Location ideal. Breakfast was not available but there is a cafe opposite which opens at 8am. Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Spotless shower room.

Couldn't open window so it was rather warm. Guest entrance (after pub closed) very difficult to find in dark. For the benefit of future guests, you need to take the road to the left of the pub (Gordon Road). Go past houses on right, then small private car park. then there is the driveway to the pub car park. Go down this driveway to the car park. Go across the car park to far corner. Go through gate into pub garden. Go across pub garden. Straight ahead is door to the bar (when open). On you left is the guest entrance. You should have been given a separate key for this door.

Brilliant! Loved staying here and would happily return. Huge room (could sleep 5 with the extra sofa bed and trundle) but set up for me as a single occupant of the room (i.e. one set of towels and refreshments) which was a welcoming touch that's been overlooked by more luxury expensive establishments - thank you. No breakfast but plenty of places to eat nearby. Big bath and good shower. Very comfortable. I slept very well.

If you're looking for 5-star perfection, this isn't the place for you. But if you want relaxed and relaxing comfort definitely stay here.

Hotel was in very good location in Shoreham, with free private parking spaces, which is always a huge bonus for any hotel. Near local shops and walking distance to train station/public transport. Lovely, comfortable, clean big family room. Owner and staff very friendly and welcoming. (pet dogs very friendly too ;) ) Bar food was great, good choice on menu and value for money and pub has regular weekly entertainment on. Would definitely book and enjoy staying again in future

Minor issue with lack of communication or explanation on how to access rooms after pub closing time at time of arrival (access to hotel situated around back of pub and block of shops through beer garden to private locked side door) but luckily staff were available at time to help and show us were to go. However no other issues or concerns meet.

The staff were very helpful,in fact I had booked and paid for 3 rooms for the incorrect day (24 -25th Jul. ) they said there was a room available 23-24th July which I took which I now realise I Paid in excess of $600 if possible I would very grateful if I could get some of that payment paid back into my account. The error occurred because I didn’t get confirmation back when making the bookings the first two attempts as is normal. Kind regards Phil Jones

beautiful building, nicely decorated downstairs in a really convenient location with parking. Expect a little noise from the train level crossing but it doesn’t run through the night, just may wake you if you wanted a lie in, although we had a wonderful 10 hour sleep! Beds are very comfy and nice and clean. The best thing about our stay was the staff. So friendly and welcoming. I stayed with my 7 year old son and they upgraded our room to the ensuite which was so kind. Everyone we came across had a happy smile and it honestly made our stay so comfortable knowing we were welcome and they cared. Such a great service. We had dinner, which was generously proportioned and yummy, my son loved it. Breakfast was also delicious.

If I was being critical I would say it’s probably time to renovate the bedrooms but then you would also expect to pay more for your stay so the great value price reflects the rooms I would say.

Very convenient for the railway station; Shoreham is a nice area; level crossing warble stops at night and can be heard from 7am, which is a rather useful wake-up call. We didn't drink in the bar but I noticed that it has good beers.

Decor, especially the bathroom were a bit "dated". Shower water heater control was a bit dodgy but I guess that's been fixed by the time you read this.

Room was very big and had olde world charm even with chandeliers. Not fancy but quaint. Bath towels were very big and thick. Everything we needed just to stay overnight.

Shower was very difficult to maintain temperature. A little noisy with the music from the pub below and across the street but it didn't bother us.

Really friendly welcome and staff were very helpful. I was late to check in due to traffic but it wasn’t a problem. The room was big, comfortable, and it’s a lovely pub, very central to Shoreham. Next to the railway, but I didn’t really hear it. The level crossing beeped a bit during the day but stopped during the night.

The shower was okay - but wasn’t very powerful

Didn’t have breakfast but the location was very good the room was very clean and comfortable, the staff were brilliant and very helpful. The off street parking was good if a little difficult to find but once the helpful lady behind the bar explained it I found it straight away

Not that I needed or looked for but it was no obvious that there was shampoo or conditioner (I have no hair) but if my wife had joined me that would have been useful, hair dryer an perhaps ironing board and iron
