Grosvenor Hotel Rugby

I loved the fact there is a lived-in feel about this hotel. No corporate perfection and stuffiness. I just felt relaxed in the comfortable, clean room, that had everything I needed. Clean shower, basin and toilet, comfortable bed with clean linen, tea, coffee, kettle, hair dryer, tv and a window that opened for fresh air. The room was very well heated. Amy, who runs the place, works really hard, to keep her guests happy. There is no food available or bar, (at the moment), but Amy will direct you to eateries, shops and pubs a few minutes walk away. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Rugby Station and well priced, which is why I initially chose it. Would definitely stay there again! I'd like to wish Amy best wishes for her future plans for the Grosvenor.

Nothing I didn't like

This is the second time I’ve stayed here. The first was to visit my Father a month before, the second for his funeral. The staff remembered meeting him, and were very kind, personable and helpful. The room I had the second time was a double supreme/superior and was perfect for what I needed during a very fragile time, a real sanctuary, with a bath, suite to work at, lots of space and light and very comfortable. The location was brilliant, very close to both town and station and value for money was excellent, I could have not ask for more.

A vending machine on site with bottles of drinking water would be useful.

Old fashioned 3 stars hotel, not fancy stuff but cosy and comfortable. There is no elevator, but if you need the staff is very nice and will help you. The room are right size not to big or small and so the toilet. The room is so nicely warm and the temperature is very stable. There is cabinet, desk, plenty of power plug, kettle, chairs, iron, air blower and specially a nice indipendent old fashion heather. This is something matter, I'm traveling for work and is my 4th hotel in the last 2 weeks. Due the energy bill, many big hotel are switching off the heating system and i freeze myself in some expensive fancy hotel! Better Grosvenor, maybe is old but here you can sleep very good!

Would be great to have some easy food option, but no problem since we can order food delivery

Proprietors extremely friendly and helpful - cat very welcoming, too. Central location ideal - so near to main road yet not on it - easy to find, with ample off-street car parking. Only short walk to town centre. Individual character pleasant change from uniformity of chains. Flexibility over checking-in time and being able to leave car there all day so very helpful. Clean, comfortable, no-nonsense - excellent. Great value.

Nearly lost cap off toothpaste down plughole due to lack of plug contraption...

I greeted by Lewis, very warm and friendly welcome. My room fulfilled my expectations, excellent value for money. I had to pay extra for parking but I was aware of that beforehand. I then had the pleasure of meeting Mohammad, who was another friendly chap. Town Centre is within 10 minutes walk with plenty of food takeaways available. Location, staff and overall me and my wife had a great stay in the Grosvenor hotel.

Their wasn't a breakfast option but this was due to ongoing work in the property.

Staff super friendly and helpful they couldn't do enough to make sure we had a lovely stay! Great location Brilliant value for money.. Sure it's not 10star hotel, but it's 10star for it's price! Warm, clean and hot water! Bargain stay... What's needed in the industry as many hotels charging far too much!

You get what you pay for, it's well loved!! / in need of a bit of love Parking costs. (rather pay a little more in hotel cost then pay additionally to park my car)

Close to the centre and good road access. Cleaning is on request basis as they take security seriously which was good as I was clearing a relatives property. Amy was amazing and really makes you stay friendly. She is working hard at bringing the hotel up in standards.

The windows need to be double glazed as the noise levels can be annoying. I understand it a period property.

Good central location to rugby town centre.. heating warm and toasty 24 hour reception..beds comfortable...

Hotel is generally tired carpet lifting in the room im in... Massive carpark to the rear but isn't included in the room costs. Hot water is hit and miss when you want a shower/bath in the morning... TV signal poor too... With a bit of investment / tidy up would make a good hotel once again.

There was plenty of Parking on arrival, the Reception area was nice , clean and modern, i was also able to check in early which was a bonus, the Staff member showed me around and explained everything i needed to know, the room was spacious and comfortable and i had a great nights sleep.

The Room could possibly benefit with being Decorated but not really an issue for myself, would advise on providing more shower Gel as the 1 small sachet would not be enough, i always bring my own so again not an issue for me

The location was perfect. Just off the M1 and a few steps from Rugby town centre. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was a very good VFM hotel. If you're looking for luxury or loads of extras try elsewhere. The WiFi and shower were as good as anywhere. The bed clean and crisp sheets. Perfect. Next time I have to stay in the area, I'll try here first.

I was surprised by the parking charge. Maybe i missed it in the small print.
