Livingston Lodge Hotel

Stayed here before a flight. Nice welcome, comfortable bed,?easy checkout. We didn’t use the restaurant or pub but they looked nice.

Two things. The soap disperser in our room could do with bring renewed. Secondly we arrived late evening when it was dark. There is a tiny dark spot just where start to you walk (at the first turn) from the carpark to the bedrooms. It means it took me a while to work out where I was to walk, and I almost tripped when I was carrying two heavy bags as at that on point I couldn’t see the ground clearly. Probably a fairly easy fix as the area as a whole is well lit.

The room I was allocated was comfortable and extremely clean. Check in was straight forward. Shower worked pretty well. Decent sized car park and the accomodation was easily accessible from the main road. Apart from the size of the bathroom, the quality of the room were similar to those of travelodge etc.

Bathroom was a bit too narrow, perhaps a smaller sink and a bi-folding or sliding door to make access a bit easier. Also building seemed to be very creaky for what seem to be a modern build.

Good location if one wants to visit Edinburgh and Glasgow, and wants to have an affordable accommodation. The train station is just 10 min walking distance and it takes additional 20 min by train to reach the city. The public pub serves good pub food and there is a grocery shop and lovely sandwich/pastry shop nearby (you have to grab their bacon roll for breakfast).

The pub can be quite noisy in the evening as the local youngsters seem to like the place. The rooms are not so sound proof.But it's all right:)

What I liked most was the fact that we had Wc facillities ensuite and the Bed were Extremely Comfortable.

The only thing that we disliked was the fact that the People using the Pubs outside seating area were very often very loud and it was at times ver difficult to get any sleep,as we go to bed early so that we could get an early start on out travels within Scotland.

Room wasn’t as small as reviews say. Really quiet, wasn’t affected my adjacent room guests at all. Restaurant food was so nice. Would recommend fajitas

My hairdryer almost caught on fire after 10 seconds of being on. When I took the smoking hairdryer to staff they seemed… unbothered and didn’t supply me with a new one

Our room was basic but clean and perfectly pleasant. The location was ideal for us and there was a supermarket opposite and a few takeaways around. We also used the on site bar, which was really handy. All the staff we dealt with were really friendly and helpful

There was nothing we didn't like, it was perfectly good value for money and we've already booked to come back next year

The Cajun Chicken Pasta is amazing. I have stayed at this hotel a fair few times. every time it has been a pleasant stay. the rooms are clean and well equipped. the showers are good. Staff are very friendly. Overall a great stay. See you next time I'm in Livingston.

Very quiet Comfy bed Lovley staff Clean Reasonable price Onsite food available

Booked a double room as we had a function at deer park . Room was clean and bed very comfy . We where having trouble with door pin getting in at 1am the guy on shift was really helpful and genuinely nice . It's handy that there is a pub there good and reasonable priced for drinks . Nice outdoor seating aswell . Got parked easy . Was quiet location would deffo stay here again. Only down side is I couldn't work the shower property and nearly flooded the bathroom.

Staff were really lovely, always smiling and showed us to our rooms. Rooms we're clean and tea, coffee, iron and hair dryer provided. We had a fantastic meal in the restaurant. Nothing fancy but we'll cooked and plenty of it. I highly recommend the fish and chips.

Beds were uncomfortable, cheap mattresses needed renewing. I didn't sleep much due to springs hurting my hips and shoulders.

Friendly staff, clean and spacious room

Despite the hotel being next to a loud pub, the room was well insulated and I couldn't hear a thing. However, the sound travels within the hotel, and even though other guests weren't being noisy, it could get quite loud
