Location was good - handy for town (although up a big hill). The views are great. Shower was hot, wifi good (even uptairs), sheets were clean, bathroom was clean, room was big enough (not a usual cramped budget brand room). Breakfast was nice... pancake making machine on the weekend. The staff were happy to cook us paoched eggs and bacon or a full breakfast too. Croissant were nice and there was cereal, fruit and yoghurts. Overall great value for the price we paid, not a fancy place but met our expectations.

Parking is challenging - it's on a hill but at the weekend also very busy. The bed wasn't that comfy (although partly because it was too small for us but it was a double as advertised so we'll know for next time). Breakfast room could do with a deeper clean. Decor is dated but it's exactly what's in the photo - an update would be a huge job! There are some really nice original features but the decor doesn't highlight them. The stairs are creaky and the walls are thin so noise was a bit of an issue in the morning. Still overall good value and pleasant stay. We enjoyed food at "home-cooked" and "Mediterranean" restaurant - but finding restaurants was a bit of a challenge and most meals were unremarkable. Llandudno seems a bit faded (but it was out of season).

Quiet location in an elevated position so had great views of Llandudno beach. It is quite a steep hill to walk up but fine if you are fit! The happy valley gardens and cable car for the Great Orme are very close by and the pier and town are literally a 5 minute walk down the hill.

Although it is a dog friendly hotel there wasn't a proper place to eat breakfast, the area designated only had low tables and leather sofas which is not designed for eating your cooked breakfast (which was delicious) but a bit disappointing. If they had a proper dining area where I could eat with my dog then this hotel would have met my expectations. Sorry.

A wonderful building with many Victorian features, located on the side of the Great Orme, backing onto Happy Valley and a short walk from the Cable Car station. Our room featured what appeared to be Welsh oak furniture reminiscent of items my grandfather made over 100yrs ago. Staff were without exception friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent and specific dietary needs were competently met.

The features that might need to be considered before visiting, detailed below, are I believe inherent in the type of building and it's location. The access road to the hotel is quite steep, with on road parking (no charge) but sometimes with no spaces left at the end of the day. Rooms are not soundproof and we were disturbed in the night by a crying baby, and one evening by a dog left alone in their room and barking continually.

Although a little steep to walk up to property, its well worth it. The views are stunning and it's right next to a fabulous green area for walking the dog and views of the sea. Will definitely be returning. Also the staff can't do enough for you. I happened to mention it was our wedding anniversary and could we get a curry delivered as we couldn't take our dog into the restaurant, no problem. When we got back to our room, there was a bottle of bubbly and an anniversary card, what a lovely gesture. We had a lovely evening and sat outside, after our curry, with a drink and taking in the view. Thank you so much.

Breakfast was fantastic! There was a huge choice - everything I could possibly want and more. My room was really nice, with a great view. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. I loved the hotel, perched up on the hill with wonderful views. As well as the bar and dining room, it had a nice lounge overlooking the sea, also a little conservatory on the first floor, with pretty stained glass windows and great views. My dog was allowed to stay in my room while I went to breakfast, and it was easy to walk her with Happy Valley just next door.

The only disappointing thing for me was that my room was up three flights of stairs (no lift) and my dog has short legs! However, I probably left fitter than I arrived! It’s also worth noting that the hotel doesn’t do evening meals, although it’s easy to book in at Brig Y Don, the sister hotel on the sea front. Llandudno is full of places to eat, and there’s a fish & chip shop nearby, too.

The hotel is in a great spot , we arrived at 8ish on the friday dropped our bags and straight out for food and drinks , our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and lots of nice touches we didnt expect like cotton buds make up pads in a little beauty kit shampoo and shower gel sachets tea coffee milk sugar hot chocolate etc we had a little table and chairs overlooking the gardens and felt so relaxing waking up there going down for a beautiful breakfast that set us up for the day of exploring and walking. The staff were very nice the man on reception was welcoming and asked us if we were happy with everything each time we saw him . So many more lovely things i could say but it felt like home and that for me is the best endorsement for a hotel , the character of the building is wonderful and nice touches like a seating area on the landing to take in the gorgeous views over Llandudno prom and pier .The staircase is beautiful the pictures on the stairs are a nice touch it gave us resident evil vibes but in a good way . A last minute booking that turned out to be one of our favourite weekends away in a long time the breakfast is one of the best we have had for a long time even in very expensive hotels and the choice was superb the ladies serving both mornings were so friendly and welcoming it was a nice easy relaxed start to the day ,Keep doing what you are doing you have an amazing team getting it right.

Going home i wanted to stay for another 2 days at least

We had a lovely stay, as soon as we arrived we was greeted by a lovely young man who quickly checked us in and asked what time we would like breakfast for in the morning nothing was too much trouble at all, I travel a lot with my dog who isn’t your average dog and again nothing was too much trouble for my dog and they didn’t judge by her fierce look/breed The room was spotlessly clean with everything we would need already set up. The views from our room were amazing even at night time. The breakfast for lovely too and plenty of choice. I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews regarding the hill and parking, we managed to park right outside with no problems and as for the hill yes it is a little steep but what do you expect for a hilltop hotel with stunning views? I’ve a bad back, a bad pelvis and heavily pregnant and managed the hill no problem 😃.. the only regret I have is not staying an extra night 😂.. we will definitely be back again. Thank you for a lovely stay and the welcoming hospitality

Room was lovely, views of sea was stunning. Breakfast was fantastic

I feel the breakfast plates being served from kitchen are too hot. I alway take plates off staff to save them leaning over table. To be fair the staff member did say the plates were hot. I used to work in kitchens so im used to handling hot plates. But when I took the plate off her it burned my finger. The plate was as if I'd took it out of oven, not a warmed plate at all. My 7yr old had the same hot plate which I had . I feel they are too hot for children and the elderly.

Location (fantastic views!). Very comfortable room. Excellent breakfast, a lot of choice. Very helpful and friendly staff. The original features in the hotel are very atmospheric, stained glass windows, grand entrance hall and dark wood staircase. We didn't bring a dog but saw the hotel was very 'dog-friendly' and was very accommodating to guests with dogs.

Some people with mobility problems would need a taxi to reach the hotel. Also there is no lift in the hotel which might be an obstacle to some guests.

Room was clean, tidy you wouldn't know dogs were allowed to stay there. Bed linen fresh, towels nice and white. Room was clean, bathroom was spotless. The decor of the hotel made it a traditional seaside hotel, loved the old Victorian photos they bought the hotel history to life. Breakfast was of high standard and quality, portion s were good.

I couldn't really make a comment. I spent most of my day out in the town and beaçh.
