Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix-Goodyear

The hotel itself was nice, and staff was helpful. After we moved rooms for our second night, all was well. The handicapped (wheelchair accessible room) was on the third floor, which doesn't make sense for an emergency. What does one do if elevators are out of commission?

Apparently the 3rd party interface with Booking.com and Hampton Inn is problematic. I changed our dates THREE MONTHS BEFORE our trip, and received confirmation of the change. Upon arriving at the hotel, we only had ONE room instead of two, and the handicapped accessible room was booked as a "hearing accessible" room. Booking.com apparently does not discriminate between TYPES of handicapped rooms in the system. We had to change rooms on day 2, and we also had to make a lot of adjustments of charges. All in all, very frustrating.

Very well appointed hotel and the room was very nice. The staff at the front desk was excellent, very attentive and helpful. I enjoyed the Bible History room very much. There are two very good restaurants right next door and a good Mexican restaurant just a couple blocks away.

The breakfast buffet was par for a place like a Comfort Inn. A waffle machine, choice of egg, sausage, and potato; cereal, breads, oatmeal, muffins, fruit, juices, and coffee. Nothing moderately upscale. I kind of expected a little more from a hotel this nice.

My husband and I just wanted to get away for a few days. I booked a standard king room. The room was very clean and in good order. Nothing broken and well kept. There was a microwave, small fridge and coffee machine already in the room, no extra cost. The breakfast was very tasty and a good assortment for everyone. You can tell they take pride in their kitchen. There are several restaurants both walking and driving distance. The receptionist was very helpful, courteous and checked on us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The Bible museum on site was an added bonus. Very interesting and informative. I bought a few items as well. All and all we had a great time. Thank you all.

Having your own restaurant would be the icing on the cake.

A/C thermostat in our room wasn’t working and we had to use the window unit itself to control the temperature. HOWEVER, there were clear signs on the unit saying “USE THE WALL THERMOSTAT.”. Hotel staff knew about this but we were not informed, which led to us having 2 very miserable, hot nights as we wondered what we were doing wrong. Finally we asked about the thermostat and were told. NOT considerate.

Location was wonderful. Awesome Breakfast. Pool was way too green for my girls to swim. Need to check pool for chemicals that are off. The pool needs to be cleaner and more blue color.

My girls refused to swim in the pool because the color was off and way too dirty. That was disappointing when it is hot outside and you cannot even go swimming because of the pool color was off

Clean and close to restaurants. The room was quiet. The breakfast hall was clean & spacious. Lobby is very pretty & there is an interesting exhibit room.

The air-conditioning was a disaster. It’s cycled from being freezing cold to turning off. I was up and down all night trying to get it to stay at some thing either freezing cold or just the fan. I finally had to turn the system off and just been miserably warm. The system needs fixing in 232.

The nighttime front desk worker was so nice and he was super welcoming. Everything was sparkling clean as well and the AC was strong.

This is the first hotel I’ve stayed at which didn’t offer complimentary water or at the very least, a stocked mini bar to purchase one from. We arrived at midnight and were incredibly thirsty.

It is conveniently located. There are a lot of activities and restaurants near it. The gas station is even a mile away. The rooms were great, the pool was awesome, and the breakfast selection was wonderful. Checking in was super fast and easy and so was checking out. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was very nice, rooms were clean, beds comfortable, it was so quiet, and peaceful. Breakfast was good. Sylvia at the desk was so nice and personal. Very interested in your day and inquired if you need anything or not. She texted us every day asking us. We will definitely go there again. Housekeeping was very nice and helpful with our needs. We totally enjoyed our stay.

There could be more lights in the room.

I paid an extra $40 to go with booking.com because they said I could pay cash at check in. That my credit card would only hold the reservation. I showed up the day before to pay cash so it wouldn’t go on the cc, and they refused to accept cash. Staff said it was a new policy. I think this should be updated to the websites that represent your place of business accurately. I was very disappointed to find out they had already charged my card.
