Elsinore Hotel Llandudno

Great location. Lovely staff. Breakfast buffet included and plenty of choice. Room was comfy and had everything we needed.

Can't really think of anything that we didn't like. Could have done with a slightly longer bath in the room and maybe a faster toaster on the breakfast buffet.......

The location is excellent, directly on the sea front and around 500 yards from all facilities... Room was ideal, with 2 x king sized bed in it. Breakfast was lovely, good portions and cooked well. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help if needed.

Only draw back was due to the age of the building, the stairway is narrow and steep. This was not an issue for us, but for a less able person it may create a problem. Would look at getting a room on a lower floor in that instance.

Good value room right on the Llunduno seafront. Its the location that makes this hotel a bargain. So I forgive the other in hotel services which were completely lacking. The staff were great. Very easy going and allowed me to bring in my bike to secure it safely in the bar area (which was out of use). Room was comfortable and clean.

Unfortunately due to Covid they weren't able to serve any kind of breakfast and didn't even offer room service of any kind. Just a cold continental breakfast 🥐 would have been great. No kettle or tea/coffee making facilities in room.

To be fair, I can’t fault this hotel in terms of value for money. While its interiors are a little rough around the edges, what it offers in terms of location, room cleanliness and comfort and breakfast was unquestionably great value. I was particularly impressed by: - the price - the location (on the seafront) - the power shower - the room comfort - the TV channel selection - the breakfast selection

The only downside is the lobby / public areas / corridors which were quite dated and shabby which didn’t give a good first impression. Nevertheless, the rooms themselves were clean, bright & pleasantly decorated.

I have stayed at the Elsinore 4 times now and has improved a lot since my first visit . And this time we got the Seaview room which was excellent . The room was very clean and spacious with everything you need in it , very comfortable big bed. The staff are very welcoming and helpful . The front of the b&b has a nice covered seating area which is great for sitting with a coffee early or late on looking out to sea . Location is excellent with everything close by and a great base for exploring llandudno and surrounding area . Parking on the front is free from 4pm until 10am and then only £6.50 a day and allways found a spot . A lot of the hotels along here are very expensive but the Elsinore offers good value and comfort for a sensible price .

There isn't really anything to dislike for the price it's a very good place as a base but one or two things do let it down. The internet is very poor with virtually non in the rooms and still poor downstairs. The stairs could do with being refurbished especially the carpets but looks like this is underway ( refurbishments are going slow ) and some very cheaply done , like sealant round sinks poorly done and let down the looks . If there was something I would have liked it would have been a full cooked breakfast not just the continental and an egg on toast ( done several ways ) . They used to do a full breakfast why not now ?

Stayed in room 202. Great view of sea and pier. Rooms are good size clean tidy, bin and towels changed daily, little shower gels provided, free continental breakfast was good , friendly pleasent helpfull staff. Good price for the stay.

Regards this room the matress extremely uncomfortable, sank straight into it, lying on springs. Shower head was a square fixed type to ceiling over a bath & water only came out of a third of the head, needed cleaning.. double plug socket coming away from wall, still worked but needs addressing..just a little tlc required.

Very clean and value for the money. Right opposite to the beach so that was really very beautiful. Bathrooms were clean and equipped with toiletries. The room was clean, although the wardrobe was old and bit worn out. But we didn’t use it so didn’t bother much. Well lighted, ventilated and had enough power sockets. Decent breakfast in the morning.

No Wi-Fi in rooms. This gave a lot of trouble since our own networks were not working well in this town, having Wi-Fi would have helped. The Wi-Fi in common areas was not working that well too.

Location of hotel was great, right on sea front, we had a sea view room also even though booking stated we'd be at the back of the hotel. Location to train station also good.

Didn't dislike anything although hotel could do with abit of updating, not something that bothers me and for the price of our stay I was more than happy and would book again. Continental breakfast was nice, hot option of eggs I found odd, breakfast was free so again not a complaint. There's a weatherspoons 2 minutes walk away if free eggs isn't to every one's taste

Our room was spotlessly clean , modernised & very comfortable . Shower was perfect power , lots of hot water . Bed comfortable & it was quiet . Fantastic location . The public areas could do with a revamp . The staff where friendly . The Owners have a great little Hotel on their hands & with a bit of tweaking it could be brilliant . Ask for a room on a lower floor if you have any walking issues as no lift .

It’s not that I didn’t like the public areas but they do areas need revamping . If they replace the stair carpets etc this place would have got a 10 from me . No wifi in rooms & public area wi-if not working . Honestly if these small things where adjusted the Owners have a cracking Little Hotel .

Despite the awful reviews i have read. Room 102 was excellent clean, serviced every day, the staff were lovely, the location out of this world. The breakfast, and the lady waitress were brilliant. Only downside was Wifi situation, and lack of phone in bedroom. Hotel is dated, but you can see the attempts to upgrade it bit by bit are in evidence. I would return in a heartbeat if I could have same room.

No WiFi in room, phone service not brilliant.
