It is a beautiful, well maintained Victorian house which has been very sympathetically converted into a hotel: it has huge kerb appeal! The interior of the hotel is also very pleasing, with many original features retained and the decor is most appropriate for the era of the house and is meticulously maintained. Fairy lights and potted palms in the main reception rooms create a lovely ambience, both during the day and in the evening. The bar is well stocked and offers a good selection of draft beers, etc. The cooked breakfast is excellent, everything you could possibly want and the food we had in the evening was delicious. The staff in the hotel were very pleasant and couldn’t be more helpful. Last but definitely not least, is the way in which the hotel has made the most of its history, in the fact that one of the original Beatles, Stuart Sutcliffe, grew up in the house with his family. Every wall, in the public areas is adorned with framed photographs and original letters telling the story of his life, along with superb artwork and his guitars. It is all beautifully done, like you would see in a museum and a ‘must see’ for all Beatles fans !!

There was very little I didn’t like about the Sefton Hotel! The fact that it is a Grade Two listed building means that the bedrooms are on the small side but that’s the way they were in those days and there was no lift, that said, it wouldn’t put me off staying there in the future, my husband and I really loved it!

Perfect for larger families and pets can also stay. We stayed 3 nights in the coach room situated next door to hotel with a separate entrance. It had a large living room with a big corner sofa, large TV and a big table to sit around. In the bedroom there were 3 double beds and off this there are 2 shower and toilet rooms. Hairdryer and iron/ board Staff very friendly and accommodating. In the hotel there is a bar area and they also have a restaurant. Perfect location by the park and with easy access to bars /restaurants and liverpool town centre We left my daughters jewellery and hotel let us know straight away. Would recommend and will definitely use it again in the future when visiting liverpool Thank you for a great stay

Was all good .Maybe a small Fridge in room would be beneficial for customers with small children and for water /drinks but otherwise great. You can get drinks from the bar, though, which night staff assisted with without any issues when I wanted water late at night

-Location near Liverpool City Center was very convenient. -Had a safe free parking across from the hotel. -Fast WiFi. -Coffee/Tea facilities were nice, plenty of milk unlike any hotel I've been to. -The staff are really friendly, helpful and welcoming. -The price was ok compared to the rocket prices of rooms in the city center. -The room was clean, had a private bathroom and they provided basic needs which we only needed to stay one night. -Sefton park across from the hotel was breathtaking.

Not major issues to me but I stated them for those into details like me. -The building seems like an old villa/vacation house and converted into a hotel. It is very beautiful but lacks some comfort components like a lift, secure room doors (it was a regular key). -During our stay the fresh paint smell filled the place. -The rooms were not sound proof. -The beds were noisy and squeaky. -The floors were wood I guess under the carpet and noisy as well with every step. -Some noises were reaching the top floor where we stayed which I presumed to be the bar downstairs?? But thankfully it was until 11 pm only. -Taking a 25 pounds deposit.

Most of the staff were helpful and friendly. The staff giving out Breakfast were especially nice. Breakfast itself however took a fairly long time to come, and food items were of a pretty poor standard. There were no juices out on the table and would have to be specially requested. What I recieved was definately not worth the price of over £10 per person. The house is just across from the park and was much nicer than city centre locations. You are probably better to travel there by car as it is a little out of the way of most popular locations although there were bus stops close at hand. Decor and furnishings were a little tired and perhaps not set up to the highest standard. There were some stains on shower and curtains although everything appeared to be clean. Room itself was a good size .View of park was an added bonus. Although pets were allowed the room was nice and quiet. The price reflected the few minor issues and overall I feel we had good value for our money

Excellent

Well the only thing I didn't like was the fact that I was supposed to be paying there at the property. Yet two days before I checked in the money cane out of my account and made me overdrawn causing me to be charged. I had also paid a bit more for the pay at the property option so it cost me around £50 more when I could have chosen the pay immediately option in the first place. I also sent an email to the hotel after the money had come out complaining about this and had no reply . So whilst the hotel was great when we were there I was unhappy about this and wouldn't return because of this

Lovely building with lots of historical pieces spread throughout the stairway, worth a read. The staff were all really friendly. Breakfast smelled amazing but we missed it because our dogs walk very slowly... the hotel is directly opposite the park which is perfect for a stroll with the dogs or a run around.

No elevator/lift, which was a bit awkward just for getting my dog up and down as he is old with back leg problems. Everything else was great.

Fantastic location, clean beautiful restaurant and bar area. Good car parking area, public transportation you won't be disappointed. Outdoor coffee van in the gardens, opposite a beautiful park land to stroll around and sit on the grass. The breakfast is worth every cent.

I would struggle to say there was anything I didn't like about this hotel, please note there are stairs to the rooms no porter so if you have luggage it might be a challenge.

Great value for money (free onsite parking included) and the room was clean and nicely decorated.

Our room was on the top floor, which meant carrying bags up about 40 stairs, as there was no lift. For those who are less mobile I recommend requesting a room on a lower floor. There was no space for bags in the room. Please note that we booked the evening before our stay and chose a cheap option so this review may not reflect all of the rooms.

The staff were lovely, extremely friendly and helpful. Comfortable but basic room. Fans provided in room. Good breakfast (at additional cost). Nice bar. The location was ideal as we attended a Wedding nearby. Opposite beautiful Sefton Park.

Room was quite basic. Shame breakfast wasn't included in the room price. No lift for disabled people.
