The design of the breakfast room was funky. The food was amazing. The service was exceptional at all times. A lovely relaxing athmosphere to start your day with. The room was cosy. I especially liked the attention to detail (e.g. a jar of freshly baked cookies in the room). Derek and Mark made us feel very welcome on arrival and throughout our stay. Welcome extra was the Netflix account to watch movies on. It was also very easy to connect to wifi with the password displayed handily in the room.

The double bed had only one bedside table on one side which meant one of the guests missed out on a bedside table. There could have been additional lighting above the tea and coffee bar as it was quite dark in the room. Would have preferred a bar of soap instead of a bottle of shower gel.

We were due to check in around 9 pm for a wedding the next day. Unfortunately our flight was delayed by five hours which meant a 2 am arrival. I would have kept Derek in the loop about this, but it was far from ideal for our hosts considering that they would have to be awake again in the morning to cook breakfast. We were also after a two hour taxi from Stansted so were exhausted landing. Derek was so kind letting us in, and bringing us to our room, and allowing us hit the hay and not having to worry about breakfast until the morning. The place is itself is very well situated. It is absolutely spotless, I mean spotless, and the room and bed were lovely and comfortable. We had a very good sleep and had excellent bathroom facilities in the morning. We had breakfast early enough. Breakfast was very good, a very high standard, and we got to meet Derek again who is a lovely kind and sound man. Derek kindly advised us on getting a taxi home, and gave us a taxi number. We arrived in fairly late after the wedding and ate breakfast again in the morning and this time it was both Mark and Derek serving a very high standard of breakfast in their lovely home. The price we paid was very, very reasonable. It was off-season, but still it was very reasonable for the standard of accommodation and breakfast. Derek was kind again on check-out, and allowed us keep our bags in the B&B until our taxi came. The B&B was a very pleasant surprise. We tend to stay in hotels rather than B&Bs in Ireland, but this was a very high standard of B&B that we could recommend to anyone.

Honestly, nothing.

Firstly we were pleased to be able to park off road. The welcome was friendly and courteous. The room was large with a seating area in the bay window and a separate dressing table and chair, thoughtfully equipped. The room was warm although it was cold weather. It was beautifully decorated and furnished and all very clean. The breakfast menu seemed varied and appealing, and proved to be delicious and generous. The location was good, near to the beach and the centre, walking distance to a very nice pub and a bus stop outside for those who need it.

The bed and the breakfast were outstanding. Mark and Derek were fabulous hosts, always ready with some advice and help and so very friendly. The house is so tastefully decorated, a truly beautiful example of Victorian Lowestoft, so much so that I would buy it if I had a chance. The beds and pillows were so comfy, something really important to us, and the breakfast I can honestly say was the best I'd ever had in a hotel or B&B.

I don't think I could make anything better about our stay, we will certainly be staying there again as we visit Lowestoft 2 or 3 times a year.

The Corner House is an excellent place to stay in Lowestoft. The beach is a stone's throw away and the town is within easy walking distance, strolling along the promenade. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and there is plenty of wardrobe space. The WiFi is excellent. Mark and Derek are to be congratulated on the way that they look after their guests. The breakfast menu is superb, as are the breakfasts themselves. The two miniature schnauzers - Lottie and Archie - are very friendly, and delightful characters with oodles of personality.

This is no reflection whatsoever on Mark and Derek, as it would be beyond their control, but the night before we left, we were awoken at 1.30 am by other guests coming in late after a night out and it took ages for us to get back to sleep. They were in a room on the floor above us and they clearly weren't respectful of the fact that the vast majority (if not all) the other guests would be sleeping. It's the last thing you need before a long drive home the next morning. Other than that, everything else was pretty much perfect.

Breakfast excellent . The hotel was just minutes from an excellent sandy beach. No amusements, shops etc on beach at this end but plenty of sand and plenty of seating to look out over the sea. Just 10 minute walk to Claermont pier and about 15-20 to South pier and town centre

Everything perfect. Staff could not do enough for you. We asked if they had any bus timetables, which they didn't. The following morning we were presented with a folder containing all the local bus timetables they had downloaded from the Internet for us Must have taken them ages

Most of the reviews remark on how clean the corner house is. But it really is. It's spotless. The rooms are lovely. Room 3 was a good size and technically has a sea view. Beautifully decorated with a choice of pillows and a comfy bed. Breakfast was really nice and filling. Dining Room was pleasant with TV. Netflix is free but we didn't use it. The guys that run the corner house are great, chatty and informed about the local area.

Only one thing I didn't like was that there was very limited parking on site. Only room for 4 cars and we never managed to get a space. Having said that there was space on the road to the side of the property. Within a minutes walk or less.

Can't say a bad word about this place! The location is perfect - 3 minutes from the beach, the cleanest hotel we've stayed in so far, the kindest and most helpful hosts we've ever met, the breakfasts were just amazing, the interior design was beautiful, the bed comfortable and the bathroom clean and beautiful. We will be visiting Corner House again in the future!

I liked everything. Excellent treatment from when we arrived too when we were leaving by the hosts . A beautiful high end spec B&B. Would absolutely recommend too friends and family. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. About 100 yards to the beach. Parking was a bonus too. 5 star accomodation all the way. Thank you Corner House for your hospitality. We will definately be staying here again when visiting Lowestoft.

Extremely warm welcome, delightful clean spacious room with fabulous decor, handmade biscuits and great coffee/tea section with selection of teas and plenty of milk, amazing breakfast (I had the French toast option), good off-road parking, pleasant hosts

Dog barking in the middle of the night which woke me up but I soon fell back asleep
