Best Western Lamphey Court Hotel and Spa

Location was good. Most staff friendly and helpful. Food good.

Tired decor on exterior of building. For such an imposing building much more should be done to the entrance. Bar not staffed in the afternoon - have to hunt high and low for service. Some cleaning staff rude and could not manage a "good morning". Some days bed made and biscuits, toilet rolls etc topped up but others not. A lot of staff waste a lot of time gossiping at Reception which does not create a good impression.

Food was always excellent. The spa is very good.

We brought our small dog, so we were only allowed to stay in an annexe room, but the room was fine. However, there are two problems. We couldn't bring our dog into the main building under any circumstances, not even to sit in the bar for a drink, or the lounge just inside the front door. As we we stayed for a week we had to leave our dog alone more than we wanted. Also, we were charged £10 per day for our dog. The justification was additional cleaning costs. This is not justifiable and is too much. This hotel is in a rural setting close to the Pembrokeshire coast path, and many visitors have dogs. The management need to review their policy for dog owners. Not every visitor to this hotel comes for the spa.

Spa in a separate building, with good pool, jacuzzi and changing rooms. Breakfast hot dishes were on an order basis, cold food was on a buffet basis. Breakfast OK Free parking, lovely country side, but limited facilities within walking distance

Disliked the concept that one breakfast dish (smoked salmon with scrambled egg) required a £3 supplement payment. Having paid for B&B > £100/n, I do not expect to pay extra for breakfast items on the menu ( the cost of the salmon dish has to be equivalent to a full English breakfast cost). Bed was domed (not sure how-maybe a topper) so in the night we had a tendency to roll off, with danger of falling on floor. No elevator to upper floor, due to age and construction of building Room a little small.

The whole building..and staff and location. .a quality hotel. Our stay was very enjoyable. ...the whole place was so eligent..the only down side was no lift... but walking up the stairs to our west wing was a treat ..... I'd like the thank all the staff for making our stay pleasurable. The bar man in the small bar did a fantastic job .. many thanks to everyone ... I was sorry that water in the pool was little cool but the jacuzzi and sauna was great ...

The first night no control for the TV...but the next day we had 1 ... to be honest I did not find anything to complain about...

Beautiful hotel, setting lovely, staff friendly and swimming pool excellent! Staff really tried to be helpful at all times. Lovely local walks. Would stay again.

We stayed in a lodge which was dog friendly. It was great that it had laminate flooring, but could have done with an inside doormat (wet paws) and some hooks by the door would have been really useful as there was no where to hang wet coats etc. Also NO fridge.... dog owners are likely to bring dog food, and anyway I would have liked somewhere to put my tonic! Our bed was really really hard, staff tried hard to rectify this by putting a duvet under the bottom sheet but it was still really hard.

Comfortable and spacious ensuite studio room. Relaxed friendly atmosphere and staff. Good facilities including pool, steam room and sauna which we used. Very peaceful surroundings located next to historic ruins of Lamphey Bishop's Palace. Excellent location for exploring Pembrokeshire, close to Pembroke and Tenby, Good value for money for the facilities and service offered.

Very noisy fan in bathroom. Jacuzzi/spa pool was closed. Information about local area and walks/footpaths would be helpful. Quality of continental breakfast was a little disappointing some mornings but better on others.

The room was nice and spacious , breakfast was really great and the staff were amazingly lovely ( nothing to much trouble for them). Warm greeting when entering the breakfast room . Food had plenty of choices . The Spa was lovely , a great place to relax and unwind after a busy day site seeing.

The evening meals was very disappointing , we ate in the restaurant twice on our stay and both times the food was not of great standard. The Gammon was really tough and impossible to cut through , the chips served with it was cook in three different stages ( it was almost as if we had single, double & triple cooked chips all together. Unfortunately the second try with the Belly pork was even worse ,I was unable to to cut through at all . I did explain but i just got an apology and still had to pay We booked your hotel because of the spa and both wanted a massage but unfortunately it was not available.

We had a very relaxing break at this beautiful hotel, the staff were lovely, the food was 'too much' but plentiful! The room was large and the beds were so comfy that you felt that you never wanted to get up again. We only looked at the spa but didn't use it, but it certainly looked very nice and there were a lot of people that did use it.

This is not a complaint, more of an observation. The food was lovely, but enormous portion sizes. If they offered a smaller version then that would be fabulous. On the second day, I did ask for a smaller portion and that was fine, it's not the cost, just that I hate to see good food thrown away and this day and age, we should all be a bit more food conscious.

Location was really good. Staff without exception were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was good and husband enjoyed his full English. Nothing was too much. It was nice to have an early morning swim. Bathroom clean and nice white bedding and comfortable twin beds.

The first room allocated (room number 1) was very nice. Lovely and clean and lovely decor and furniture. However the steep stairs were unsuitable as my husband has health problems. We were allocated another room number 24 in the disabled rooms. I was quite disappointed as the carpet was stained and the two small easy chairs stained and had crumbs on one. I felt it was below the standard of room number one. I made the receptionist aware of this but she said they were all the same price. In the second night guests in the room above arrived at midnight. They themselves were not noisy but the footsteps and floorboards were very noisy. I would not want to stay in this room again.

Hi we loved the hotel stayed here 3 times now but I would say you could make lots more money by having more of a selcection each evening in the restraunt or the bar may be we fount the meals were very much the smae chice each night You really have a captive audiance and you should try and keep the customer in the evening to stay at the hotel spend money in the bar and eating We had food all 3 nights but by the thrird night we really found the choice so much the same Change the meniw each night

The swimming pool is great and we will be back again as long as there will be more food choices The rooms are great the gardens are fantastic and really relaxing loved it Wifi was the best we have ever had at any hotle so far thanks this means alot when i have to work 24 hours a day or while im awake
