Hampton Inn Calera

Traveling with 2 grandchildren. Breakfast was very good with choices. However I was looking for bagels & did not see any, but I could have missed them. The waffle machine was very easy to use & also nice giving the option to make anywhere from 1 to 4 small Belgian waffles at a time. The waffles come out perfect & are delicious.The area for breakfast was very neat & clean. The entire hotel was clean & orderly. Bed’s were comfortable & linens didn’t have that well worn feeling. Just as info, if using the pool, you can get pool towels at the front desk. Another plus at this location is that they have entrance/exit doors not only at each end of hotel but also in the middle. This makes it convenient with parking that you do not have to walk a distance to get into the hotel. Definitely will stay at this hotel if I’m in this area again & you can’t go wrong!!

There was not anything I didn’t like..

As soon as I entered to check in, I was greeting by 2 ladies that were polite and helpful, we went to the room and it was clean and well kept, the mattresses were the best I’ve ever slept on in a hotel. We got our towels from front desk to go swim the outdoor pool and it was clean, and warm. the breakfast was delicious, the coffee was my favorite. then upon checking out, I stopped at the desk and the morning shift was also very polite.

not a single thing I did not like.

The staff was extremely pleasant! Great location! One staff member i saw at check-in and the next day at checkout. She said she hadnt been home yet but she still had the sweetest personality both coming and going. All staff was amazing. Made my stay even better.

I did not like the fact the shower did not have hot water late at night and the next morning. This place is so awesome it really needs to make their pool an indoor pool or place a heating tent over it in the cooler times. No major complaints!!

The lay out of the room. Not just like every other hotel !

I couldn't find extra bed coverings! My bf frozen me to death! And I couldn't find enough covers. Which was probably his plan the whole time!!! So we would have to keep each otherbl warm! Which I really did like... Did I answer that question??@! LOL

very clean mattress and pillows very comfortable.

Not enough pillows needed at least 6 only had 4. Breakfast was ok a lot of the smoked sausage was burn, egg cheeses omelet was lukewarm. No biscuits and gravy very disappointed. The fruit and yogurt was great.

Loved the breakfast and the gym. Great location for what we needed.

Room was a bit outdated and the bed was not very comfortable. The lights were too bright near the bed.

The small city of Calera has plenty of shopping and restaurant choices. We enjoyed being there and having to travel a short 20-25 minutes into what we had to do in Birmingham rather than stay in a big city. The front desk staff, cleaning crew, and breakfast workers were super friendly.

Great, hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, pancakes, pastry, juice , coffee, milk, yogurt.

The shower on/off feature should be replaced. Severely worn. Room # 220.

Standard hot breakfast, bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, yogurt and fruit. Not exceptional but not bad.

Room cleanliness. (stained carpeting in the room)

Price was a little high, also the shower head was not easy to get the bottom shower head on for a 5'6 person or even a shorter person. It was more for a 6ft to 7ft person.
