Fredrick's Hotel Restaurant Spa

Breakfast very good. Stayed before in its top state near 30 years ago, German owners. Looks like gone well downhill according to feedback. However, was fine. Understand new Management team last couple of months. Hopefully will improve things. Receptionist great.

Some minor touch ups needed in 108. Sticking some wallpaper, clean minor mould from bath edge.( All places miss this) Shame the dinner menu has changed to pub grub. A mistake believe as it will never have a pub ambience. Better to change to something to offer the well off Maidenhead clientèle. Say a speciality Fish or Steak place.

The hotel public ares are very beautifull. We celebrated our anniversary and received prosecco vouchers and a card,it was a very nice touch and we really appreciated.We tried the dinner and the food was also nice. The spa is very convenient.In generally we had a lovely time!i can assure people this hotel is much better then the rate it got from peoples! I can highly recommend for peoples for rest.

The rooms have got a bit a sensation of dirty,however i think is because some furniture/carper/sink is old and stian.Some body lotion could be nice , because after the spa the skin got soo dry.Some member of the staff who was not so helpfup.

Knowing this hotel from years past, despite reading bad reviews on the website, I decided to stay here. I wasn’t disappointed. Room was spacious with seating area, excellent bathroom and much appreciated tea making facilities. Dining menu included light bites. Buffet breakfast choice was good. Waiter was pleasant and welcoming, attentive at all times. All staff in the hotel were polite, helpful and friendly. Pleasant garden to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening sun.

The room was a little noisy - room 15, at times, as it faced the road, but only at peak traffic times. Other hiccup I found - and forgot to mention, was that the bedside light on one side wasn’t working.

pool and spa area were really nice. owner has clearly gone for quality fittings, which made it feel luxurious.

there was nothing that I particularly didn’t like, but I felt it was a shame that having gone to all the trouble to fit the hotel out with luxury in mind, that silly things like broken light switches and shower controls let it down. as a business traveller I would also recommend opening the pool and spa earlier in the morning - this would really appeal to me and other business travellers on a tight schedule. I wasn’t the only person stating that day that said the same thing. something to consider. If little things are put right this hotel would be a real gem.

Dan the Breakfast Superviser ! He was so happy, friendly and helpful. He did everything he could to make our breakfast experience great ! The outdoor swimming pool was amazing, the room was a good size and clean, restaurant food was very good, varied menu and a reasonable price. Plenty of parking.

We enjoyed our stay and would only comment that the following things would benefit from changing to be worthy of 4 stars in our opinion. No usable mirror above the dressing table could only see in it if standing up, no stool at the dressing table, no long mirror. Room wasn't cleaned on our 2 night stay. Cheap percolated coffee at breakfast horrible Sausages and tasteless bacon. Tv was not a smart TV. Receptionist could have been friendlier he didn't appear very happy at any time. Weto say good hello 1st when we walked passed, as a receptionist you should be smiley and welcoming he never smiled. Cigarette ends all over floor in smoking area.

when booked my room I only had a small double room.,I asked if it would be possible for a window. I received a very polite response and was told my room would be upgraded free of charge. How lovely I thought. when i arrived I was early and was given early check in but not only this I was given the Berkshire suite. This was just so kind and I was thrilled with the 1920s/30s style of the room. The bed was so comfortable and the bath astounding. However apart from this all of the staff were so lovely, welcoming and accommodating. This is what makes this hotel alongside its art deco feel.

yes there are a few bits that need updating, decor etc. the heating wasn’t working properly but at no point was I cold because the staff did everything to keep me warm. other than the fact it needs a bit of money spent on it it’s a lovely welcoming warm feeling hotel. I am coming back on March

We stayed in the Berkshire suite and it was a fabulous room, with plenty of space. A large sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful with resolving issues.

The heating wasn’t working in the bedroom and as it’s winter it was really cold at night in there. The kettle didn’t work and there were a few areas of the suite that weren’t quite clean, a dead fly on the bathroom floor, large cobwebs in the bathroom skylight.

The room was lovely, (President suit) clean and very spacious. Bed very comfy and the room was warm. Complimentary tea,coffee and biscuits plus lovey spa shower gel, soap and moisturizer in bathroom.

There was only a set Christmas menu for room service..not a light lunch or dinner and order was placed at 6 but was told wouldn't arrive till 8. Very expensive as well. I was there for a Christmas party which was a disaster... no complimentary drink which was in price of meal ticket waited 1 1/2 hours for the starter to arrive..the same for main meal and the pudding didn't arrive until we started dancing as we had a D jay booked..so missed out on that ... finally arrived at 9;50 .... Staff were nice just a shame they felt embarrassed about the chef.. clearly couldn't cope with the cooking.

the suite had a big comfortable room with a stylish bathroom. really nicely decorated with an amazing view. the pastries we had for breakfast were delicious. overall a great night sleep.

electrical issues. the small heater on the bedroom shorted and we had to turn it off ( we could smell the burn ). the living room heater was broken so we couldn’t turn it on. the big bedroom heater was broken so we couldn’t turn it off.

The room was spacious and clean. Didn't want to leave. The spa was relaxing and staff were attentive.

When checking in the lady had us try 4 cards for payment as they were all declining. We continued to say it was the system rather than the cards but she told us she had just used the card machine so it couldnt of been. She then called a lovely gentlemen who said we'll sort it out in the morning as it was 1am and we was carrying lots of luggage as we had just got married. We came back down in the morning, used the original payment card and it worked straight away. She made us feel uncomfortable on arrival.
