Hogarths

Very large, comfortable room. Free and plentiful parking. The decor has been finished to an extremely high standard and done so tastefully. The bed was comfortable and the tea and coffee and other amenities in the room were fantastic. This is one of the better hotels I've stayed at recently, and the restaurant was very good too (we only tried dinner, no breakfast). The TV was a bit slow but did have all the usual apps, and it was refreshing to have a table and chairs you could actually sit at to read/write instead of purely decorative. Lovely huge door onto a Juliette balcony and really nice grounds for a walk after dinner.

The bath could be converted to a shower for an easier time showering - it's tricky climbing into a tub, and the water also wasn't draining away so I was stood in about a foot of dirty water by the end of my shower. Breakfast is not served until 8am on a weekend which for most travellers will be fine, but we were exhibiting at an event at the NEC which meant breakfast would've been too late. Also, weirdly the aircon didn't seem very powerful - we had it on the lowest temperature and the highest fan and it was still hot enough to justify the door and the window being wide open.

Staff were brilliant when faced with a number of booking errors ( not ours) and when the hot water system failed. Alway friendly and upmost helpful

We booked twin room with dog. The dog was not noted on the booking. Moved us to another room - but this was a double and not twin. They managed it brilliantly by reconfiguring the zoom. The hot water system failed - hell has no match with a wife without hot water for the shower. The did find another room with hot water which we could use ( they cleaned it everytime someone used it. So hats off to the staff for fixing it once again.

We loved the comfort of our room we were given. As we booked with two dogs we thought the room we would be given would be more basic so we were delighted when we arrived to a nice welcome & a warm room whilst the snow was falling outside! I can't comment on the breakfast or dinner as we left early for the NEC. But our dogs appreciated the biscuits you kindly left for them & the huge grounds were wonderful for exercising our dogs. Would defintely come back & recommend to friends.

I wouldn't say didn't like but it would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room. Everything else was fabulous. Thank you.

I like the bedrooms were comfortable and gardens were beautiful Had a 30th birthday party for my daughter Mischa We had our own private room The tables were set out beautifully for our meal Food was fantastic The service was excellent The manager was very helpful and the event’s staff too who helped organise the party And the catering staff and staff at reception were very attentive and friendly and nothing was too much trouble I would definitely be recommending this hotel to my family

Everything… we was there for my brothers wedding which was amazing.. I was an assistant housekeeping manager so was obv going to check the room 🙈 i didn’t find anything, our bed was perfect, pillows, duvet, bedding everything we needed.. The staff that I did meet were great especially a lady that was on reception I didn’t get her name, she helped me and my sister out and we were very great full..

It is a great hotel & lovely setting with a big garden with tables to the rear which can be seen from the bar/ restaurant area. All the staff were very welcoming/ friendly and made me feel at ease as I was travelling on my own . The food was lovely / excellent quality. My room was lovely to stay in . Great comfortable bed/ crisp sheets. Great power shower. Would definitely recommend & look forward to staying there again. Thank you

Breakfast, lunch and dinner choices I chose to eat were all very tasty and well presented. Staff in all areas were very friendly and accommodating. Sarah in particular on reception went above and beyond.

Sadly there was a lot of wasps outside in the garden area and despite moving from table to table which meant sitting outside wasn't pleasant. I couldn't get my tv to work in my room during my stay.

Large comfortable room, armchairs, good overhead shower, tea/coffee amply supplied. Staff moved my room away from wedding guests area very thoughtfully. Large car park. Pleasant grounds. Lovely terrace. Excellent restaurant with a good menu, reasonably priced wines. Staff all friendly and helpful. 2nd time staying here.

Struggling - no decent bitter on tap or in bottles. Only Fever Tree tonic (which many people do not like).

I really liked how clean and well maintained it was over all. The staff were lovely and the bed was comfortable.

The only thing I didn't like was that there were a couple of little things in our room that could have been better. There was a bit of peeling over the shower and the ring around the knob to turn the shower on was loose and kept coming off. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. The sausages weren't the standard I was expecting and we had to keep asking for butter which made us feel like we weren't really allowed to have more.

Breakfast was very good. It was lovely to get out in the countryside and enjoy the pretty gardens and fresh air after spending day in city centre, despite the congested drive out to it. We had an excellent dinner in the evening with very good service.

We were very lucky it wasn’t bad weather as our room (Summer) was separate from the main hotel. The outbuilding we were in with other rooms/or something within there, was noisy with stairs being run up and doors closing.
