OYO Townhouse New England, London Victoria

Great location, pretty good room standard for London. Easy to get around. Decent beds. Good value for money.

No breakfast available at the property now, so not as seen on the pictures fully. We could hear everything from the street below because of the one-glass-windows

it has everything you need for a solo traveller. I would have liked the option for breakfast in the morning but that’s no real issue. the property was relatively clean but I did notice my towels are not particularly clean and had a smell to them? other than that, I was happy!

The property is in a great location, right beside Victoria station which linked into all the underground stations. The staff were very friendly and kindly printed out a document for us, we arrived much earlier than check in and were able to leave our bags at the property while we went out to explore, we were also able to do this on the day we checked out. The bathroom is modern and has a great shower with shower gel provided. Beds were comfy and the room had a hairdryer which was very handy. We were only really at the property for sleeping but we had no complaints.

Not much to say for this, we were able to hear other people moving around on the stairs but this is to be expected with a building of its age and didn’t really bother us at all - still had a good nights sleep.

Ignore the bad reviews, the Oyo Townhouse is lovely. We took three rooms, twice: for one night after landing, then three nights the next week. The Oyo staff accommodated our requests to have rooms near each other and were helpful in every way. The location is superb, near Victoria coach and tube stations and lots of places to eat and get supplies nearby. The blackout curtains are very good, even right by the street. Don't miss Gail's bakery for fresh breakfast pastries, coffee, porridge and juice (7.30 a.m. open)

More than 50% of hair dryers in our rooms didn't work and a power socket. A little maintenance required. Phonecalls are through an Indian call centre, which was a bit frustrating as I wanted to discuss the room situation directly, however the message did get through.

Location was excellent for us, room was as it was in photos.

There was some untidyness; by the shower you could see a lot of grime between the shower and wall, bedside lamps could be dusted more often

The OYO Townhouse New England was very accessible to the coach station and the underground. Our room was clean and taken care of by the staff. The reception staff were attentive and were available to answer any questions that we had. They were evening ready to help us book a cab to the airport.

The room was smaller than I was expecting from the photos. I did not realize what a squeeze it was going to be. We had two small children and two adults. We managed especially since we were only there for sleeping.

It's on the left on a corner. The location is perfect for both Victoria Coach Station and Victoria train station. You walk over Elizabeth Bridge and then it's a 2 minute walk to the hotel on St George's Drive. The room was very comfortable boasting a very modern and elegant bathroom, providing a hairdryer. There was a TV in the room. Good ventilation from a large window. Value for money this was quite amazing for London prices. I paid £65. The street it is on breaks up into Eccelstone Square and then the numbers resume after that so don't be confused! Keep going along the street. It's on the left on a corner. You can't miss it!

Surprised there was no kettle or cups in room nor any dining in option/tea or coffee available in lobby but we asked, and staff did provide us with a kettle and two mugs the evening of the first day. We had our own tea and coffee and some spoons luckily. Shops are five to ten minute walk away for supplies. Bathroom very small with sink directly in front of loo. Mum cracked her head on the basin in the night.

well located and reasonable priced

a little noisy from the closing of doors from adjacent rooms (door soft closers weren’t set correctly and doors slammed shut). Shower was modern and clean but the large fixed overhead shower head wasn’t helpful if you wanted to wash specific body parts. Also the shower tray didn’t drain very well. No “do not disturb” door signal cards for cleaners so we interrupted whilst to sleep in the morning, easily problem to resolve with the cards.

Very clean bathroom and bedding. Comfortable beds. Hairdryer available. Good base conditions close to the city center. I would recommend it if you need just a good overnight sleep not far from the city center for a better price.

There was only sun-flower shower in the bathroom. Quite challenging to wash a toddler. I had to invent how to do it. You may not always need to wash your head when you need a wash. No equipment to prepare a tea or coffee in the the morning.
