From the moment we were welcomed at this beautiful hotel we knew our stay was going to be fantastic. Vicky and her team looked after us impeccably and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the wonderful Beca Suite which was amazing; four poster bed and roll top bath. Food was outstanding, both the evening meal in the relaxed Artisan room and breakfast the following day. The Grove and the staff were amazing and we can't wait to return.

A beautiful and stylish country house hotel. Excellent food and generally impeccable service, particularly the restaurant and bar team.

It is difficult to criticise when the overall experience was so good but we have two comments to note. First, a hotel of this quality should have a recognised Porter/ front of house staff to welcome guests and take/collect luggage to the rooms if requested. Reception team is tucked away and we had to search them out and one of our party struggled to carry their luggage to the room. The television was quite old and lost signal on a number of occasions.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Grove and it has been on my bucket list for a while. We pushed the boat out and had the 8 course tasting menu and wine flight which was delicious. The food was immaculately presented and tasty. Our sommelier had a wonderful and captivating way of describing all the wines and she was lovely! The rooms were very comfortable and with understated elegance. The complementary fridge bar in the bedroom was well stocked. Lovely toiletries. Staff are nice and there is a calm atmosphere. Breakfast was mostly really nice

The croissants served at breakfast were unfortunately overcooked (very dark brown/burnt) and were cold.

Thanks to booking.com we were lucky enough to be upgrade to a superior room. This gave us an outside patio space (sunny weather on first day was superb and second till midday). We had a glass walled conservatory surrounded by shrubs making it private. The bedroom had a king sized bed, bathroom had a fabulous roll top bath And a separate rain head shower and opposite a separate loo. All spotless with fabulous toiletries. We had a fridge with a free well stocked minibar, wine, shorts and mixers, along with lemonade, coke, fruit juices and fruit cake. A delicious two course breakfast with plenty of toast, tea and coffee. Fresh bathrobes, slippers, fluffy white huge Bath towels and hand towels and face clothes. Vanity box with makeup pads and ear buds. Complimentary tea or coffee on arrival in the garden.

Our main grudge is the artisan restaurant menu. The same menu was offered for both nights of stay. This included the soup, which was delicious but at £9, about 6 table spoonfulls ? Expensive and not a great choice, for anyone who likes plain foods, ie steak or fish. Only one vegan choice. Many vegetable ingredients are used from the hotels garden. Our super king mattress was horrible in need of change! Big lump in middle and flatted on edges, so you rolled toward the edge of bed when turning in your sleep. Bar prices and bottles of wine extortionate! Fever tree bottle of tonic £4. Bottle of beer £7. 125mls glass of wine £9 .

Overall an exceptional hotel and all interactions with the staff were first class and welcoming. The food at this hotel is exceptional. Evening dinner is a testament to the skill of the chef, his brigade and the front of house staff. We will be returning and have urged Michelin to undertake a long over-due visit. Anyone who is thinking or teetering on the edge of booking, do so now. You will not regret it. We have stayed at most similar hotels across the world, this hotel stands out as amongst the best.

There is nothing that I can comment on beyond the superlatives. We raised with the hotel that they should consider providing a makeup mirror in the Cottages or improve the lighting. This was noted by the hotel and I suspect that they have already actioned this minor observation.

Incredibly beautiful hotel, quality linen towels etc...no expenses spared on creating a luxurious stay. Staff are very friendly and the attention they pay to detail is impressive. From check-in to check- out the experience is perfect. Wonderful choice at breakfast. The in- room complimentary mini bar and abundance of toiletries in the room is a bonus.

The room was a bit on the warm side for us. Couldn't seem to bring the temperature down at night despite it being quite a cool evening. The bed was exceptionally comfortable though and the temperature didn't disturb our nights sleep.

Every detail was taken care of at Grove of Narberth. Firstly, the service was absolutely outstanding - welcoming, discreet, precise and warm. The team remembered our names, preferences and offered really useful information like local eateries and mountain biking locations. Secondly, the food was an aboslute sensation. Really top quality breakfast and evening meals, with a very wide selection of wines ranging across little-seen varieties and vintages. Thirdly, the property and the decor were utterly stunning. The design, both in and out, were extremely considered. Colour choice, soft furnishings, art.......everything comes together to create a delightlfully intimate, relaxed and sophisticated interior and bedrooms which both nods to the Welsh countryside location but also contemporary luxury. I cannot heap enough praise on this hotel - best place I have ever stayed in.

This place is absolutely incredible, we had the most perfect weekend here for our 'babymoon', before having our first baby in April. The staff were wonderful, thoughtful and pulled out all the stops for us to make our trip so perfect. The food was out of this world, from the tasting menu in the Fernery, breakfast, afternoon tea and Sunday Lunch in Artisan Rooms you really don't need to leave the hotel at all. We stayed in the Bramble room which was absolutely amazing; huge bath, comfy bed, lovely little conservatory area, a wood fire and plenty of storage space to make yourself feel at home. Thank you so much to everyone at the Grove, we'll never forget our trip here and hope to be back one day.

Exceptional place to stay. The staff are so attentive and welcomed us with a glass of mulled cider. We stayed in the Blue room which was tastefully decorated with a gorgeous free-standing bath. We had a complimentary mini bar which was a nice touch. We dined in the Artisan room the food was superb and so was breakfast. This is a quality hotel that immaculately run. We will be back

A very small thing. I asked for a 175ml glass of wine which is a standard medium measure. I was told I could only have 125ml so I had to order a double. For such a classy hotel I didn't think that would have been a problem I was a bit taken aback. It's the only thing I can fault everything else was spot on.

Stunning property and amazing customer service… we really felt like we were getting 5 star treatment. The decor was beautiful and thoughtful, I loved all the local textiles and the calm, earthy colour scheme. Our room was lovely, with a gorgeous view and an incredibly comfy bed (and the best duvet I’ve ever slept under!) and a luxurious bathroom. There was even a complementary mini bar! The grounds were beautiful and they had a huge kitchen garden which supplies the AMAZING on-site restaurant The Fernery. The food at dinner (and breakfast) was outstanding… we were also served tea and biscuits as soon as we arrived and were given water and Welsh cakes for our journey home. It felt like we were staying at someone’s (very nice) house rather than a hotel… the communal spaces were warm and cozy and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. I wish we could have stayed longer!
