An amazing stay at a beautiful country house in a tiny village, but very close to the M1, which broke up our journey nicely! We had a big comfortable bedroom which was lovely and toasty warm (it was below zero outside!). Fantastic power shower in our private bathroom, and an amazing full English breakfast cooked by Vivi, which was the best we've ever had! Friendly, warm, and comfortable, and fantastic value for money – strongly recommended. This will be our regular stop over now for long journeys.

Nothing I didn't like

Stayed here for one night with my two young daughters. Great communication right from the start - Wonderful welcome from the hosts, nothing too much trouble. Very friendly and informative. Comfortable spacious room, lovely beds. Nice bathroom. Little extras in the room very much appreciated. Communal kitchen comfortable and well stocked. Really lovely feel about the place.

We really enjoyed our stay and the host was very friendly and helpful. Great communication for how to get there, where to park etc. The room was beautifully presented, clean and comfortable. The mints and mini bottles of wine were a nice touch. We had dinner at the pub next door (friendly locals, great food but very large portions!). The cooked English breakfast at The Hollies was great. We would happily stay there again and would recommend for anyone needing an overnight stay so they can participate in the Wolf Run at Stanford Hall as it is just down the road.

It was quite a tight squeeze to get past the parked cars into the available spaces on the far side. Would probably go for an ensuite room next time (although the communal showers were very nice).

I must say this is probably the house with the most character of ever stayed in a B&B it was a fantastic room with lots of character and little features plenty of nibbles and cups of tea in your room the shower room was absolutely fantastic and the freshly cooked breakfast was absolutely bloody lovely could not do enough for youVery helpful and friendly really fantastic place and really quiet and I had a really good night sleep in the very comfortable bed and the room was really warm all in all fantastic

Lots of character all over the house the breakfast was lovely and cooked perfection and as always this was a very quiet location and I had a really good nights sleep and a very comfortable bed

Another great stay in the Hollies! The shower in our bedroom is amazing – worth the visit on its own! Tim and Vivi cooked the most amazing English breakfast – eight ingredients and beautifully presented. This time, we had time to explore the lovely patio and garden in the morning. The bedroom was spotlessly clean, warm & comfy, and the little touches were appreciated – shower gel, a complimentary drink, chocolates, etc. We will definitely return to the Hollies next time we come to the UK.

The Hollies is a truly welcoming house. The room was spacious,clean beyond clean and the bed linen smelt divine. The little extras ie biscuits, mini bottles of wine, chocolate and toiletries were a nice touch. Parking was easy and the house is in a lovely quiet location.

The cctv camera's everywhere!. Felt a bit intrusive

The character of the property and the spacious room plus the amazing shower. The extras, ie two individual bottles of wine along with bottles of water and tea, coffee etc and toiletries were thoughtful. Tim was an excellent host offering the freedom to use the large kitchen at any time.

Cannot think of any criticism.

The room was spacious, comfortable and clean and the bathroom with rolltop bath and separate shower was very nice too. We enjoyed the treats left in the room and it was nice to be able to get fresh milk from the kitchen for our coffee. The parking/ self check in / keysafe was convenient. It was a convenient location for Kilworth House Theatre.

We were a little disappointed that the cooked breakfast wasn’t available as the host was away, but he had let us know before we arrived. The self service continental breakfast was more than sufficient and we loved the kitchen.

A very spacious room with excellent shower facilities and much appreciated large towels, a very comfortable bed and ample storage space. Parking was straightforward. The owner went out of his way to contact me beforehand because he could not be there to greet us on arrival and needed to explain the alternative arrangements, which were fine.

Would have welcomed some explanatory notes regarding the TV because I struggled to get the TV channels.

A lovely find. Breakfast was on the table precisely when we ordered it- tailored exactly to what we'd each requested (and we were a large group). Everything was delicious. The village was lovely to walk round, and beautiful gardens with a hammock to chill in. Wonderful showers and comfy beds. Great complimentary room package. Highly recommended.
