Staff were very friendly and professional, the room was very clean , there were items such as tea and coffee making facilities in addition to a hair dryer available. There were some rips in the net curtains which made the hotel look shabby and the exterior of the hotel needs to be cleaned. The breakfast was really good.

The hotel was exceptional:) I really enjoyed my time there. Friendly staff and clean and cosy rooms. And free continental breakfast was free. We were a little late arriving at the hotel, and they even waited for our arrival.

My father passed while I was there 😢 they did everything they could possibly do to save him. The ambulance team came within minutes and tried everything to get my dad back. The very nice and comforting police woman calmed us down and stayed with us until the undertakers arrived. The nice hotel staff gave us an extra room for me and my mum. We booked the holiday for 7 days. But we couldn't stay, the owner of the Iris Hotel refunded me for 2 days and she was heartbroken for what has happened. Even the staff member who stayed with me and was crying, I didn't know he lost his dad as well. Thanks for everything, and I will be coming back very soon.

I have stayed at this hotel before as the Elsinore was being renovated and I was referred to the Iris and so I booked to stay again as I really enjoyed my time there. It's in the perfect location with Craigy don to the right and the Big Orme to the left, it's right on the sea front (I'd definitely recommend a sea view). We stayed for three nights in a superior double sea view and it's the best hotel I've stayed in so far in terms of comfort, location, price and cleanliness. The staff are really friendly, welcoming and approachable, we had a continental for free with the hotel which did include a type of egg (scrambled,poached etc) with cereals, toast, fruit,yoghurts , tea/coffee/juices. The hospitality staff at breakfast and throughout were efficient and maintained areas all the time. The staff work extremely hard😊

We wasn't quite sure how to use the bath as there was just a tap that you lift up and down to turn on, left and right for temperatures but that's minor as the shower worked

The room had a king size bed and was close to the lift and stairs. It also had a sea view which makes the difference.

The price was affordable and the location is really good. Although the single room was small, it had a window, a desk with a chair, a bed, some mirrors, cabinet, wardrobe, and private bathroom within the room. Everything you could need was there such as a hairdryer, few sockets by the bed, fan, kettle, blackout curtains, complimentary soap, towels provided, etc. I didn't have the continental breakfast but that was free and included within the price of booking. Check in was simple and hassle free. I came early to leave my bags at reception and was able to check in early which was fantastic. Overall good experience. Would come back.

There was a specific type of smell in the room. Not sure how to really describe it. But you get a big whiff of it when you walk in and it just sticks around. But didn't notice it as much after. Maybe it was whatever they use to clean the rooms with.

We loved the location We loved the breakfast (freshly perfectly prepared poached eggs as well As the extensive continental Breakfast) The staff were extremely lovely, smiley and very helpful. Nothing too much trouble and very humble. Some bigger hotels are more corporate and make you feel like they do u a favour! Wifi in the bedrooms would be great (It is in public areas)

Very beautiful location ,The manager and all of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Had some issues with the WiFi connection that was resolved very quickly by the team. The room was cleaned up every day to a very high standard. Always nice and warm and I felt very welcome. I would definitely come back in the future. Thanks guys it was a pleasure staying with you 😊

Welsh people!!! Theres an attitude when they realise that you're ENGLISH..parking can be a little busy outside the hotel. it's also has parking meters that you have to be on top of as there's always a parking attendant waiting for you. I got a fixed penalty charge when I was moving my bags into the car on chirsmas eve!... Nice little chirsmas gift from the council!! But this isn't the hotel's fault...

Very well situated Hotel right on the Front - room was comfortable and a good size - Staff very helpful and friendly

Breakfast - Continental with a fairly good selection of food Ordered Poached Eggs on toast which came out straightaway and had no time to eat my cornflakes !!!!!!! Had to decide to either eat my eggs on toast and let my cornflakes go soggy or eat the cornflakes and let the eggs go cold Chose the eggs and when I cut into the yoke found them virtually hard boiled !!!!!!! could not eat them - you have to have runny poached eggs on toast surely - come on - so went back to my soggy cornflakes Breakfast was not a good - shame

Breakfast was continental only it seemed but that was fine, as it was also complimentary - a bonus when I’d booked room only. It also included a choice of eggs, so I had cereal, a yoghurt, coffee and scrambled egg on toast, topped with a tomato. Excellent location and friendly staff. I was in a family room on the ground floor, a lovely spacious room. A few minutes walk from the theatre along the prom.

Don’t think it has parking, so if travelling by car, try and find street parking away from the prom, for free (just check in street for parking signs). I happily found parking and was expecting to street park, so wasn’t a problem.
