

Some reviewers really did not like this hotel - we expected the worst but we had no issues with the room, checking in etc. Reception staff kindly allowed my daughters to check in without me as I was delayed. Room was nice, accommodated 4 people, everything you would expect from an airport hotel. Bars and restaurants onsite and Starbucks for a quick breakfast.

Pool was not open - we knew about this after we booked. The information on Booking.com's entry was contradictory. Looks like a lovely pool, shame it is closed indefinitely. Hotel is not walkable from the airport terminal - need to take either Hoppa Bus which isn't free, or regular bus which is cheap but might be daunting for some travelers. Regular bus does not take cash so you need to use card. We found there were others using the bus who also didn't know where to get off and regular travelers on the bus were very helpful!

The staff were wonderful, very helpful in all area's. For breakfast you could have everything from a continental breakfast or a full English breakfast (this has to be paid for) all cooked well. The Sports bar served food and drink at reasonable price's and again the quality was excellent.

We had a disabled room due to my husband being frail. Unfortunately the television in our room hadn't been programmed, so we couldnt watch it! When having a shower my husband found that the slope to the shower became very slippery when wet.

Used sports bar restaurant which was good. Beds were excellent.

Room 2046 not quite as expected - toilet seat was loose, air conditional control did not work well as it was held together with some sort of tape as it had obviously been dislodged at some time. Also plenty of electrical sockets but NO USB ports which for a modern hotel was very surprising. Sadly we were told that the pool was permanently closed which was disappointing.

Very convenient for the Airport. Nice quiet room. Nice bathroom. The restaurant is superb, and the staff are charming and efficient. The Reception staff are also extremely pleasant, helpful and efficient. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend anyone to stay there .The breakfast was also very nice and very pleasant and helpful.

It was perfectly fine - long corridors, but then - it is a big hotel. It was good.

Breakfast was lovely, good immunities indoors, close to entertainment like Airport bowl. Front desk staff was lovely, Breakfast was included in my rate and it was really nice. Room was huge lots of space and everything we needed. Had room service also which was quick and nice.

Communication- booked hotel for swimming pool, i messaged first to make sure the pool was opened and i got a generic response so booked anyways got there and was told the pool was shut for an event so missed out that day which my son was sad about.

Reception staff went out of their way to give us information about the best mode of transport to the airport - and came out from behind the reception desk to ensure that we were comfortable with the touch-screen booking. Bed was exceptionally comfortable and the redecoration/upgrade that has taken place over the past few years is superb

the pool - and the character. ..this hotel has been around forever but it’s still in excellent condition and the vibe is relatively sumptuous compared to newer, more plasticy chain hotels. …the pool with all the mature greenery and tropical pool bar gives it a special feel. Forty years ago when I first went there there were live parrots flying around in the pool area. Not any more, but it still has a special vibe in what is a rather soulless, airporty area. I’d never stay anywhere else near the airport.

pool room good too - good size and not tacky

The pool area is beautiful, the American themed bar is excellent, as was the food. The room was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful both when I booked, and while I was there.

The bar opening sooner would be nice, the office chair in the room was rather uncomfortable to me and my partner both, but the rest of the furniture was very comfortable. We seemed to have a bit of issue with the heat of the shower, but we both showered one after the other, and both prefer quite hot showers, so that may not be an issue that everyone would experience.
