The Clermont London, Victoria

We had the pleasure of staying at The Clermont Victoria in London for about a week in one of their Superior Rooms, and our experience was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm and cheerful welcome from Aleks at the front desk, which set the tone for our stay. Our Superior Room on the 3rd floor was not only comfortable but also offered a partly view of the adjacent Victoria Station's roof and the breathtaking skyline of London. The room was cleaned daily, and the complementary drinks and snacks were replenished daily as well, adding a thoughtful touch to our stay. One of the standout features of this hotel is its excellent location. The Clermont Victoria is within walking distance of some of London's most iconic tourist attractions, including Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, and the London Eye. And if you ever needed a break from walking or wanted to explore a bit further, the proximity of the hotel to Victoria Station made it incredibly convenient to hop on a bus or train. The hotel has a separate entrance from the station. Despite being situated in a bustling part of London, The Clermont Victoria felt like an oasis of calm. The lobby exudes a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff members were consistently friendly and helpful. What's more, every time we walked through the beautiful lobby, we were pleasantly surprised by the subtle and non-intrusive house perfume, which added a touch of elegance to the ambiance. Each morning, we were treated to a delightful breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options to choose from. What made our breakfast experience truly special was the kind, welcoming, and helpful staff, with special mentions for Isabel and Mohammed. Their genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. In summary, The Clermont Victoria in London is a gem of a hotel.

There were no significant disappointments during our stay at The Clermont Victoria.

Beautiful place great location staff very attentive

Breakfast was expensive and adding a service charge for something that is self service is a little unfair

Room was good, lovely very large bed, bath as well as shower. Mini bar included in price - yes even a small selection of alcoholic drinks. Very quiet in the room - old building with solid walls so couldn't hear the TV or other noises from the next room. Great location if you travel by train from Kent or Sussex to Victoria, as you don't need to take a taxi or lug cases on the tube. You can't hear any noise from the station when in the hotel.

There were no drawers for clothes just hanging space in the wardrobe. Wireless phone charger didn't work. Both fried and scrambled eggs at breakfast were cold.

Where to begin with our magical three nights at the Clermont London?! Upon arrival we were hopeful for an early check in as we were carrying three bags each as we transitioned from our trip to the west coast of England to a weekend in Paris. Aleks was delightful at check-in engaging my teenage daughter who was in London for the first time. We had reserved a Superior King and were able to check in early to a room on the first floor. We cannot say enough about the space! With high ceilings and plenty of room to spread out, we were so comfortable! My daughter was particularly impressed by the heated floor and towel rack in the bathroom. As for our location, we walked to Trafalgar Square via Buckingham palace and the Mall in a matter of 30 minutes and the 'back door' entry from Victoria Station made our travel around London via the underground a piece of cake. On that first afternoon of sightseeing, we returned to find a handwritten note and some sweet treats welcoming us to London. Clermont London, you thought of everything! We can't wait to come back!

Proximity to Victoria station

Lack of quick snacks. No ice , our coffee machine was broken, hot water set at medium could not have a real hot shower, room way to small for the price, only one chair in room to sit .

The hotel lobby was impressive. Literally did a double take upon seeing the columns and ceilings. Made me feel like i was transported back in time. The bar downstairs was also stunning. All in all, the interior designs were amazing. The outside of the building was also a sight to behold. The room was also very nice. Michelle at reception was so wonderful and gracious and extremely helpful. Sherwin the doorman was also very kind and even helped us carry our luggages to our Uber. Both of them were standout and I hope they will have long and flourishing careers with the Clermont.

It's hard to drag luggage through carpets, I would remove the carpets altogether. The windows also need a good cleaning.

It's a really nice historical hotel, in the center of London. Room was very spacious, with large enough bedroom, bathroom and main room, and also super high ceiling which was very unusual. There is a Nespresso machine in the room, and a fridge with complementary drinks and snacks. All of this made it a comfortable place to stay for a week. One minor issue is that it's located on a historical street with limited traffic, so an Uber cannot stop in front of the entrance, but only on the other side of the road. Which was a bit confusing as it didn't look feasible to cross the busy road with all the luggage we had, but the staff helped us to bring the luggage across the street.

We stayed in this hotel for seven days, traveled around western part of Europe in last few weeks this would have to be the best hotel that we stayed. The location was perfect walking distance to Buckingham Palace, (10min walk), Westminster Abbey and Big Ben (25min walk). Victoria rail station can be accessed by hotels side door (which puts you inside the station. Breakfast served by friendliest staff Isabella, Becky, Muhammad who are always smiling, happy to chat with you and always willing to help. Rene and Mark were always happy and helpful. The hardest part was leaving this place, it was like leaving the family. You all wonderful guys and thanks again for your kind and hospitable.. We're definitely coming back again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

There was nothing not to like

The room was very comfortable and spacious. We had a family room with a king bed and a twin cot. There was plenty of room for the three of us. If you have a larger family/older children though it probably wouldn't work as well. Housekeeping was attentive and the room was kept very clean. Overall all the staff we interacted with were lovely. The location connected to Victoria Station was super convenient for hopping on the tube or grabbing a taxi. Upon arrival, we took the Heathrow Express to Paddington and grabbed a cab to the Clermont from there. Would certainly recommend the hotel to others.

The breakfast was not included in the room price and it seemed expensive, but that may just be London prices.

Loved everything about this hotel! couldn't fault a thing. From the moment of check in it was perfect. I've stayed in many hotels and this is by far one of the best and i will definitely being staying there again. The beds were very comfy, the shower was amazing and the little touches like the sweets in room, complimentary mini bar and free drink at the bar made it super special. It didn’t feel like you were in the middle of a busy city! it was very peaceful inside, after an active day it's just what you need.

only one thing i didn't like ...that i couldn't stay longer :(
