Holiday Inn Brighton Seafront, an IHG Hotel

Lovely clean hotel as expected from reviews, what made the stay perfect was the incredibly attentive reception staff - they made us feel so welcome, there was a small problem with the room and they dashed up to our room, fixed the problem instantly and were so warm and kindly without being intrusive. Made the stay really special. Great team!

Location was the best right in front of the beach and just next to little Preston street where you can find cafe’s restaurants and also a local sainsbury it connects to the road where there r even more HALAL options KAMBI’S was our favourite for Lebanese/Turkish kinda food We also tried ALMOOSH for mandi but it was ok… My top favourite was CHAIWALA right down the little Preston street for my early morning breakfast (it opens at 8am) and for our desi breakfast needs and karak chai (if you know you know). Cleanliness: the hotel room was small to what I expected but then all u have to do is sleep (full day we were out having fun) and beds r so comfy clean we went out (room was v messy)and came back to a clean room without even asking for it. The bathroom was v small to what I expected But it was v clean The body/Handwash soap was not at all a good scent (smelled like green leafy vegetables) Clean towels Everything else was good

The front desk and room service- so we ordered kids banana Pancakes served with ice cream and chic sauce( we ordered 2) it came with a single banana pancake drizzled with lil sauce and a few slices of banana and was completely different from that which was showing on the hotel food ordering app/website. Also, the ice cream was missing I called the reception and said there was no ice cream she said o yeah yeah il inform them that’s it I didn’t get a response nor my ice cream Also to pick up the tray we had to call twice and the tray guy came after almost 2 hours of calling late at night…(he then said that we should have just left it outside the room we didn’t knew that) We ordered a kids fruit bowl as well that was ok

great location for visiting Brighton. very clean, friendly staff. comfortable rooms. great value for money.

the windows were misted so couldn’t see the view of the sea particularly well.

The USP of this hotel is its location. Very close to the pier and i360. The walk by the promenade was mesmerizing. Hotel is quite close to many good restaurants and hangout places. Hotel staff was friendly, especially the lady at the reception.

The room was a bit small and felt congested. We were expecting free parking as it was selected in the search. There was a long queue to be seated for the breakfast. But a very kind guest moved tables to accommodate us. Breakfast options were strictly ok. I have had better breakfasts at some other Holiday Inns.

The hotel is nice in a great location and I found the staff very nice. In particular one lady who was wonderful with my son. Unfortunately I’ve forgotten her name but it began with G

Firstly this hotel is quite expensive. When you are paying around £170 for a night you would expect it to have good AC. One room we were in it didn’t work. When we were moved the AC was still very weak. The parking should be cheaper. Finally it needs a little cleaning up.. well the windows do. I noticed they were all so dirty.

It’s room window didn’t open and air on did not work. Fan in wardrobe but needed one more. Staff came quickly and with jug of ice. Had a dreadful night and had to move room the next day.

The rooms are dated. Are the wood trims need sanding and repainted as do all the rooms. The chair in room was stained as was the carpets. Everything needs upgrading. At £200 a night this is shameful We didn’t use the wardrobe as this was so filthy we left our clothes in the case. Windows did open in 303 but sills and windows were fithly. Sink area was stained.

Room was lovely,breakfast was excellent.

Balcony could’ve been cleaner(spruced up),parking very poor found last available space paid for three nights, returned after two nights to retrieve something from boot and found note on windscreen to move the car due to maintenance,stroppy workman said note’s been on car for two days why hadn’t the car been moved tried to explain gave up trying and found last space again,concerned what would’ve happened had I not returned to the car and what would’ve happened had I not found another parking space.Seeing as the car details for parking are given to reception on arrival I would’ve expected contact from reception to notify me of such works.

We were upgraded to a superior room following an issue with the shower and this exceeded our expectations. The choice and quality of the breakfast options was very impressive. Our upgraded room had a direct sea view and the hotel itself was centrally located. Having secure parking directly on site was ideal for us and a welcome surprise for a centrally located hotel.

Parts of the hotel look a little tired in places. On our first morning we had a serious problem with our shower only generating extremely hot water. The hotel staff were very understanding and firstly arranged for us to use a shower in another room nearby and then upgraded us to a superior larger room with a balcony and sea view. They also refunded the cost of our second night which was fully appreciated.

Staff were amazing The location was brilliant Rohan ( I think that was his name)... greeted us in a lovely way and was so nice... set us up for a good holiday... (as this was our 1st time here) Ellen in the breakfast bit was friggin amazing. Really bubbly and welcoming Everyone that we came into contact with was really genuine and lovely and had really good customer service skills My friend had to call for more pillows cos she was in pain late at night and the person who answered the phone was really sweet and caring. We had the most amazing time.. so much so we are coming back in August for my best mates birthday

The fact we didn't have tea or coffee in the room on day 1... they missed it

Comfortable bed , air conditioning worked. Evening meal was served promptly because we said we had to go out. Good hotel for a one night stay. Staff were kind and polite.

Breakfast area opened five minutes late , breakfast items were laid out in an illogical presentation eg large cooked breakfast plates in a different area to the cooked breakfast! Small side plates away from the toast. Cereal spoons away from the cereal and cereal toppings opposite side of room to the cereal. Ended up wandering around and had to ask . Cooked breakfast came out 15 minutes after opening. No jug of milk or sugar bowl on table. Bedroom furnishings a little tired, and no biscuits on tea tray. The lift was alarmingly shuddery.
