Luna And Simone Hotel

The location was good,close to both Victoria Coach Station and the train station/underground and taxi ranks, making it very accessible for all of the major tourist sites. The hotel staff were very welcoming and accommodating, and were also very knowledgeable when it came to giving directions and transport information. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean. My friend and I had a room each and we were very satified with the facilities within it, tea/coffee, telephone, etc. The bed was very comfortable and the water was hot in the shower and of a good pressure. There were free toiletries for use. We were only there for two nights and all of the linen and towels were changed each day and of good quality. The breakfast included cereals, toast, and your choice of English breakfast components, and there was plenty of it. There is no lift in the hotel, as it is an original Victorian building, but this is made known in advance. My friend and I are 70+ and managed the stairs ok. If in doubt I would suggest contacting the hotel as I am sure they will try and accommodate any mobility issues raised, if they can. The security was excellent, with minisafes in the rooms, and all of the internal doors leading to the stairs, had extra security, as well as the main outside doors. All of the staff made us feel extremely at home and there was a great atmosphere overall enjoyed with the staff and other travellers.

There wasn't anything to dislike. I would definitely stay there again when visiting London.

It was cosy, warm, welcoming and sparkling clean. The staff so nice and friendly, we had a great stay.

The breakfast until 9 AM - when on holiday we tend to sleep until late and some mornings I missed the delicious breakfast they had. If possible to extend it at least until 10 😁

Location. Bus stop outside the property which enables a commute to all the attractions in London in minutes, in addition to the Supreme Court. Pimlico is also a great place for pubs and restaurants. Hospitality. The hosts were genuinely friendly and went the extra mile to ensure that I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast. Very comfortable bed.

I really could not fault anything.

The room was clean and comfortable. A decent size for a city hotel room. The owners/staff were very nice and breakfast was very good. You are served your choice from a small menu along with toast, juice coffee/tea. Bus route 24 is just outside and the underground station is a 10 minute walk.

Welcome atmosphere from communication prior to stay, to check in, breakfast and check out! Bonus - an offer to store luggage prior to check in time and after check out. We left at 10 am and returned at 6pm for our bags before a train journey home. I was nervous about travelling solo with my daughter, my partner found the hotel on here and it did live up to reviews and expectations. I felt completely comfortable and welcome. Good location in proximity to convenience stores, cafes/eateries and bars. Also close links to Victoria station/subway and Apollo Victoria where i was taking my daughter to Watch Wicked. Hotel clean and well maintained throughout. External and internal doors safe and secure. Room and wash facilities clean and well stocked. Our room was a Twin room on the 3rd floor. I can understand why some may find the stairs less than ideal but for a Victorian property it’s to be expected. We did as many steps in the city streets. Beds comfortable with one pillow and a cushion, I prefer two pillows but it didn’t affect sleep at all. I didn’t ask for a second pillow but I’m sure if I did they would have provided. Full nights sleep with no internal disturbances or outside noise. Rooms warm with a ceiling fan and openable windows. Breakfast room homely feel, which offered menu choice with good quality produce and top notch service. There were also returning customers during our stay which is always a good sign. Overall I found this little gem to be good value for money. I also feel customers experience is valued by staff here which naturally would uphold their hospitality standards. Would definitely return.

There isn’t anything I disliked, however the only constructive critique I could give for the room we had, the leather high back chair towers the counter space. To avoid having to lean over its back when using the drinks station or using the mirror, it requires moving outwards which then blocks the bottom of the second bed. It also doesn’t coincide with the height of the dressing table/counter top, when seated it drops you quite low. Maybe an under counter stool or lower backed chair would be more suitable.

Our room (no 5) was on the 1st floor and was a good size with doors opening to a small balcony overlooking the street. The bathroom was a decent size with a really good shower and everything was really clean, new towels and bins emptied every day. We woke up at 7am every morning to the smell of breakfast being made which was a great way to start the day. The breakfast was very good and the owners and staff who served it were brilliant. The reception staff were always very nice and helpful whether it was 1st thing in the morning or late at night when we came in after a show. The hotel itself is perfectly located for visiting London sights with quite a few within 20 mins walking and Victoria station and underground 10 mins walk for places further away. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and lots of shops for anything you might need. Would definitely stay here again.

Nothing, everything was great.

There could not be a better location for seeing the sites of London you can virtually walk and see everything. The owners put the Jolly back into Jolly old England. The breakfast was good and fast no wasting time when you should be out exploring.

Hmmmm four storey walk up is a little hard when you are over 70. However it was worth it for the location.

Stayed for 2 nights, a party of five. A lovely stay. Rooms were clean and adequate. All slept well as the area was very quiet. Breakfast was lovely. But the most appealing part is the owners, brothers, Peter and Bernard. They were both so welcoming and friendly as were all their staff. But I must say Peter went above and beyond to help one of our party resolve a small travel issue they had, which he didn't have to do, and that kind gesture made such a difference. We really appreciated it . Area is great to stay in to get around London as close to VIctoria Station 8 min walk or Pimllico tube 5 min walk. Bus 24 outside also. 10 min walk to Appollo Victoria theatre. Lovely restaurants close by and convenience shops. Highly highly recommend.

The people who ran it and other employees were helpful. The breakfast was great. Bus 24 stopped right outside the hotel.

I chose a very small room which was a bit inconvenient for two people. That was my decision. Also I was aware that the room was up 6 flights of stairs which could be daunting to some travelers. The man who checked us in carried one bag up for us. That was very kind. You would only want carryon luggage as we had. We were aware of all of these factors ahead of time.

This family run business is perfectly located in Pimlico with excellent transport (bus 24) at the door and Victoria a short walk away. The streets are quiet and yet full of restaurants, cafes, and Tesco just around the corner. It's perfectly located. The hotel itself is clean and tidy. Has a modern bathroom, and while it does not have a lift or ac, there is a good fan and lovely breeze. The biggest plus are the people, the brothers and family are brilliant and the staff are all friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay and will definitely return when back in London.

There was nothing we didn't like. We stayed on the top and found hot water took a long time to come all the way up.
