Milverton House

When We booked the impression was breakfast was included apparently it wasn't - if we wanted breakfast it was at extra cost so a little disappointed. Not hotels fault but ours should have checked before we booked.

Mine hosts, Linda & Gaynor, were very friendly and welcoming, the breakfast (cooked by Gaynor I suspect) was done to perfection, the room including the ensuite (although small) was lovely, clean and tastefully decorated, I should also give mention to Lily & Anna who helped serve at breakfast, 2 well mannered and pleasant young girls, the B&B is very central with the pier and shops literally just a couple of minutes walk away.

The only downside is the lack of private parking, we were lucky to find a free parking space but it was approx 4 streets away, luckily we didn't need to use the car for the 2 days/nights we were there, I suspect we would've had to find another space on our return if we had.

It was a nice room and the owners were very nice very clean and the breakfast was excellent 👌

Had the top room it was a little small and on the 3rd floor but only stayed 2 night but was very comfortable and also had a lift.

The staff are exceptionally friendly and will do anything to make your stay memorable. The breakfast was also exceptional, particularly the cooked breakfast which was extremely hot and very flavoursome, not like in some hotels where within a few minutes it is luke warm. A lift - as my wife has a problem walking up flights of stairs, so this was a welcome feature that we looked for when we booked.

The free wifi is excellent when working correctly, but it kept dropping out particularly overnight. We were there on a Friday and Saturday night and had a rear room (No. 5) on the second floor and night clubs are not far away and there is a lot of noise at kicking out time around 3.00 am which if you have the room window open you can hear, plus the seagull 'night shift' also add to the noise. Mid-week may be completely different if the night clubs are not open.

very friendly and helpful staff. good to have a lift (most don’t). lovely fresh fruit starter for breakfast was delicious and impressive!

no toiletries at all. there was a hand soap pump but a bar of soap would have been very nice when we arrived on a hot day

Excellent location for the beach, shops, eateries and public transport. Linda was a perfect host, who made us feel welcome on our arrival and offered friendly advise on places to eat, visit etc. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay, toiletries, tea/coffee, hairdryer, TV etc. The plentiful breakfast was exceptional, freshly cooked and served piping hot. I would definitely recommend Milverton House to those looking for a place to stay.

Nothing, Milverton House was exceptional value for money. There is not car park so guest will need to find a parking space elsewhere. there is plenty of metered parking nearby and this will cost just over £5 per day. Parking between 4 pm and 10 am is free of charge.

Made to feel at home from the moment I walked through the door . Rooms were spotlessly clean , quiet ( apart from the seagulls ) and had everything I needed . Make sure you ask for fruit when having breakfast ..........

Breakfast was excellent, as was host Linda, who was always cheery and a mine of information on places to visit and restaurants to try. The whole place was very clean and tidy, and Linda was doing her very best to make sure everyone remained free from Covid. Very central location only minutes from the promenade and pier. Lots of choice nearby for places to eat and drink.

The en suite bathroom, and particularly the shower cubicle, was quite small. On-street parking was a bit of a lottery.

The location was great, the shower very good and Linda, one of the proprietors, was extremely welcoming and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. She gave us hints on parking, eating places and where to visit.

The room was on the small side for two people, but there was plenty of storage space. The breakfast could have had more choice.
