Very clean and well decorated hotel. No odd smells and lovely room with great facilities - even a small fridge which is handy when you’re not keen on UHT milk cartons. Very close to all local amenities and a nice gentle slope back from the beach. Great breakfast and nothing too much trouble!
Parking - although we managed to park well on the first day, and the second, the third night and fourth were a little different. Free after 7pm parking very near was helpful, but this could do with some revaluation. Not all of the occupants parked in consideration of others at the hotel. Maybe marked out spaces would help? But I wouldn’t let this stop me coming back.

The breakfast menu was impressive and the dining area was pleasant, light and airy. The bedroom was well equipped and comfortable; the bathroom was superb. Overall, the Gower Hotel did more meet our expectations.
There was nothing that we didn't like. The only observation we made was that a slightly wider choice of cereals might have been appreciated, but we did not feel that this interfered in any way in our enjoyment. Car parking space is clearly at a premium in Saundersfoot and we ended up using the nearby public car park. However, the charges were far from outrageous and we would do that again without any problem.

I liked the location; It was steps away from the seafront and shops, bars and restaurants. It has a great sitting out area at the front, a real sun- trap. The bar inside was very nice too, as was the dining room. There was a lift to our floor, although we only used it once. Our room was at the front with a glimpse of the sea between the buildings. It was clean and comfortable with plenty of sachets of milk tea and coffee.(a rare thing nowadays). The shower was large and clean. There was a fan in the corner of the room for those warm nights, and a hair dryer. We were given a form to fill in telling the cook whether we wanted brown or white toast, and whether we wanted hash browns or fried bread with our cooked breakfast. The alternative was a bagel and salmon( I think). There was good coffee, a choice of juice and Weetabix or Coco Pops. No fruit, but not a problem for us.
The carpark is very small and we were unable to reserve a space. We deliberately got there an hour and a half earlier than our check in time and was able to get into one of the last three spaces.. It would have cost about £15 to park nearby otherwise. A member of staff should try smiling sometime. Even when I smiled at her I was given a blank stare. She's probably a) not a morning person, or b) counting the days to retirement.

Overall really enjoyed our stay at the Gower Hotel. First ever stay in Saundersfoot and we both loved it. Good location really close to everything. Lovely hotel and nice breakfast in the morning. Big bathroom including a corner bath. Wi-Fi was fine. Worth the money. Would stay again :)
Bed pillows were too soft for me and my partner and the room was boiling all night. The room did have a fan but wouldn’t have been able to sleep with the noise. Quite thin walls as was kept up till really late due to snoring in the next room. Quite a small room aswell (balcony room) but wouldn’t put us off coming again.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful Really lovely staff and owner Karen very nice. Location Excellent, especially if you have mobility issues. Bar was excellent, apart from prosecco cost. The room was comfortable and had all you needed. Thank you. Would definitely recommend it. Happy hour was fab.carpark was handy to have and good access to hotel from carpark.
There is nothing to dislike. really, just a note to point out that I was unable to have a shower in room 23 due to door opening onto the toilet and not wider enough to get in .would have better been done as wet room.had a bottle of prosecco ,it was tesco finest, hotel charged £19,in tesco it costs £7.50,maybe something to think about with price.

Excellent welcome, quiet room as requested. Very friendly owner and staff. Good bar area and superb dining room with a conservatory. Also plenty of outside seating. Great car parking at the rear of the hotel. Couldn’t fault the breakfast, more than ample and cooked and presented expertly. We had a superb meal in the restaurant. Perfect, accessible situation in the centre of Saundersfoot and close to all facilities, including the bus stop.
There was very little that we were unhappy with and we really enjoyed our 4 day stay. Maybe a slightly better mattress?

Location of hotel very central with car park tucked securely away behind. Breakfast was very good and cooked to order, despite no ordering sheet in our room on arrival. Could see sea glistening in the sun. Lovely big windows for great view & lots of fresh sea air! Gorgeous big bathroom with lovely big windows and a fab corner bath. Comfy bed and very clean.
Would all be excellent except no reception staff when we arrived and waited some time before going into the bar and alerting the barman who had to ring for details of how to access the system to book us in. We did receive apologies at breakfast for this the next day but would have helped if there was a bell to ring on reception as it said “Please ring the bell for assistance”! We stayed Sun night & the bar closed at 2100 & the restaurant was closed Sun & Mon nights. It may be helpful if this info was included somewhere although there were lots of choices to eat out nearby. If the cost had been a little cheaper we would have probably stayed 2 nights

Breakfast was wonderful, Had an evening meal on our last night as it wasn't open on the Sunday and Monday which wasn't an issue for us the meal was outstanding but did make the mistake of having the soup for starter which was delicious so struggled to eat my main but would recommend you try, Plenty of choice
Couldn't fault anything, room was comfy asked for a sea view and we got it when we booked which was 3 months previously. furnishings need a little updating but do not class it as relevant just personal choice

This was the second time we stayed at The Gower hotel. our stay was such a positive one the first time that we decided to visit again. The hotel was great, the staff were very kind and accommodating and their breakfast was beautiful. Our room was lovely & clean and it had a great on suite bathroom, facilities for tea and coffee and a lovely view from our room window. The location of the hotel is ideal and really central to access all that Saundersfoot has to offer. I will definitely stay there again and would recommend the hotel to anyone who is looking for great value accommodation in Saundersfoot.
There was no real complaints about our room, just small little things that could easily be fixed and did not in any way affect or stay. Our mattress was a little well used and could do with updating but it didn’t in any was spoil our stay.
