The Green Room

The restaurant was really pleasant to sit in and the meals were delicious. The staff were extremely friendly. We had a double room with en-suite which being the smallest size was cosy but clean and comfortable. The outdoor area was also pleasant to sit in and chill with a drink.

I would suggest some coat hooks in the space between the room door and the steps by the wardrobe (Room 6). The wooden board underneath the heated towel rail looked shabby as did some tiles in the shower. Also the bedroom window only stayed open on one setting which was too much for a cooler night. We used something to wedge it open slightly! These are minor things though that wouldn’t put us off staying again!

We'd dined with friends here on a previous visit so thought we'd stay this time. The building is very deceptive and has a lot more rooms than we imagined plus a very spacious car parking area which is hard to spot from the road unless you know it's there. Some areas could do with freshening up but the rooms are perfectly adequate and surprisingly spacious. No complaints. The dining room is cosy and welcoming and we enjoyed another fine dinner there with friends. Breakfast also offered a good range of fruit/breads etc and a cooked breakfast. The staff were uniformly welcoming, helpful and friendly. The location is in the very centre of the town immediately behind WH Smith in a quiet, pedestrian area. The town itself is undergoing extensive repair works and must be a nightmare for local shops so we'll look forward to when that might be finished.

Had a lovely two night stay here for a family wedding. Great location as in centre of the town. Stayed in a twin room which consisted of a double and single bed (so can sleep 3) and an ensuite bathroom. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room and bottles of cold water in the fridge. There was a hairdryer in the room, and an iron and ironing board were available to use and found in the corridor outside our room. Breakfast was absolutely fabulous, I recommend the full English.. it was very fresh, great flavour, tasty thick bacon 😁, fresh tea and coffee, juices, cereal, fruit and croissants. Staff were helpful, polite and efficient.

Pillows could have been better

Breakfasts were excellent with a good choice. Quietness - sound insulation between rooms appeared to be good as we heard no TVs etc from adjacent rooms. Good location in the town with easy access to the centre.

Room was somewhat gloomy, with a small window for the size of the room. Given that it is advertised as a restaurant with accommodation, the lunch / dinner menu was a little restricted. However, there were numerous restaurants of differing cuisines within easy walking distance so this was not a problem.

Very helpful & pleasant staff. Nice room of moderate size. No noticeable issues with noise, etc. Food looked excellent but unfortunately we didn't have time to eat in this trip as in town for 2 funerals in one day.

Signage lacking on how to get to specific rooms within the main building led to some confusion. Access to parking distinctly tight. Of course the current state of the town with both road closures and pedestrian routes blocked/diverted and the majority of the shops closed made the town less than ideal but this is not the fault of The Green Room.

The boutique hotel/restaurant is in the very centre of town. My stay was a delightful experience from check-in to check-out. Host Kye was welcoming, friendly and efficient and was diligent in ensuring the highest standards for everything in the Green Room. My room (#6) was spacious and comfortable and offered all that a traveller needs, including good wifi, desk, chair and powerpoints. (The shower was one of the best I have encountered!) Also up there in the high standards was the evening meal, great value and gourmet quality, matched equally by the cooked breakfast the next day. Altogether a memorable and pleasurable experience. Highly recommended

On site 4 star restaurant, food was excellent, especially desserts, and great value . Great shower.Good size rooms.tooms with twin beds , ( where single bed is not a sofa bed) are hard to find.travelling with my teenage son, sofa beds in previous chain hotels where have stayed have been uncomfortable. Fridge in room.

Breakfast included, but served later on a Sunday...8.30. Not advised of this beforehand ( or maybe i missed this information) Son had sporting event, so had to leave before 8.00. They did make sandwiches when requested though.

Dinner was excellent. Room was a fair size but but basic in some respects. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free internet worked but not the fastest. Location was ideal for the centre of town.

TV was quite hard to operate often taking several button presses to react. Extractor in shower room did not seem to operate. Little was provided in the way of information in the room on things like checkout times, opening times, local facilities for the restaurant, etc. - I would suggest that it would be worth the effort to put a ring binder together for each room. So much of Yeovil is now either closed or changed to barbers/hairdressers/nail bars/etc. this is sad. Plus extensive redevelopment work going on.

Good location for hiking and sightseeing base. Near to all country walks, seaside and beautiful landscapes within short drive. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Room had all we needed - fridge, kettle,teas and coffees. All in clean and quiet location. We had a good night sleep. There were one double and two single beds in the room- enough to comfortable accommodate family of 4. I can honestly recommend The Green Room Many Thanks

I can not say “I didn’t like it “

I had to call The Green room as I was finding it difficult to find the car park due to road works. I was given clear and precious directions. Reception staff were very attentive and showed us to the room. The room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was delicious freshly cooked every morning, lovely thick bacon and sausages that were one of the best I've ever had. Friendly staff throughout our stay.

Pillows a bit flat. We didn't bring it to the attention of the staff as it was such a minor thing.
