Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences

Great location to Victoria station, lovely size room with everything we needed. Unlike most hotels we stay in now days there was plenty of bottled water available. Breakfast was fantastic.

The staff were exceptional everyone of them worked to make our stay an amazing experience, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my mom and I have an exceptional experience. From the warm greetings upon arrival to the attentive service throughout, their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident. Their knowledge, attention to detail, and personalized approach made me feel valued and well-cared for. I highly recommend staying here for a truly unforgettable experience, where the exceptional staff sets a new standard in hospitality, the ladies at the spa took care of me and my mom while i was sick. The people who checked us in and out were amazing by accommodating our needs and offering workaround solutions for a very late checkout. The staff at the in room dyeing and most of all the cleaning staff they were the actual heroes of the whole experience. I love them all from the moment we walked until we left we were treated like one of their own families. This is my real honest opinion

With Taj 51 Buckingham Gate, I am always assured that service will score 1000 out of 100. Not only do the people at Taj exceed your expectation by 10 times, but they treat you like their family, with compassion and dedication unparallel to any hotel in the world!! I am so overwhelmed by my experience. I am a devoted Marriot Bonvoy member who prefers the Ritz or a Marriot brand/Partner Hotel in a new city--except when I am in London. Taj will be my go-to hotel--always. I specifically want to give a huge shout-out to these amazing people-- Mohit, for making the check-in process very welcoming (last year I had expressed my slight disappointment that check-in was less personal, and this year, the change already went into action--what a difference). Amit for ensuring that our booking process was stress-free and there was no conflict due to double booking-- we found a last-minute upgrade in room size. A huge thanks to Shubham for ensuring that our breakfast and special meals could meet the dietary restrictions of my elderly mother. He was there every single day, at the Kona Cafe, to meet and greet all his guests. Tapan, who was on night duty, helped us arrange an emergency visit to St Thomas--the local hospital. And a very big thanks to Ron-- he made special efforts to come to visit my mother with flowers after she came back from the hospital. He sent a fruit platter to our room and came to revisit her before we left but more than that he was always there to help out. Lana for meeting all the in-room needs of my family. Gabriella at Kona Cafe and Harsh took care of us while were there. I am sorry, I forgot the name of other staff members, but there was not a single person at Taj who made us feel less than VIPs. Nelson took care of our tours and Tibor, as always rushed to get the Taxi for us when we left for outings. I wish I could give 10 stars in every single category. We love you all @Taj!!

Actually, nothing. However, I have one thing that made me feel guilty-- the elevators --the King's Suites have only one elevator, and all the courteous staff at Taj, step out and take the stairs to ensure their guests have priority. They were always smiling as they yielded to the guests--often stepping out, but we felt guilty--I wish the KIng's Suites had service elevators too. Other suites do have additional elevators. With my elderly parents, we had to rely on the elevators. My young son took the stairs most of the time.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and knew our names right away. The concierges were especially knowledgable about transportation and restaurants and were interested in what we were seeing and doing. My enquiries to them before we arrived were answered promptly and with a personal touch. Our rooms were spacious, spotless and very well appointed, including the kitchen. There were a lot of little touches: Guard teddy bears on arrival, fruit in the room, cookies for the kids with their names on them, an unexpected birthday cake and Prosecco, turndown service. This is a family friendly (we had three from five to nine) but elegant place with the perfect location for sightseeing.

Great for families. The suite was big and was stocked with everything we needed to make it a comfortable stay. All the restaurants are family-friendly, the staff are very kind, the building is beautiful. The interior of the room looked better in person than in the pictures (Minister suite). Very comfortable and clean. The location is quiet and peaceful, but just a few minutes walking from the main sights. It was easy with a baby in a stroller and a 4 year old. The on-site restaurants where we ate (Kona and Quilon) did a great job accommodating my difficult dietary restrictions. It was a perfect experience!

location, size of room and bathroom; breakfast. Room was quiet. good a/c and good choice of coffee with plenty of water bottles.

tiny (standard size) shower in huge bathroom with no separate toilet , ie toilet is in same room as shower and bath. terrible curtains that didn’t close properly and a blind in the bedroom that was awkward to operate and did not stop light leaking in - with a very brightly lit forecourt this meant light seeking in all night. poor choice of teas for this standard of property. very uncomfortable sofa - not conducive for relaxation.

I’ve been in London for five months for medical treatment and almost tried most of the hotels, and I can say it’s the best! the room is clean and the staff always checking each time it’s cleaned (twice a day) I think the supervisor name is Jithu and all the staff are perfect .. the reception very friendly and the Resturant staff is professional and the food always fresh and tasty even the in room dining ( regards to the chef) honestly it’s the perfect place to stay in in London thank you for everything

The staff went above and beyond for us by sorting out my reservation. The service is always impeccable, and this is why we keep returning to the Taj. I must mention the Deputy Duty Manager- Sanya who was exceptional in the way she treated us and is a real asset to the hotel. Whilst her team were sorting out my reservation mishap, Sanya put us at ease straight away and took all the pressure off us. We will never forget this wonderful experience and will definitely return again! Thank you whole heartedly to the Taj team.

The staff were all very polite and welcoming, the room was spotlessly clean and well maintained, lovely courtyard. Concierge services were excellent as well as the reception team.

We waited a terribly long time in a queue for breakfast, the best part of thirty minutes, it seemed very haphazard, you had one individual seated at a table for five, then there was a party of five who had to wait for a table elsewhere, however, a party of two behind them were waiting to be seated and there was a table for four that had already been set up fifteen minutes or so and they were seated there, but only after the party of five had been seated. Queue management was not working very well at all.

The location is perfect - a few steps from the Buckingham Palace, but also within a walking distance from the Victoria Station tube. The suites are ideal for families - we had a 3 bedroom suite in the Kings building (140 sqm) and it was just perfect for a family with 2 teens who crave their privacy. Having 3 bathrooms also helped. The staff is friendly, the buffet breakfast is very good. The kitchen in the room is handy and well equipped - there was even a washing machine. We did not have a blender but they brought one within minutes. An ideal place for families who want to stay in Westminster and want enough space to stretch their legs.

Nothing serious. The lift in the Kings building is small and it serves both the guests and the housekeeping, so it's often slow. But it's a listed property so they can't really renovate it that much. I would love to have breakfast earlier than 7 am (would be great for those early morning airport rides) but what to do.
