Lauriston & Lawton Court Hotel

Staff were excellent, really friendly and helpful. I was last minute for breakfast before we left but that was no bother they served with a smile and very nice breakfast it was to. I was very impressed with the service which is lacking in so many hotels these days. The bed was very comfy and with the window open you could hear the sea which was great. Location for us was perfect and has a car park which like all around these areas was very tight.

The only thing I could fault them on was one you had to share the toilet seat with the sink it was a tight fit and the shower had one temperature scolding hot, didn't matter which way you turned it, it was molten laver. I had to stand next to the water and flick it over me. Made showers longer and harder to enjoy. I managed. I spoke to the receptionist but I don't think they could have done much at such short notice.

We mentioned we were vegan before arrival and we’re told they’d meet our needs, sorry to say the only options was vegetarian but I think it’s the whole of wales that don’t want to accommodate vegans.

The hotel was in a perfect location, view from our room was fantastic. Very comfortable room . Had the parking down to a tea . Staff very friendly, nothing to much trouble , the manager has an excellent team . Highly recommend will stay again for sure. Thank you for an excellent stay.

Excellent quality breakfast. No skimping there. Comfy bed. Friendly helpful staff. Right by the pier. Cosy and homely.

On the first day the breakfast service was a bit all over the place. Probably due to staffing issues. Our room looked out into the back of other buildings and was the route to the fire exit. We were at the very top floor but at least it made us walk off our breakfast (which was delicious though). The interior is a bit dated amd shabby around the stairway areas but it's a typical seaside resort hotel in an older building so to be expected. There was no lift (which we knew about).

Fabulous general manager, great position, fab breakfast. Payment for parking is £5 per day and worth it. A couple of minor things , a bit of wallpaper coming off above radiator, and shower sealant needs attention.

I just wish they had a lift 😂

This particular visit we stayed in the 'Red' section of the hotel. We would probably avoid this in future as early morning noise from the kitchen travels up the stairs

our room was on the top floor so had to go up four flights of stairs didn’t mind just took me a while

excellent location in LLandudno near the pier with view of the sea from the breakfast room. the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating the breakfast was really good. the family suite we stayed in had 2 separate rooms which gave us more privacy than a twin room

The parking was extremely tight in the hotel car park, accessed down a narrow lane at the rear of the hotel. It took a fair bit of manoeuvring with my friend watching the back of the car. The parking was well organised by the hotel staff. I understand that the parking charge of £5/day was because I had booked through an agent. The hotel had a policy of filling a form in for towel changes and extra toiletries etc. There wasn't a routine turning down of rooms unless you asked for it.

Perfectly located within a stone's throw of the seafront and the pier. Charming connecting Victorian houses are tastefully decorated. Comfortable, well equipped bedroom and bathroom, cleverly using the original dimensions. Good quality towels and room well-stocked with tea and coffee with extras on request. Friendly, welcoming staff. Very good breakfast allowing for choice with quantity as well as quality. On-site bar in the reception with comfortable lounge looking out onto the seafront. Within a short walk of restaurants and shopping area. Tourist buses and local routes give you plenty of option to visit nearby points of interest and leave the car during your stay.

Rather than "not like" these are points to consider: Location is great but will have the usual drawbacks in peak season e.g. parking. There is a very small area behind the hotel tricky to negotiate. Reception staff also help with finding a space along the seafront but moving the car is a problem so walk or use the buses. Staircases are narrow accessing the bedrooms so if you have mobility problems keep this in mind.
