Comfort Inn and Suites Near Lake Guntersville

Thank you, Mrs. Terri, Esther, Cindy, Bailey & everyone in housekeeping, Gage, and Jay. You all made my work trip perfect! Everything about this stay was amazing. This hotel is a hidden gem. I took a staycation from the Huntsville/Decatur area to handle Zoom call interviews, etc. It was quiet, immaculately clean, comfy, well-air conditioned, beautiful (amazing outdoor area with flowers, a pergola, and hummingbird feeders)—and it’s an ideal place to do business, relax, have a wedding, etc. AND unlike many (even nice) hotels these days, there is zero smoke or marijuana smell, and that was so refreshing. Instead everything smelled so clean and cared for with love and the utmost professionalism. One of the most professional and friendly staffs—and a great breakfast and a bonus of not only coffee 24/7 but lemon-infused ice water and delicious SWEET TEA in their spacious lobby area! I will definitely be a repeat guest. God bless you all and thank you for everything!

Very pleased with this Comfort Inn. Location was great with clean rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast was probably the best continental breakfast of any hotel we have ever stayed at.

The drain in our bath was slow but eventually drained. The people in the next room were quite noisy for about an hour before r so but we didn’t bother to call and complain. The clerk at the desk when we checked out assured us that they would have taken care of it had we called.

Employees were really nice and helpful. Breakfast was good. Enjoyed the locale, overheard front desk clerk answering lots of questions about surrounding area happily. Hot water always when needed, facilities were nice for a two day stay. Pool area looked very clean and fun, although we didn't use it.

Rooms need to be looked at from a cosmetic stand-point...the wall scuffs, bathtub and some of the tile was chipping and badly stained. Found goldfish crackers on the lamp by the bed. Nothing was unbearable or distracting, just cosmetic. Room was reasonably clean for the average person. Nothing housekeeping could readily fix.

Good welcome, nice new feel to the place, good breakfast. Lots of free parking. Quiet location. Scotsboro itself is nice, has everything you'd need

The world's noisiest ice machine was next to our room, which was audible when working or being used. Personally a cover on the toilet seat is preferred to not having one. Location means you need to drive a couple of miles for food.

Location is good. Easy to get in and out of. Staff is super nice. No real true complaints.

My only complaints are :: thin walls (you can hear the neighbors tv so that means you would be able to hear them doing EVERYTHING, if you catch my drift) .. We had service animals & they barked a couple of times / you could hear it wayyy down the hall so I was very afraid someone would complain. Luckily they didn't. Also, the floor wasn't level. I was sick with strep & an inner ear infection so when I was walking, I thought it was just my vertigo. Until my 17 year old & husband also said the same thing. Oh, might I add .. when my 10 lb dog would walk across the floor, it would shake the tv so loud that you could hear it next door. Imagine how loud it was when an adult walked across the floor. 🤦

Staff was welcoming, bed was comfortable, coffee/water station was awesome & breakfast was good.

Suggest that ya’ll shampoo carpets more often or have the obvious spots taken care of. It wasn’t awful and for being a pet friendly facility, I was impressed with how clean everything was and how it smelled good

Checked in late and the receptionist was very kind. The room was spacious and clean, very updated. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was AMAZING! Since Covid, a lot of “continental breakfasts” are just muffins and coffee, but this place had eggs, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, sausage, waffles… and that’s just the hot food. The grounds were well maintained and we felt safe throughout our stay.

They friendly people I did real with.

No one was at the desk when we got there. I rang the bell many times and waited 15min or so before someone came. The coffee was very weak. Our second day a lady asked and I told her so she went and made more that was very good.

Breakfast was good wish they had a toaster but I say the covid 19 limited them to what they could offer.. we loved the pool always clean and a fun time.. the staff and house keeping was the sweetest people and would help with anything they could.. we had one front desk lady that worked evenings and my son and whole family loved her so much she was the best so friendly and welcoming. We had the best 6 days

We loved everything the staff was so nice and welcoming the pool was our favorite thing to do and the bed was so big and soft good nights sleep

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good! Loved there were more choices other than pastries and cereal.

The room ac cooled but it did not seem like it was pulling the humidity out. There was a sticky feeling and musty smell about the room.
