Mornington Hotel London Victoria

Good location near Victoria/Pimlico. Room was clean but very small with bed built in to an area next to the window and a wall at the top and bottom of the bed so one partner would need to climb over the other if on the Window side. Bed was extremely comfortable though. The bathroom was a reasonable size, nice & modern/clean and a very good shower. Whilst the room was small it was fine for a couple of nights as somewhere just to sleep.

There was no cupboard to hang any clothes just a few hooks. Tea making facility was good and well stocked except that the cable was not long enough to reach the socket and the kettle had to be sat on the bed to be plugged in which was not ideal.

Very friendly staff and well located for Victoria and for the Oval (where my conference was taking place). The room at first glance was very nice. The bed was comfortable with lots of pullows and cushions, the curtains are heavy and block out the light well. The rooms are small, for example no desk, but as long as you are prepared for that they are fine. Certainly served my purposes for a one night stay.

The bathroom is small and the shower head was a fountain style that was about as big as the cubicle. Therefore it made showering a bit of an effort as you can't escape the water! It also went all over the bathroom floor. On the plus side, the water pressure is very good. On closer inspection of the ceiling in the room, there was some mould/damp in the corner of the room which let down the very good first impression.

Beautiful luxurious decor and attention to detail. Designer and top class feel from reception to the room. Amazing brand new shower,comfy bed. The room was ‘cozy’ but the space was utilised well.The TV was huge. The bathroom was regular room size and had a stunning and spacious balcony. The room was quiet and peaceful Little extras like kettle ,tea and coffee and biscuits made all the difference and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or stay there again

Absolutely nothing

Super comfortable bed and beautiful decor. Felt cosy and comfortable. Located near a great selection of restaurants and cafes. Easy to find something to eat. Oh yes try the bakery only a few minutes from the hotel - it had great range of food and good coffee too.

Tiny room - great if travelling light but a little cramped with carry on and large suitcase - 20kg. Stairs no lift.

We arrived late and really only left our bags in, went for dinner and slept- the twin room is very small but absolutely fit for purpose and the pricing is excellent for the location. So if you want a place that is a good place to rest your head this hotel is great, if you want somewhere spacious with lots of facilities then not the best choice. The staff are very friendly and helpful too which is great.

The rooms are very small but that's a reflection on the type of building, the age of it and the regulations that cover off what you can and can't do in London.

convenient location, clean and comfortable

staff on checkin were rude and unprofessional. I didn’t have the card I booked with due to it being a virtual card (Apple Pay) and they insisted that they would be unable to check me in even though the hotel was booked and paid for. never had this issue before at any other hotels or this one as per previous bookings and when asking for a refund they miraculously no longer needed the card.

Great location not far from Pimilico. Clean modern rooms that are on the smaller side but with all the facilities you need for an overnight office trip (comfy bed, iron, kettle, decent shower etc). Staff were very friendly and helpful too. Overall, it is a superb value for money in that part of London.

The lack of a lift and having to use stairs with luggage were the only reason I knocked a mark of a perfect score.

Front staff was accommodating with requests to switch rooms during the stay because our room didnt have a window. Air Conditioning was great! Very clean. Not a lot of extra room in a double, but we really just slept there. A short walk to bus and tube, and bike rental. Great area down the street for eating at pubs and getting snacks and water at grocery and convenience store.

Coming from the states, Just not knowing that a room might not have a window...be sure and read the details.

The room was very clean and for the price you pay and the super central london location, the room was a good size. It is small, but if you want a large room in this location you must be paying 3x as much. The shower was great, nice products in the bathroom and the bed was so comfortable with feather filled pillows and lovely decorative throw cusions. The decor was modern, with great black out curtains. Our room was at the back so it was so quiet, so had a great night sleep.Staff were so friendly and helpful. My mum was not keen on walking up to the top floor so they accomodated us by giving us a room on a lower floor. We even received a follow up call from reception to our room to make sure we were happy with everything. Will definitely be using the Mornington again.

Absolutely nothing. Perfect stay. The price to comfort ratio, you wont get in this area at another hotel for sure.

I would get rid of the phone next to the bed to give more room on a side table - quite a lot of stuff on the bed. It looked nice but had to keep throwing it on the floor. a chair would have been useful but not essential
