We stayed for two nights the hotel is in a good location easy to find. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet location. Pleasant staff and a good breakfast on the first day.

When I was laid out on the floor of the bath having slipped whilst having a shower I saw the sign warning that the bath is slippery when showering and a shower mat is available at reception. I can’t think why these mats are not in the bathrooms in the first place? Second morning there was no cooked breakfast due to “technical problems” which being a Sunday was a bit annoying.

We stayed overnight before attending a car show the next day. Arrived early as wanted to watch the coronation. We were able to watch it from the bar area. We had a full English breakfast on our arrival- very good breakfast. We spent several hours sitting in the bar and were looked after really well. Absolutely lovely staff- all really friendly. From the receptionists to the waiting staff- everyone we came into contact with was brilliant. Breakfast the next morning was good too. Continental breakfast was set out to help yourself, and then our waitress came to our table to take our orders from the breakfast menu. We very much enjoyed our stay- and will stay again when in the area.

Bed was very creaky- as were the floorboards in our room- however it is a 250 year old building..... An extra shelf in the bathroom to put your toiletries would be useful.

We stayed at the Manor Hotel as we were visiting Yeovil for a few days and really enjoyed our visit. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate in the hotel both days and would recommend the restaurant, for both the size of the servings and the quality of the food - we noticed that both nights the restaurant was popular with many locals as well as the hotel guests even though it was out of the usual holiday season (always a good sign). We also enjoyed the breakfast. The hotel is well placed for visiting the area, with good parking.

A number of Greene King venues offer vegetarian halloumi 'fish' and chips - The Manor used to offer this but doesn't now. Halloumi is offered in a different format as a starter. I asked if the chef would make halloumi 'fish' and chips. The bar/restaurant wasn't particularly busy and clearly the ingredients were on the premises, and I offered to pay the normal fish and chips price. Two members of the bar staff made this request to the chef who refused. I felt this was very inflexible and a failure in good customer service.

The staff were very polite, very friendly and it made it a lovely stay. The food was absolutely amazing, good portion size, good prices and thoroughly enjoyable, served by very friendly and happy staff. The location was great for us and also the free parking was an added bonus. Truly a dog friendly hotel as well.

Unfortunately slightly noisy from neighbouring rooms, mostly to do with the room we had, had a connecting door (locked obviously) to each of the rooms either side, so all voices/noises just came straight through.

The staff was exceptional. From the person who checked us in, to the ladies at breakfast, and the housekeeping staff, everyone was fantastic. Breakfast was plentiful and a great deal for the price. We asked for an extra fan and when we returned to the room it was there. The bed was comfortable and the free parking was an added bonus.

The hotel is a little tired and probably due for a renovation. The room was very hot, but we were experiencing unusually hot temperatures. Though breakfast was tasty, it was inconsistent, for example, a ham and cheese omelet ordered on two different days was a very different omelet.

The staff were so friendly giving lots of useful, local friendly advice. The dinner menu was above average. We expected standard pub food but they excelled themselves in this area. The superior double rooms were large enough to accommodate a cot or a small put up bed. The old Manor House was well placed to be able to leave the car and walk into Yeovil or the local country park and although the building was a little tired looking in places, the service and location means I would certainly stay there again.

We booked 4 double/twin rooms but our room was a twin room in the roof area of the building. One of the windows opened to an overview of tesco car park and Saturday night was obviously boy racer night. Not the hotel's fault but irritating when trying to sleep. However, the two superior double rooms were excellent.

Breakfast and dinner very good. Staff were excellent - friendly and helpful - and seemed to work very well as a team. An interesting old building in a superb town-centre position. Free car-parking!

Not a complaint, more a comment on reality. The lovely old building is showing it's age in one or two places - some black around window-panes etc. The bed was not the most comfortable - but an excellent size (if a bit high).

Location less than two minutes walk from the town centre and a good base to travel from for local attractions and further afield, the hotel has lots of character, good choice of breakfast either cooked or continental. Restaurant very good for evening meals, excellent food and service. Good bar for drinks or coffee and also a pleasant garden to sit in. Got to mention all staff were fantastic and friendly a true credit to Greene King, the hospitality industry and also Yeovil and Somerset. Nothing was too much trouble for our entire stay. No hesitation in recommending or returning.

Lovely hotel, if a bit dated. From other comments we knew the hotel was in need of some tlc. The Staff are lovely and friendly, happy to help with any query. Food was good, plenty of choice for breakfast, and menu for lunch and dinner. Great location to get to local historical sites and museums, few minutes walk into the town centre. Room was okay, bit dated and would really welcome some updating. Though it does add to the charm of the place, bed was comfy and all was clean. Shower hot and good.

There was only one let down and we will know next time to take pot luck - Thought the carvery (had to pre order to have Sunday evening) did not seem fresh and the sirloin of beef was full of fat and chewy.
