Dover Hotel - B&B

Beds were very clean, shower room/bathroom was also clean. Was comfortable for a few days.

Breakfast. Went down for breakfast 1st morning but didn't bother after that. 4 choices of cereal was ok but milk served at room temperature. Toast was only white bread & served soggy. Pot of yogurt offered & that was it. Need more choices, could add Danish pastries and brown bread.

Property basic but adequate. I was very comfortable staying here and would stay again. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was advertised as having fruits but it didn’t. All that was on offer was cereal or toast (and I don’t eat cereal). This was a shame and the only real let down. Description should be updated to state only what will be on offer.

Location was very good for our needs. Breakfast was very convenient as well.

The room was pretty small, but was on the ground floor, which was convenient.

The Dover Hotel is cheap and cheerful. It's in a great location. The rooms are clean and practical. The staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. I've stayed in worse 3 and 4* hotels for a lot more money. It's a little gem of a hotel for those who want a cheap 1 or 2 night city break.

The rooms are very compact and due to this they get very warm at night. But it's better to be too warm than too cold. Also, due to the size of the rooms, there isn't much storage space as there were only 5 coat hangers on a rail and no drawers.

Kudos to staff especially at the reception they were really nice. Location was great!

The property is within easy reach of pubs and restaurants. Provided you arrive an hour or so before 6.30 in the evening you can park on the street overnight for as little as £5.00 parking is free after 6.30 pm until 08.30 am on the Belgrade Rd . Continental breakfast was good pleasant staff.

Our room was not end suite, the shower,sink and toilet were at right angles to the bedroom with a step down out of bedroom and step up into bathroom. Both steps are steep room 24 with fire door spring on bedroom door I felt a bit unsteady navigating this route! Not bad enough to complain or ask to move. Reception could have WIFI password on desk or a small info card. We had to ask for password.

The location is excellent, very close to the Victoria stations (tube, rail , coach) connecting to every part of London city. The price of the room is reasonable with breakfast. In addition. around the hotel area, there are lots of eatery, we have plenty of choices for an enjoyable dinner after a full day trip.The staff of the 24 hours reception were attentive and friendly, The Dover B&B providing the back bone for our wonderful experience for our 5days 4nights visit in London .Thank you!

Location was good, only 8 minutes walk from the coach station.

The noise, we were in room 1 next to the breakfast room. Got woken up at 6.45 with staff setting up. Then a constant stream of very loud people coming down the stairs for breakfast. I think that the staff should make people aware of this and offer an alternative room if required. Or even reduce the price of that room. We didn't go for breakfast as we don't eat that early. We were able to leave our bags in the little cloakroom when we checked out so we didn't have to lug them around. When we went to collect them we had a little breather in the foyer and a phone charge before heading off to the coach station. Overall it was a satisfactory stay, we would stay again because of the locality but ask for a different room

The hotel was in an excellent location, close to Victoria Station, short walk to Buckingham Palace, Westminster and Piccadilly, plenty of shops and places to eat & drink close by. The rooms were small but clean & comfortable, the staff were friendly and the reception staff were helpful with directions and tips about the tube stops etc, they even let us leave our luggage there while we went for a walk before catching our train home.

The breakfast room could possibly do with being a bit bigger and updated.
