The food, both the meal in the evening and the breakfast in particular, which was one of best I have had. Good quality ingredients perfectly cooked.

Unfortunately the pub had what I believe was their first ever quiz night which completely ruined what could have been an enjoyable evening. Although we were promised a seat in a quieter part of the pub, this never materialised.

The Crew from Sailing Spook Yacht Charters, Lymington, found this was a really good spot to be based to walk the Thames Path. The Staff were Super Friendly and efficient and Dinner was very good. The inclusive Breakfast had a fantastic selection and was really excellent. We will definitely return next season. Absolutely Great value for money.

A few very minor updates would help, but we were assured they would be immediately dealt with when we mentioned on leaving, the bathroom heater was not working. Nothing at all major just little tweeks.

Loved this hotel. The breakfast (included in the price) was amazing. Excellent choice. Nothing was to much trouble. The staff on duty so friendly. We ate in the pub on the evening and the food and prices where exceptional. To see the chef cooking the food was a delight.

You have to be careful in the bathroom not to open the shower door onto the sink. The only problem we encountered was the fact that the bridge into the village from Bornend is closed and its a very long way round to get to the Hotel. Our Sat Nav and road signs didnt seem to help either! Fortunately we came across a local at the bridge who told us how to get round (20 min detour).

Pub with rooms in an annexe to the rear. Rooms are modern with comfortable double bed, toilet/shower room also decent size. Clean and tidy, a little cold on check-in but it was the coldest day of the year and the elcetric heater warmed the room up quickly. Broken tile on bathroom floor raised to staff so I hope it's been addressed now. Pub serves good food and well kept cask ale. Included breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked and plenty of toast and tea. Ideal overnight stopover whilst attnedning an event nearby.

The staff at The Crown Inn were amazing. Very friendly. They accommodated us early and their service throughout our stay was excellent. The chefs wee also brilliant. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast at the The Crown and every meal was a delight. We gave a tip and personally thanked the waiters and chefs. They also told us where they sourced their meat products and we made sure that we visited the butcher next day and purchased stuff for home. Definitely coming back

It was a beautiful room in a beautiful location. Slept like a log which is rare for me when stopping away. Highly recommended

I was told that breakfast was at 7am so even though I said I may not make it as needed to leave I did try to snatch a bite before I left at 7.15am and the kitchen was in darkness. Whether that was because they took me at my word when I said iI may have gone I don't know but there was also another gentleman waiting as he heard exactly the same thing. 7am!!

Accommodation clean and tastefully furnished. So conveniently situated in stable block, all ground floor rooms in quiet area to rear of main pub and restaurant. Staff charming and food great. Best ' full english' ever!!

Needed shelf in bathroom for wash bag etc. Possibly hooks to hang wet coats near entrance door of room.

Great place, lovely atmosphere in the bar and the rooms are away from the hustle and bustle. The breakfast staff were perfect and the breakfast itself was best I have had in 30 years+. Superb! Big, perfectly cooked, flavoursome, just brilliant. Well done chef! 👍

Very little, all good.

Clean, comfortable, well-furnished rooms. Car parking onsite, and the location was ideal for accessing local conferencing venues. Food at the venue (breakfast) was excellent.

Lovely comfortable bed. Very clean, spacious and facilities excellent. Staff were lovely and attentive. Food superb . We had dinner and breakfast. Overall excellent value for money. One small comment. A rubber bath mat might be useful as bath was a bit slippery
