Skylark Guest House

Skylark is exceptional value for the dollar. The hotel is near bus stops as well as the underground. The room was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and all the linens were spotless. The bathroom was completely and totally renovated and up to date. Vera and Suk are amazing and very engaged hosts. They go very far out of their way to ensure everything during your stay is perfect period. I certainly wasn't expecting a peaceful and wonderful courtyard garden. I was also very surprised at the extensive breakfast that was offered in the morning. Hot dishes eggs, fruit, cheese, cereal etc.etc. For the price I paid I was very surprised that such a breakfast was included. I will stay there from now on, and I would not hesitate to recommend skylark to either solo or family travelers. Thanks again Vera! You are the best. And thanks for all the travel tips Suk!

Perfect hotel.

Beautiful property set back off a main road but other than the airplanes from the airport going overhead, you can’t hear any traffic so expect a peaceful nights sleep. The staff are highly trained in customer service and throughout my stay, checked to see if everything was okay, and if I was okay too. The girl on reception was brilliant and very helpful, allowing me to check on a few hours before subject to room availability. The rooms are very clean, tidy and heated in winter. I would without hesitation stay again, and wouldn’t choose anywhere else in the area if given the choice, even if the competition was cheaper!

Everything was beyond my expectations, honestly we use just to sleep and thought it was gonna be bad, but we where wrong, and even feels great to admited, we did sleep great. Wish the staff would have name tags so i can tell you the names of those who where great staff beside Vera because we ask her name and 8ntroduce our self, probably because we are mexicans we are usually more polite and present oirself with oir name probably is not usuall to do that here in London, however, ALL staff at front desk and kitchen where very friendly and made us feel welcome, the "not" friendly was some guest, of course not all are the same friendly. We had some neighboors next to oir room that even with the window close we could hear them talking, not very respectfull for others at night. Love the place, dint like the eggs, seems very artificial, and maybe do a bit more without hit breakfast budget, above all, it was very very great, Thank you.

Structure located in Hounslow West, connected to Heathrow airport by Metro a short distance from the Guest House. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff: excellent experience with Vera at the desk, a person who assisted and advised us well during our short stay. Fantastic breakfast, continental, complete and available in a very nice dedicated area with the possibility of using the outdoor patio. The room we stayed in is clean and equipped with comfort and bathroom. The shuttle taxi solution proposed by the hotel is valid. guest house recommended for those who need to connect with Heathrow airport.

Nothing to declare. Maybe we can suggest to put a safe in the rooms. Otherwise the stay was short, so as not to highlight anything we did not like.

The staff were very friendly and kind. It's a lovely building and our room suited our needs perfectly. There were lots of choice for breakfast and good value for money

The area is noisy. I was unprepared and I found I didn't sleep well. Not a problem for everyone as my kids were out like a light. The area is on the landing strip for Heathrow with Planes landing every few minutes. My only genuine negative is be wary about the turn into the driveway. There's a dip between Road and curb and I scraped the front of my car going into the drive. The next time I drove off the pavement and didn't use the drive. But again it is a lovely hotel.

Lots of pluses. Near the M4 so no congestion charge and free parking, 3.30 hours from Plymouth. 5 minutes walk from Hounslow West tube on the Piccaddily Line which is 35 minutes to Hyde Park Corner. We were at a concert on a Friday and theatre on the Saturday and on both nights the Piccadily line runs 24 hours. Super friendly staff, free continental breakfast. The room was small but clean and they changed our towels daily....and for £85 a night that's all you can ask for. For future trips to London it's well worth considering.

One tiny thing was every time you wanted to get in the actual building you have to ring a buzzer and be let in by a member of staff...but it really wasn't an issue.

Good selection for breakfast but would of liked a little bacon. However it was a bonus to have hot food because when we booked in December it stated continental breakfast. It was nice to be able to make a hot drink anytime in the dining area and then sit out in a lovely garden. Our room would have benefited with a bedside lamp and some shelving in the bathroom to put toiletries on. Location was excellent for us going to Twickenham, also tube stop 80m away for a 35m tide into Covent Garden without changing. We will visit again on our next trip to Twickenham. Hopefully 2024 'com on Sale'.

It was very near Heathrow and a 5-minute walk from the Tube station. The proprietor was very friendly, very flexible, and eager to provide suggestions and directions. Breakfast was nice enough, with options. The bathrooms were updated (in a pretty old building). It was clean. There was a place for breakfast outside for those who wanted that. The inside breakfast space had been redone and was quite nice, with glass walls.

The building is old, and each bedroom (we stayed in two--one at the beginning and one at the end of our trip) is small. There is nothing elegant or upscale about it, but if you don't go in expecting elegance, it is fine.

the staff couldn’t do more to help, they were brilliant. From letting us check in earlier, to letting us leave the car in the car park for the day after checking out. They were really helpful at dinner time when we needed access to the kitchen, and breakfast was amazing. it’s a shame the weather wasn’t brilliant, the garden would be great in the summer. The room (room 13) was lovely and cozy, bathroom was amazing with a spacious shower and an awesome mirror with a built in Bluetooth speaker. location is great, literally a two minute walk to Hounslow West subway station and surrounded by great food places. would love to stay here again.

only criticism is there were some large stains on the carpet in the room.

This is the second time we have stayed here and again had a wonderful time. Hotel is great value for money and very near the underground and on main bus routes into London. Rooms were comfortable and hotel was clean offers free parking and staff were friendly. The garden at the back of hotel is lovely to sit out and have a cup of tea they are doing the hotel up and extending the hotel and adding a Indian restaurant at the back. They also offer free breakfast.

Just a little thing breakfast if you got down a little late breakfast was not restocked and things were not available.
