Mercure London Heathrow Airport

The hotel was pretty good and cleaned, the rooms were big and comfortable.

Well, I chose this hotel because the ad on Booking says that they storage luggage. But they don't say that is just for few hours. I left on May 19th and I had a reservation for the 22nd again, so my plan was to storage the big luggage I had in the hotel, since me and 7 year old daughter were going to come back 3 days later, but the staff in the hotel was irrefutable saying that I couldn't do it what made carry on all my heavy luggage for a short trip and then come back to the same hotel. If I knew that it wouldn't be possible to storage, I'd have chosen a hotel way closer to Heathrow for my last night in London.

Ample room. Small fridge.Air con. Comfortable bed. Fairly quiet. Large bathroom. Friendly & efficient staff. Parking. After the checking in issue the front of house staff was brilliant and sorted us with 2 rooms which was a relief after seeing how busy they were.

Was told rooms I'd booked were cancelled when we arrived. No communication by hotel or Booking.com. to confirm this or why it has been cancelled.. Leaky shower head attached to hose. Cheap thin toilet paper. Noisy air con. No shelf in bathroom to put toiletries. Very busy hotel.

Booking was easy, staff very friendly and food including choice was good, Partner is gluten intolerant which the staff understood and assisted in meal selection. Of particular note the waiter Sachin is an asset to the hotel, very efficient. The bar manager was efficient and attentive. We had a small problem with the bedroom window that the duty manager helped resolve. Overall the enforced use by cancelled aircraft ended well in you hotel. I would recommend the hotel to others due to reasonable price food and staff quality.

good value for money but they should state the Joppa is no longer running at the moment as it’s a £20 taxi fare each way to the airport.

As we were going to do a lot of tours in the medieval villages, Brighton, Stonehenge and Oxford, and fewer days in London, the location in our case was very good, as it was halfway between London and these cities. Staff were very friendly. For London area standards, it was well worth the cost.

It is certainly not the standard of the MERCURE Hotels we know in Brazil. Room cleanliness is not very good. Floor carpets are old. One day there were no towels in our room. Breakfast and meals are a little pricey, but it was not a problem for us as there is a Starcucks close by. One of the covered parking lots is not good as there are a lot of pigeons and the car got very dirty.

What I like about this hotel is that it is located relatively close to the airport but it is in a quiet neighborhood. I slept well because there are no major roads close to the hotel and you can't hear planes landing or taking off from the airport. I think the hotel offers this comfort at a relatively low price. Another thing I liked was the size of my room and the size of the bed. The restaurant at the hotel offers a couple of different choices of meals and I think it is okay but the staff there is cordial and quick. The staff at the reception may help you reserve a private taxi for the airport or any other destination. Depending on traffic and taking into account that at the time of writing there are road works, it takes 15 minutes to get to the airport by car. I wouldn't consider any other form of transportation because the train station is not close to the hotel and I think there are only buses for terminal 2&3 which would require any traveler to then take a train transfer to the other terminals but I am not entirely sure. There may be more bus services provided by the tlf that I am not aware of.

While I thank the hotel for providing me with a free upgrade to a larger and nicer room for availability reasons, it was not communicated by the front desk staff although it is something worth mentioning because it would clearly be a major boost in the appeal of the hotel.

Quiet area. The room has nice amenities. I choose this hotel because it is close to the airport by car and I think it offers great comfort at a very competitive price. Good service was provided at the restaurant inside the hotel.

I have no major complaints. I think the hotel provided an enjoyable experience. A tiny detail, that did not affect the score I gave the hotel, would be a request for the doors to be somewhat better at soundproofing. It is very easy to hear other guests walking down the corridors when your bed is positioned close to the door, but that happened to me only once very early in the evening, after that the hotel was quiet it's just a minor detail to observe.

I chose the hotel for its proximity to Heathrow and for the very affordable price. The hotel is older and has been partially renovated - the reception area/bar/restaurant are all new and quite lovely. The rooms have been partially updated so the bathroom and carpets are still in need of updating but the rest of the room and furnishings were newer. Everything worked in the room but the toilet, bathroom faucet and shower were a little funky. The kettle and fridge in the room were very helpful and convenient - the selection of tea and coffee was good and they had real milk for the beverages, none of the powdered stuff. The walk from the train station (Hayes & Harlington) to the hotel was about 17 minutes and though the neighborhood seemed a little run down it was safe, I traveled alone and had no problems. The bus runs very nearby and I took that on occasion as well, very convenient. The train to Heathrow runs often and takes you directly to your terminal. There’s not much to do within walking distance but Kew Gardens is only about an hour away via train and bus. So, if you need to stay a night or two nearby to Heathrow at an economy priced hotel I think the Mercure London Heathrow is a good value.

The had a safe which was very handy and also a fridge both we did not use as we were only stopping the 1 night

The room had no desk shelve space to put your stuff for eg wifes make up kit and the space in the bathroom was very limited .The premier inn gives you more space and also lack of socket outlets just 1 by the bedside.Also and the time of booking asked for a pullout bed and also told the lady on check in and she confirmed that their was a pull out bed .I did book 3 rooms and none of them had the pull out bed .Then had to go all the back from the second floor back to check in and get it sorted .The staff cleared the breakfast stuff just before 10am their was no lea way as we had a 3 yr old and as you know they take their time .

We didn't have breakfast as we had to leave for our flight at 4.30am, but the room was spotless clean and the bed was very comfy, it was ideal for a one or two nights stay before or after your flight. Even although the room was small I liked the fact that it had a small table with 2 chairs which meant we didn't need to sit on the bed

There wasn't anything we didn't like, the only thing that was slightly annoying was the wall around the window, it was a little low and intrusive when sitting at the table. The staff were very friendly however most of the bar staff seemed to be new and didn't have a clue what they were doing, prices for drinks were a bit steep.
