Station Approach

Teresa is a great host. Nice, friendly and helpful. My room is clean, spacious and cozy. Breakfast room can be used at any time in a day, very convenient. Milk, orange juice, tea and coffee are provided. Toasts, fruits and snacks are free, too. We enjoyed the breakfast so much. The location is good, very close to Solihull Station and walkable distance to the town center where eats and buys are available. Special thank for Teresa's help to solve our problem when we checked out. She's really kind and nice. Very pleased to meet Teresa at her wonderful B&B. Certainly will come to stay again.

Hot water and cold water are from two individual taps. Will be perfect if it can be replaced by a modern tap.

A warm welcome from friendly & helpful owners. Single room very small indeed, though very clean and comfortable & all facilities as promised. Good for me, as a solo guest for 1 night. I was very pleasantly surprised to discover that, having booked a room with 'no meal option', there was a very nice, well-equipped and well-stocked self-service kitchen/dining area for a decent breakfast at no extra cost. I'd strongly advise the owners of this property to stress their close and easy proximity to Birmingham Airport by public transport. The X12 bus is just 2 mins walk away, and takes about 20 mins. If you are a pensioner, this fare is free and staying in Solihull could save you hundreds of pounds on taxis and bloated Airport hotel prices.

A kettle in the room would have been nice.

Station approach is immaculately clean, warm and very homely. The beds were very comfortable. The host Theresa was very welcoming and attentive, and was keen to give us information and advice on where to eat, etc. The location is excellent for walking in to Solihull centre, accessing the NEC by car, and Birmingham centre by train. We were able to help ourselves to tea and coffee at any time of the day or evening, and breakfast (cereals, toast, yoghurts, juice) was perfectly fine for our needs.

The room was a bit smaller for the 3 of us than we had expected, but adequate for our needs. The ensuite room was appreciated, but very small!

- The beds were single beds but these weren’t an issue that much as we pushed the 2 single beds together to make a double. - It was our first time here and we didn’t know that there was other people staying here but this didn’t bother us as the other guests were very helping and welcoming to us all

Central to town, good value for money, staff pleasing and helpful. Help your self continental breakfast. No hassle stay, small bedroom but comfortable. Would stay again. Booking in good time.

No major issues. This hotel may suit a non car driver only due to the hotel situation. Depending on approach, the traffic is very fast and there is almost an immediate left turn from traffic lights, so caution is needed.

I loved the family vibe from the accommodation and its owner Teresa and her lovely friend Maureen, they were so welcoming with great information to make my stay great. I had no 7 room, at the front, on a busy road which did not bother me at all, no major traffic from the road. Self catering kitchen was FAB, making tea whenever wanted to. Will recommend and I will look forward to staying again. Thankyou ladies Lucy Newman

Really pleasant stay. Thankfully the room was north-facing, away from the road, which was a relief in the hot weather. It was well equipped with a desk for working at, tray in the shower to hold your shampoo, etc, good shower. You have use of a kitchen with tea & coffee + breakfast essentials. Staff v friendly & professional. Location is perfect - right next to station & 10mins from town centre & from the park

Toilet seat was broken, but wasn't a big deal - it still worked! There's a £7 parking fee

Lovely B&B in a perfect spot for the festival we were attending. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean with very friendly staff. Room was clean, warm and very comfortable, we had a great nights sleep! Lovely breakfast room in which you could help yourself to tea, toast etc. Highly recommend.

If I had to put something, I didn't like to foldy-up door to the en-suite.

This is obviously no reflection on the property but I found the Booking.com site misleading in terms of price. The price was shown as £61. On arrival, I was charged an additional amount for parking. No doubt there is somewhere in the Booking.com terms that gives a hint of this but in my opinion it should be very clear with a total price shown on the booking page. I normally book accommodation directly with properties but on this occasion I couldn't find the site. I have since found it as Solihullbandb and I would have saved money booking direct.

Great accommodation to stay. Staff friendly and helpful, great advantage a help yourself breakfast available anytime also microwave to bring back food to warm and sit in the lounge with large tv. Very handy for bus and train station just a couple minutes walk down a nice short cut path adjacent to the b/b.
