The Tophams Hotel

Excellent location. Quiet street. Reasonably priced. Nice decor which was much nicer than the published photos. Comfortable rooms and beds and a spacious bathroom. Plenty of choice at breakfast.

The only issue was the sound from the bedroom above - I am a light sleeper and could hear all the movements from upstairs.

Hotel and the rooms are lovely. I was apprehensive due to bad reviews pre covid however hotel was taken over fairly recently and it is now stunning. Excellent location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again and would 100% recommend to others.

Excellent location, just around the corner from Victoria station, but with a Belgravia village feel. Lots of small local shops, bars, cafes, restaurants (and the Plumbers' Arms around the corner). Room (superior double) was a good size for central London and the bathroom had a full-sized bath and separate walk-in shower. The shower was powerful as well. Unlike some of these converted Regency townhouses, the hotel had a good sized lift. Plus – a big plus – we got an excellent deal through Booking.com.

The restaurant was being refurbished and breakfast was not available. But complimentary coffee and croissants were provided. We went out to a local 'greasy spoon' (the Green Cafe) for a full English at about £7 each, but could have gone to a nearer restaurant a few doors down Ebury Street offering smoothies and eggs florentine etc for twice the price (but in more salubrious surroundings).

Poor Isolation betwen rooms and courrediour. No resturent in thr hotel, it was closed during my stay. First night was terriple, i was in interconnected room and couldnt sleep all the night from the interconnected room. They made alot of noise all the night. They also opened the doors between the tow room and get into my room at 3:00 Am!! Reseptionedt did nothing at that night, but they moved me to another room the next night wich was downgraded for my room but quiter.

-Excellent location for transport links and within walking distance of several attractions. -Plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. -Beautiful building from the outside, lovely reception area. -Very quiet at night, comfortable bed, fair sized room with a fridge, tea and coffee facilities and freeview TV.. -Good selection of continental breakfast in a beautiful dining room with lovely hot coffee. -Room was ready early -Overall good for short stays

-Bathroom was dated and not as clean as expected for the cost of the room and star rating. There were actually some very dirty corners down the side of the shower screen. -Admittedly we didn't complain because of the short length of our stay, there didn't seem much point, so I can't comment on how complaints are handled. -Staff didn't come across as friendly, no one seemed to smile at guests. -We weren't overly thrilled with the staff member who stood in corner of the dining room, tray in hand, staring at us whilst we ate, waiting to clear our table 25 minutes before the dining room was due to close after breakfast.

This location was in a perfect location for us, literally 5 minute walk from Victoria theatre where we was seeing Wicked the musical, but also off the Main Street so no traffic or hustle of activity, the property was clean and really efficient with check in. The rooms were great, downstairs bathroom, bath shower, all the facilities needed. Highly recommended Also, this property is literally a half hour walk from most of the tourist sites, Buckingham palace Oxford street etc

Nothing really, the breakfast room was under refurbishment so couldn’t be helped, would have liked to try their breakfast selection but again as it was under refurb this couldn’t be helped. They did offer us complimentary coffee tea and pastries, but we wondered out for breakfast anyway.

The position of this hotel is excellent, just a few bus stops from Piccadilly and 2 tube stops from Westminster. The area is very quiet though, no noisy streets around. The staff has always been very kind and professional. It iappears that the hotel has been renovated recently, so everything was nice and tidy. The room confortable and the bathroom clean, only downside the shower was not adjustable in height. The continental breakfast was good, with a lot of choices (ham, salmon, cheese, fruit), they even made cappuccino for me. Pity there was no cooked English Breakfast, but I was advised before going there.

Provide English Breakfast, please! I'm a fan of it. The shower head could also be easily changed into one which can be adjusted in height. The price was a bit high, but honestly quite normal for the Christmas period.

The hotel's location is beyond perfect. You can walk to Buckingham Palace, Westminster, Trafalgar Square, Hyde Park, Piccadilly Circus. Plus - a five minute walk to Victoria Station. The street is quiet and yet there are lovely cafes and bakeries and restaurants where you can grab a meal or just a cappuccino. There is a little store to pick up snacks or fresh fruit, bread, cheese. Our rooms were attached and the beds were king size and comfortable. The bathrooms had separate showers and tubs - truly was ideal. At the end of a busy day, it was a pleasure to come back to the hotel.

I really have no complaints about the hotel. Housekeeping was great and responsive to any requests we had.

The hotel's location can only be described as spot on, sitting in the vibrant heart of London, right near Victoria Station. The convenience of having the train station nearby is not to be underestimated - it provides quick and easy access to the various corners of the city and beyond. Furthermore, the hotel's proximity to a multitude of London's top attractions is a massive plus. Walking just a few steps from the entrance, you find yourself within easy reach of an array of iconic sites. History buffs can easily reach Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament, while those with an inclination for art can enjoy a pleasant stroll to Tate Britain. With such a vast array of attractions within arm's reach, there's something to entice every traveler.

The only minor point to note is the room size, which may be slightly smaller than one might expect. However, this is quite understandable given the premium, central location of the hotel. Despite the compactness, the rooms are well-designed and efficient, ensuring you have everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Very well located in Belgravia, with Victoria station (trains, bus, coaches, underground) just 5 minutes away. The area is very calm and full of cafés and restaurants in the adjacent streets. The rooms are nice and cosy, but with a bath rather than a shower.

- As the hotel is covering several buildings which were joined together, there are lots of narrow corridors and various stairs connecting areas on the same floor - even if there is a main elevator, you need to carry luggage on several types of stairs according to where your room is located. - the bath had only a top central shower, no flexible (so long hair people have obligatorily wet hair each morning !)
