Best Western Kimball Inn

I admit I wasn't expecting it to be decent, because our last few trips have had some unpleasant overnights. I was telling myself we just need a spot to be out of the car and rest a bit, we could leave early if it was like <last 3 hotels we booked>. Imagine my relief walking in and everything being so clean and fresh and well-maintained. The room was tidy, the bathroom had no grungy corners, the shower was hot and full pressure. We slept longer than we had planned bc we were so comfortable!Breakfast was much nicer than we've become used to during covid. The tables were kept wiped off and the breakfast lady was friendly and cheerful, and kept the area running smoothly. When we walked out to load the car back up, the mountain view was worth stopping to just LOOK and appreciate the day. I expect we will be booking again, because the location is great for heading out in the morning to explore the Lookout Mountain area, without being in the hustle bustle of downtown.

Only issue was GPS not agreeing with the actual route to get in, and that isn't the hotel's fault

I was very happy that the hotel was pet friendly! And the place was very clean with friendly staff!

I was happy that yogurt was an option for breakfast, but I wish there were more gluten free choices. Also, most choices were very high in sugar (the yogurt included). Plain oatmeal would have been a nice addition, as well as plain or Greek yogurt, and hard boiled eggs. But for those without dietary restrictions, the breakfast was very nice!

Great location! The staff was friendly and helpful, the bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean and the price was great. The free breakfast was really good also.

If I had one “complaint” it would be the water pressure could’ve been a little better. It wasn’t bad by any means, but a stronger pressure would have been preferable.

All positive. Two comments for improvement. 1) The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. 2) We missed the instruction regarding leaving soiled towels outside the door for housekeeping to replace them. Probably my fault. Great stay. Good value. Very enjoyable. Thank you!

the rooms were totally remodeled and very nice. the breakfast was good and very well restocked. the breakfast attendant was very nice. the pool area was clean with pretty flowers. the very best was Robert the front desk attendant. outstanding customer service leaving us with a great overall impression.

outside of the hotel shows it age. also the halls could use a refresh.

Virgil on arrival and David when we left were wonderful and made us feel welcome and safe. Room was exceptionally comfortable and quiet, everything worked well. The pool looked great. Breakfast was nice. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Friendly staff & location. The woman behind the desk at check in was friendly, the gentleman whose son wants to play football for Arizona state was great & I appreciate the man that gave me a trash bag for our laundry.

It was pretty basic, but a comfortable enough place to get a good nights rest. Honestly, I thought I was booking the Hilton next door on my app. I even went into the Hilton to check in. But, there was no reservation on file. Lol. I had accidentally booked the Best Western. But, we were surprisingly happy. We ended saving quite a bit of money. We had checked in at 10 pm & we’re leaving early in the morning anyway.

The facility was clean and welcoming.

Only a single minor item was the coffee pot was left used from the last guest, and we were one coffee packet short due to it being opened, and still in the maker. I am sure it was an honest mistake as everything else was good.

The room was big and very clean. The breakfast was delicious, as always it was a very quiet room. Personnel were very accommodating. Stay at this hotel every year when we visit family. Best western is the best!

older but updated property

The mattress was very worn and had sink holes so it was not comfortable. It had a think pad but it didn’t help. needs replacing along with pillows. Toilet had dried urine on the seat. everything else appeared clean
