This made arriving and departing hassle-free, and it was reassuring to know that my vehicle was secure on the property. Clean and Spacious Room: ★★★★★ (5/5) The room I stayed in was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the freshly made bed to the spotless bathroom. The spacious layout provided a sense of openness and comfort, making it easy to relax after a long day. I also appreciated the thoughtful amenities that added to the overall experience.

In short everything. The host are a cool young couple who are Uber friendly and chill. The facilities there are beautiful and functional, the pool and sitting area plus gardens are stylish and the garden is picturesque. Has a similar vibe of the crazy bear without the ostentatiousness. The room was perfect with a walk-in shower that had strobe lighting as a feature as well as a bath. The four poster bed was incredibly comfortable as well as looking vintage. A full length mirror and plenty of space even a desk if you wanted to write. Mini bar with cookies and beer/wine. Everything you could want and more. The continental breakfast was delicious as was the coffee. Can't wait to come back and I intend to have my birthday party there. A fully stocked bar is also available with the option moet if your looking to splash out.

Very quirky boutique hotel with plenty of facilities and superb grounds. The staff were very accommodating and looked after us very well. The gardens were really pretty and and well laid out with the swimming pool being a bonus. Continental breakfast included which was very adequate. Rooms were very comfortable with well equipped bathroom. A short walk from two other village pubs and about half an hour walk to the rest of the village.

The hotel was under-staffed, especially on the Bank Holiday Monday morning but we were still looked after. It would have been nice if the bar/pub was open later on the Sunday evening as it was closed when we returned at just past 8pm.

It served breakfast at a more convenient time. To appeal to business travellers an 8.30 start and food served individually to the table is just too late. The grab and go breakfast we offered at checkin wasn’t anything of the sort with a plated continental offering delivered 1 by 1 to waiting tables. The food looked reasonable from what I could see as we left with a pastry wrapped in a napkin (no bags to cater for anyone having to actually grab and go). Other than this the hotel is in a lovely area on the edge of Cookham with plenty of nice looking pubs nearby (and onsite), the rooms are very clean and comfortable (with fridge) and the staff are friendly. Oh and there is an outside pool in summer months. This would be our go to for our weekly overnight stay if they were to bring breakfast forward by half an hr.

The decor is fantastic and the bathroom facilities top notch. The staff in the evening at check in and in the morning at check out were attentive, would definitely go back. Really comfortable bed, which is the most important part of course! As mentioned below, even though some confusion, on all requests the staff were very helpful where the could be!

There was some confusion on breakfast, we were told it was a continental breakfast at 8am but in the morning found it was a cooked breakfast at 8am. This was disappointing as we had organised around the 8am start so needed to leave before breakfast however the staff were attentive.

Very quiet location . Couldn't fail to relax . Beautifully kept gardens & surrounding pool area . The crash pad room had a large super comfy bed . In & around the bar area , plenty of seating . The staff were always very Happy to help .

Attention to detail regarding housekeeping in room . e.g. cobwebs on ceiling . Used towels left on edge of bed when we returned after a days sightseeing . Complimentary tea, coffee topped up but milk had been forgotten . Minor details but rather make the staff aware .

The location was brilliant for our purposes (Henley Regatta) and access to other places eg Marlow, Cookham, Cliveden. The staff were brilliant. Super friendly, efficient and welcoming.

The only aspect that we thought open to question was the level of decor in places, the need for a deep clean internally and some areas of the exterior needed some tidying up.

Located in a quiet little location with great views and walks around it. The rooms are decorated really well, by far the nicest room I’ve started in above a pub. Room was clean and had everything we needed, the en suite was also very nice and had an big overhead shower. Not that we used the outside pool but you can tell in the summer this would be a great facility to have access to. The pub downstairs was also very homey. From its low beam ceilings to its unique painting decor it has a warm feel to it. We didn’t eat here but the Japanese food menu they had available did look really good. They also had a live band on the night we stayed which suited us down to the ground so all in all a great stay for us.

They run out of Peroni on tap about 11pm on the Friday night lol but joking aside there wasn’t anything we didn’t like

Lovely comfortable room in a secluded and peaceful location. The receptionist/waitress was outstanding. Really went out of her way to help us with a lost luggage issue which was very much appreciated! Breakfast was lovely and the quirky old building very atmospheric.

A little bit further out of Marlow than expected (with hills inbetween). But if it's peace and quiet you're after then this won't be an issue)

Lovely room with fabulous bed and bedding in particular the pillows. Using the outdoor swimming pool and lovely cushioned loungers with towels. Quiet area either beautiful grounds. Parking and free WI-FI. Soft large towels in the room

The view from the room wasn’t particularly good. The continental breakfast was disappointing as we were told there was nothing available for the lady to prepare. Only banana, yogurt and croissant, choc au pain. It was OK but didn’t match the quality we were expecting as this was an extra cost.
