The rooms were lovley, and the bed was absolutely comfortable❤️ The room even had a mini pair of straighteners to use and a standing fan. Which was a life safer due to the hot weather!!. My best friend and i stayed here for two nights as we went to watch harry styles at Murrayfield. The room was the perfect spot and just a short walk to the station for any trips to Edinburgh City Center. It's definitely worth value. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.
Honestly, there was nothing we didn't like. The shower did take a while to get to the right temperature setting, but honestly, that was about it.

Perfect food , beers , staff ,rooms just what we needed for the party at the palace. despite my wee minor crits - I would stay again and that for the hotel is what counts
this is no reflection on the staff. the location of the hotel on the main road with early morning traffic was a wake up call . however the breakfast more than made up for it. there are people who complain for complain sake - if i was to give negative it would be my standards. dust on surfaces happens but ... once a month a deep clean per week/month can remove this.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Rooms were clean, warm and very comfy beds. Toilet very small but room size was good. Lovely breakfast in morning and evening meals were fantastic. Ate every night in hotel. There is a pub next door and other pubs /restaurant/sightseeing just a short walk away. Was my first time in linlithgow and would Definitely come back to the town and to this hotel. Only negative is that it doesn't have a lift so difficult to go upstairs if you have mobility problems. Also car park is round the back of the hotel so you need to walk around it. But 10/10 for our stay .

The fresh coffee machine was a lovely touch. The lady sorted a free breakfast as this was on the advert but the booking conformation came through as room only. The bed was very comfortable 😌 Lovely to have a bath.Lots of extras in the room like iron, ironing board etc
The heater in the room needed painting/updating it was shabby looking although it did keep the room nice and warm. The bathroom was cold and the large drafty window didn't have obscured glass so had to have the blind down all the time, there was chipped paint in the bathroom too, it just needed a bit of TLC. As the room was right on a main road it was noisy with a metal manhole cover which was lose, every time a vehicle went over it I could hear it in the room.

This is the 2nd time that we've stayed here. The staff are far nicer and more hospitable than many of the 5* places in Edinburgh that we've stayed in. As people who use to be local, but now live in Co. Durham. We are really grateful to know that there is somewhere we can use as a base for visiting friends and family around the central belt, without any bother. Prior to arrival, there had been some confusion regarding 1 member of our party, however could not have been more impressed with how the situation was handled and help that was given. This Hotel/Pub is not trying to compete with bigger brands near by. And in our opinion, it really doesn't need to. It's clean, friendly, serves decent food and drink, and is in a great location. It's excellent value for money and we look forward to staying again.
Nothing.

The West Port premises were the only ones that ~I could find that were actually in Linlithgow. Attitude and friendliness of staff were first-class. The only adverse comment that I had about the food was that the bacon was too salty for my taste, but I do not like salty food. anyway. Quality of the bacon was good, however. The rhubarb crumble was excellent. Size of the room was very good.
The television remote was bad as it required to be very close range in order to work.

The pub/restaurant was very comfortable and welcoming, the onsite parking was also a bonus! I stayed for two nights; my room was a small twin, but equipped with everything I needed.. the beds were clean and comfortable. Tea/Coffee tray well stocked, and the coffee machine was a real treat! couldn’t fault it! would definitely stay again.
The only down side that could be commented upon, is the road noise and the size of the bathroom. There is a busy road, but the traffic isn’t going all night, and you can inform the staff on arrival if it will be an issue for you. personally it didn’t stop me sleeping. The bathroom was small, but adequate, the shower was good quality, and decent temperature!

Helpful friendly staff, comfortable relaxed atmosphere. The property appears to be run very efficiently. The fire alarm went off in the early hours of the morning and this was dealt with very efficiently, being a false alarm it was quickly shut down and silenced, causing minimum inconvenience. This is not the first time that we have used your facilities in Linlithgow and I am sure that we will use your hotel and restaurant again in the future
breakfast menu could do with further choices such as fruit juice, porridge, cereals etc

This was our first stop of 6 hotels around the country, and it met my expectations. The staff was very accommodating and very friendly. The room was pleasant, and was comfortable, but slightly on the small side, but we made due. The beds were comfortable, and I liked that they weren't side-by-side in our room (we were family of 3, and had two beds in the room). The bathroom was a bit small, but not out of the ordinary in comparison with the other places we stayed. A hot breakfast was included, which was good. The location is perfect to walk around town and up to Linlithgow Castle.
The only complaint I have is that the room and bathroom are slightly smaller than I was expecting (but after going to other hotels, it was not that much smaller. I enjoyed the stay here.

Central location, quaint, friendly laid back atmosphere, comfy bed! Staff go beyond to make you feel welcome. Rooms were clean and well equipped with tea, coffee( even a nespresso machine). I met friends for dinner…good menu, very tasty! Free parking
My room was a wee bit noisy ( I must remember to bring ear plugs next time) as I live in the country. If you’re used to passing traffic this won’t be a problem. The bathroom was exceptionally clean but had a foosty smell and no, I didn’t say anything as I was only staying one night and once the door was closed you couldn’t smell anything.
