Tri-Star Hotel

Nigel is an absolute star, This is what staying at a family run hotel is all about, nothing was too much bother and he was happy to advise on local eateries. However the hotels own food choices were good enough for us. Full English Breakfast was quick to appear. Organised taxi to NEC every day for us. Very congenial host at the bar after a long day at Crufts, we put the world to right, lol. Highly Recommend the Tr-Star

Location was good for the NEC which is where we were visiting. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was an offer of an evening meal but we were out for the evening at the NEC. We were near to the airport but the soundproofing was good so not too much noise. Room was spacious enough for us and a good size lounge with a large screen TV was nice. There is a bus service nearby that takes you to the NEC but we didn't use as had paid for parking at the venue.

The bathroom door did not close properly. It kept on opening, maybe because the bathroom window was open but not sure. Breakfast was pleasant but a bit limited for vegetarians.

As I was busy with my job in the morning, I had no chance to enjoy the breakfast during the official breakfast time, however, the hotel offered me a wonderful breakfast approx. 2 hrs later - that was really exceptional! Also, after checking out, the hotel allowed me to stay around in the lobby room during the whole day (to do my business calls...), until I took the bus to the airport to hop on my plane back home at 6:30 PM. What an amazing service and support from this great hotel!! Looking forward to book TriStar Hotel again next time!!

Not a single detail that I did not like! Even the close proximity to the airport was superb, as the windows were really absorbing any aircraft noise...

Was able to book this hotel last minute as I had to extend my stay in Birmingham, was so impressed with the friendliness of the staff, Nigel in particular. He went above and beyond to provide a breakfast as I had to leave before breakfast actually started. The bed was so comfy and the room was amazingly quiet considering we were basically on top of the airport and a busy road. Would very happily stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Bathroom was a little small but that's just being picky!

Nigel and his family/team were so helpful, they couldn’t have done more for us. This is a wonderful family run facility and customer care is at the heart of everything they do. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable

Bus from the airport was a bit of a challenge. Drivers didn’t appear to know the hotel in spite of the fact that it’s close by. Same stop as Travelodge which might help others!

What I have to say! We stayed 7 days for the show, Nigel gives me the best support! Before I arrive, he helps to keep my samples, and we borrowed a socket for the show. And his wonderful mother give us good suggestion to visit Solihull. It is easy to take bus to the show or Birmingham. The room is quite, and breakfast is wonderful! I will come back definitely!

Nothing

From the minute we walked through the door we were made to feel very welcome. Anything we needed help with, buses etc the information was readily given. Rooms were clean and warm. Breakfast was plentiful. Nothing was any trouble. If we were to come back down to Birmingham we would definitely stay again. Thank you 😊

The only small complaint I would have is the shower doesn't have a lot of power but that would be me just being picky.

The location and value for money, but mostly the hospitality as well as ease to catch public transport to local bars and restaurants

Taxi from airport - cost £20, and took 20 mins due to traffic. Unfriendly taxi driver who tried to tell me I couldn’t pay ny card once we arrived as their ‘system was down” until magically it was fine when I said we had no cash. We should

The owners and staff were great, I was please I booked this hotel, before my holiday to Australia, the room overlooked the Airport and was very comfortable.

nothing, I asked if I could stay on my return on 27th October if there were problems with any Rail Strikes, the owner stated he was closed but if I had any problems and couldn't get home, I was to give them a ring and they would put me up for the night. How lovely this was for me.

Location next to the airport. Very very kind and helpful staff. No hassle, no stress hotel . Very good breakfast.Large parking lot for those driving. Would recommend

Heating in the rooms was not working bcs of timer . With the utility prices issue, i understand. We got electric radiator. Water pressure could be better. The price was a bit too high.
