Blue Lantern Inn, A Four Sisters Inn

Everything. I really can’t find anything to criticize. First of all the location of the Inn. It’s over the hill looking the ocean. Although a bit old but well maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was at Third story, very spacious, clean, comfortable and cozy. The balcony was amazing. We sat there every evening having our complementary Wine and Cheese platter so called Picnic basket enjoying the beautiful scenery. Bathroom renovated and equipped with Jacuzzi tub, two wash basins and a shower. Bed very comfortable as well. Breakfast was included and it was really good. Upon arrival I expressed our trip reason being 27th anniversary and as we landed in our room a bottle of champagne was our welcome gift. Very nice of them.

A bit old. Our expensive ocean view room was right off dining area. I was disappointed because this was one of the more expensive rooms. #104. I felt like it was the “booking.com” room. Someone assigned to cleaning at night was hitting their mop or broom against the walls which woke us up and then we could hear dishes being set up for breakfast very early in the morning. Very noisy room. A remodel had been done (probably carpet removal) on the flooring causing a lip at entrance to bathroom. we both tripped several times. We were not provided hand towels upon arrival and there were no coffee cups. no big deal this stay as we were not in the room much but attention to detail was disappointing for the price point.

Very seldom when you travel does a hotel exceed your expectations. The Blue Lantern and especially the wonderful stuff accomplished this. My wife and can’t wait to return. Thanks again for making our stay so enjoyable. CJ Demos

There was nothing about the Blue Lantern that I would change. Pretty close to perfect in every way. I just wish we could’ve stayed longer.

the property was at such a pretty location , once I knew where it was , it was an easy guess that it’d have a beautiful view . the people were also super kind . the bathrooms were elegant too .

the only down side was that it was supposed to have a part of the ocean view , turned out to be barely a view and it didn’t feel like it was worth the amount payed .

WE LOVED THIS HOTEL!!!!!! FROM START TO FINISH THE HOTEL WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND - WE FELT VERY PAMPERED HERE - THE STAFF (CATHY) WAS AMAZING AND EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. THE ROOM WAS AMAZING AND THE BED FELT LIKE A CLOUD. WE HAD A PATIO SUITE AND THE VIEWS WERE AMAZING. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AND LOOK FORWARD TO GOING BACK!!!

The hotel is beautiful in an amazing location. Breakfast was wonderful.

All of the pillows on the beds were too thick for sleeping. I got a sore neck and back and couldn't sleep well fighting with my pillow to try to get comfortable. Also, there was a threaded needle on the carpet from a previous guest. Luckily I found it before we stepped on it.

Our third visit to this hotel on our travels around California from Scotland and we just love where it is situated with a fantastic view. The hotel itself is very comfortable and welcoming and rooms superb. Afternoon wine & snacks delightful and breakfast tasty. Free bike rental a bonus too.

Cozy home like environment and the breakfast was really good.

Clearly older building because as soon as we got in our room I noticed that someone was taking a shower because you could hear the water through the pipes in the wall. It was extremely loud.

Very, very quiet at the time we were there, the front desk said sometimes they families come to stay or a wedding party then they can have more hustle and bustle. Nice retreat for a couple.

I was trying to figure out what room would be the best for my husband and I so there was a lot of calling back and forth with Booking.com, the hotel and us as a result we figured which room! The week before I called the hotel for some reason our room didn’t get changed to the one we wanted after all the communication it didn’t get changed and it was our 50th anniversary! Bummer, the hotel was totally booked and we doing this a whole month and a half before. The room we got turned out to be a nice room, whew!

The Blue Lantern in was an absolute delight. I travel to the area quite often and the Blue Lantern is my go to place to stay. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and well-appointed. The staff always goes above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and the location can't be beat.
