Lovely sumptous room overlooking a Green on the first floor. Location is excellent. Reception staff very helpful

The breakfast, fairly basic and the waiting staff did not appear interested. Once the breakfast was delivered they seemed to think that their job was complete. I was never approached to see if everything was OK and would I like some more toast (yes, I would have liked another slice) or tea. They need a customer relations course.

We loved our stay - the staff are especially a great asset to the Hotel - everyone was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent - close to the sea and also for the shopping area. The rooms and hotel were spotless in it's cleanliness, the beds were very comfy and nice linen. It was great value for money.

If I'm being brutally honest - the hotel despite being very clean and looked after - needed some renovation in some of it's aspects. But it was great value for money so I don't want to be too picky.

Room,location,

No parking all bays full.you would have to use multi car park e d of road .there is loafing bay outside don't leave car there you will get a ticket. Still waiting on reply to parking people don't ans phone left Mon still no reply from Sunday. Breakfast, out of bread toaster not working yogurt was in a bowl no quasants or pastry managed to get them to find 2.. In our opinion 13.50 for cooked was over the top.the continental £9.00 was not worth it.no coffee ready or hot tea. They did discount to 9.00 for both.had to wait for waitresses.never cleared the table before we had left.breakfast left a lot to be desired ,rather go for a walk and find a cafe.prob cheaper and better. Someone parked on loading bay got ticket at 10pm.

Great value for the price, considering weekend, Summer and very near the seafront & Pier. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room comfortable

Room was very hot and stuffy, although it was the hottest weekend so far this year, but it could do with air conditioning, or a fan as you could not have the window open at night because of the traffic noise. The bar wasn't really operational, and only had bottled or canned drinks, but the concierge was very happy to get us us drinks when we arrived. The bar was not open when we returned to the hotel from our evening meal. However, the night manager was very happy to allow us to drink the wine that we had brought with us, in the lounge area, and provided glasses, so this was not really inconvenient to us, but others may be disappointed not to be able to have a drink in the bar if they didn't have their own supplies.

The place was clean, tidy. It's a little dated, and the building is old, so floors run up and downhill. We like that along with the beautiful outside covered with Boston Ivy. It was hot, and my feeling was that the hotel had just changed hands. The friendly staff mentioned the aircon wasn't working because it hadn't been cleaned in years. I like this hotel and will stay there again. You can buy parking for the square outside at reception rather than just use the machines. The parking is patrolled.. There's a great little park outside you can sit in if the beach is too warm. It's central in Worthing and the rate I got was good. Generally happy.

No aircon on a very hot night. The car parking ticketing is overly complicated. We found it best to buy a day ticket at reception for £8 rather than pay a max of £2 for 2 hours at the machines. The day ticket starts at 9am. Beds could be better. And need more levelling up because of the undulating floors. There was a small table that you really couldn't use because the tilt on it was so great. It made us laugh.

We arrived early and got to check in straight away which was brilliant as we had been travelling all night. Our room was clean and the beds were comfy. All the staff that we encountered during our stay were friendly and helpful.

I thought £13.50 for the cooked breakfast was a little over priced considering what you got for your money but the food was tasty and was piping hot. The only other criticisms were that the sealer round the bath needed to be replaced and that the edging around the floor was coming away so looked untidy. The shower was a nightmare to turn off. We had to use a towel to get a better grip to be able to twist the control round enough to switch it off.

Excellent hotel, very comfortable, have to compliment the staff in the dining room - they were pleasant, helpful, polite and an absolute credit to the establishment.

Our only problem was one that could not be rectified, coming from a very quiet area, we found the traffic to be very noisy, however, it did seem to quieten down after around 11pm so not a complaint, just an observation. I suppose only to be expected on a busy road and bus route. It would certainly not deter us from using the Chatsworth again.

This was the third time for me to stay this historical and classic hotel. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I stayed in the same room at my request, and I can see that the room always had small repairs. This time we visited Saltdean, a town with the whitecliffs. The bus leaves just in front of this hotel and 1h to Brighton. Then change the bus to the east and 1,5h to Peacehaven. We then walked back from Peacehaven to Saltdean by the whitecliffs. That was incredible trip.

The Chatsworth is old, classic hotel. If you expect a modern, cold, plastic-like room, this is not the one for you.

It is not the most modern hotel in Worthing by any means but it has character and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. A good price for a weekend break in August. Rooms are clean and everything worked in my room. Fantastic location and (apart from the raucous gulls) was quiet on both Saturday and Sunday nights. I did not have a car with me and parking can be an issue but Worthing is well served by public transport. I will certainly be returning to the Chatsworth and would recommend it if you want a reasonably priced break by the sea. What it lacks in up to date decor, it more than makes up for in it's seaside 'charm'. Rear facing rooms back onto bus depot but not particularly noisy. The noise is from the gulls - all part of the seaside experience! ;-)

Only criticism is the very small TV. I did not have breakfast at the hotel as it seemed rather expensive for what I usually have for breakfast but plenty of other (cheaper) places nearby and lots of them.

I loved everything about the hotel! The location was just amazing. Right by the town and all pubs. And also right next to the lovley Worthing beach and a very short walk from the pier! Will definitely be using this hotel each time I come down to visit my family around the locality. My room was lovley and the bed was so comfy.

Only two things I wasn't fussed on. The shower in my room wasn't the best and I couldn't angke it properly as the fitting was loose. But not a major issue. And the breakfast was a bit small for me. Apart from those two things it was epic.
