Heywood Spa Hotel

Friendly helpful staff. It's a nice place not that far from town if you're fit. I wouldn't recommend if you have walking issues as there's a nice hill to climb from town. Definitely worth a try though.

The room was ok but it could have been nicer. We had the attic room and I could hear the humming from the pool equipment. I've stayed in the hotel a few times now and I still haven't had a working phone to call reception.

Love this hotel! The facilities are lovely and relaxing and the restaurant is excellent quality. Staff are always really friendly and helpful.

Room next door up talking until early hours of the morning and left their bathroom fan going which hummed through the walls.

We have just spent 6 nights at Heywood Spa Hotel, which was our second visit after our initial trip to Tenby in March 2022. The hotel is in a great location, about a mile (20 min walk) from the town so ample parking and far enough away from the crowds. There is a lovely indoor pool with indoor and outdoor hot tubs. Spa treatments are also offered. Breakfast is very good with good variety of continental and hot options plus juices and tea/coffee. We had an executive room, these are spacious with a lovely patio or balcony area. The staff are all lovely, special mention to Mandy on reception who was extremely friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile and interest in our day and providing excellent advice on walks, excursions etc. Ask her about the lovely Bosherston Ponds/coastal path walk!

The mattresses are well used and the double bed consists of two singles locked together and covered with a topper, which ordinarily would be fine but due to the dips in the single mattresses, there is a ridge in the centre of the bed and dips on either side. There is also not enough storage; one small wardrobe and a couple of shelves, fine for a night or 2 but not enough for longer stays. Massage advertised as 45 mins but was only 35. Outdoor hot tub needs more regular cleaning; residue in the water.

Nice looking spa with conservatory. Beautifully decorated hotel. Staff are very friendly. Evening meal in the restaurant was fantastic as was breakfast. Restaurant has lovely decor. Would definitely return.

Spa- Indoor jacuzzi was not working properly. Sauna was not very warm. One of the other guests complained and the sauna was turned on/ up. The outdoor jacuzzi was then switched on ( had been off due to rainy weather) . However, as we had already been in the spa for an hour or so by the time these things were amended we didn't have long left to use the facilities.

Location is great, only a short walk into Tenby. Quiet area so no noise during the night. Spa facilities great, only two other couples were using the spa during our slot so no overcrowding. Hotel is kept lovely, room was a really high standard. Staff were all friendly and we didn’t have to ask for anything. Robes and water waiting for us in the room. Good toiletries provided. Lovely gentleman taking care of us in the restaurant in the evening.

Breakfast was quite average, only one poached egg on the cooked breakfast, however evening meal in the night was well above average. It would’ve been a better experience if the restaurant staff weren’t constantly clearing/laying out other tables and waited to do this. Everything else about the stay was brilliant and I would definitely go back again.

We didn’t want to leave!! The town was beautiful and we enjoyed exploring Tenby. We also enjoyed using the leisure facilities such as jacuzzi and the spa. We ate some of the most amazing food I have ever eaten at the hotel’s restaurant. We’d love to go back!! We enjoyed ourselves so so much and had such an amazing and romantic time away

Quite expensive Not the busiest town off-season

Carmen at the very start of this surprise stay and high tea for my wifes 70th birthday - was so helpful and condsiderate - she rang me late in the evening to tell me she had sorted things out and then confirmed in an email all the times we agreed; when we met her she was so kind in putting us at ease - reminding me again of my timings - a kind person - the high tea prepared by Anish and the breakfast lady had a ready smile and welcome - as did the lady who signed us out when we left - thankyou

It a maintenance aesthetic problem in the pool - which comes of being in the building trade with a balustrading and joinery company the jacuzzi has a stainless balustrade bolted to the floor - the bolts are rusty - a 2 piece cover cap would hide them - the rails themselves perhaps could be repolished - - the wood cill at the wellness window shows bare timber - a plastic cover strip to all the cills would be an inexspensive temporary solution - I stubbed my toe numerous times on the 2 raised discs on the side of the pool - a couple of metal bollards / big ashtray style 500 h could double up as a place to put goggles and small items and would save a lot of pain -not a complaint -observation only

The staff throughout the hotel are extremely welcoming and friendly. The food is outstanding and great value for money - there is a very good selection of drinks down at the bar with cocktails, wines and liquers to choose from - these are served to an amazing standard and really efficiently. The hotel in general is super relaxing and a provides a feeling of comfort all day long. The hotel is in a quiet location but minutes from the town centre where there are bars, restaurants and shops. Would certainly recommend a weekend stay here!

Nothing bad to report.

The Spa facilities were great as it gave us time to relax and unwind whatever the weather. The breakfast was scrumptious and the offerings varied to suit all tastes. We dined in the restaurant one night where the food was equally good, with a beautiful ambiance. We also enjoyed drinks as well as early evening snack in the bar where the barman & chef went out of their way. With the various areas and options of facilities to use at the hotel it makes for a wonderful stay. Heywood Spa Hotel is definitely a place of many happy returns for us as it is a serene, romantic beautiful retreat away from the hustle 'n bustle and comes highly recommended!

We really enjoyed the service and customer service from Manager Anish and Front of House (Mandy and Alena) - they were so helpful during our stay and made us feel special and our kids loved speaking to them also. One of the friendliest hotel staff i've come across and they were other staff members who were so nice and helpful. - Food at the bar & grill was very high exceptional food - taste and presentation fabulous - michelin star quality food with reasonable prices. We also tried the Afternoon Cream Tea which was so delightful,. its amazing that this is available. Free complimentary bottled filtered water provided daily during our stay Swimming pool not overcrowded due to staggered time booking. Jacuzzi that actually works - felt so great to unwind. Free parking for guests. Roo m service during the day was great. AC in rooms actually working and perfect for the heatwave.

Too be honest everything was fine, however if it helps to improve, 1. The wifi strength could be better - quite weak when in the garden/patio area. 2. Room service - speed dials for room service would be good. 3. Add some desserts without alcohol in them, also introduce mocktails like virgin mojito - however in fairness the restaurant did make up this drink for us and it was excellent!!!
