Hyatt Place Glendale/Los Angeles

For the most part, everything was great. Clean, very nice looking room with small fridge. Staff were wonderful. Location was excellent!

Cons: Due to Covid, there is no valet service to help with baggage and park the car. Was scary to have to use a dark alley to a very dark parking structure. As an older woman, it was hard to drag my bags from structure to hotel and scary walking in such a dark area. Second, food service was disappointing --- again, due to Covid.

This is a good hotel to stay if you are visiting Hollywood and Warner Bro's Studios. Very close to attractions in LA and locations like Rodeo drive. The hotel is very clean, and the rooms are quite spacious. The rooms have basic amenities like a coffee machine and a fridge. They also offer a good breakfast. Overall, very good hotel to stay when visiting LA.

The parking is a little bit expensive ($27+Tax). The rooms do not have a microwave. Also, the rooms need little maintenance and should also include an ice bucket.

Loved the location. It was close to all the places we wanted to go. 20-minute drive to Universal Studios and Dodgers stadium. We walked to the galleries, Portos bakery, 85°C bakery, and all our favorite restaurants and stores were walking distance. The staff was super nice and friendly, always greeting you no matter the time you showed up. My kids loved going to breakfast and the pool. We will definitely book again in future family vacations.

I'm not a big fan of valet parking due to bad experience. Wish the parking lot was bigger or more open for those who prefer to park on their own. So we decided to park in the building that was next to the hotel. Still, it was super close to the main entrance.

As soon as I walked in, Dominic was there to greet us with a pleasant and professional smile. He was kind and asked us where we came from, explained the hours of operation for the pool and other amenities. The beds were firm (just how I liked it), and the sheets felt and smelled clean. My bare feet were not dirty from walking on the carpet. It was quiet; we did not hear anyone in the next room above or under us. We also did not hear any traffic, so we slept in nicely. The breakfast was good. Food was good quality and tasty. Everything was hot and fresh or cold and kept cold.

It's not a huge issue, but it would have been nice if the parking structure was under the hotel or somehow connected to the building. I appreciate the fact that there was security. However, walking out of the parking garage in the cold and at night did not feel the safest. Also, each night, we saw a homeless person set up camp in the building next to the parking garage, and it was awkward seeing them as we walked to the hotel. The day we checked out, someone urinated in the parking garage and smelled horrible.

We received a great welcome at this hotel. Breakfast was very good. Room was large with a lovely high ceiling. The whole place was spotless. Loved the piped music in the public areas. Great location; an easy Uber drive to universal city etc. Brilliant shopping and restaurants nearby.

The only thing, if I’m pushed, was on our final morning, our family of 5 couldn’t fit together, as the larger tables were occupied by couples. This could have been remedied by a member of staff directing guests to tables of an appropriate size for the party. Not a massive issue though.

I like how spacious our rooms are. Also, minimalist type of furniture also. They have great breakfast selections as well. And the staff are good and caring (Hi to Jewel!). They always asked if you need anything else while having bfast and will take care of everything you ask of them. The location is very good! Walking distance to Glendale Galleria Mall which have everything you need! The area is very safe and situated in a very upscale place.

The parking fee of $25/day. But there's a street parking that is free but its a first come, first serve basis only. Also, there's a weird noise at night like something has dropped (even if we are located on the top floor-10th) and seem like an aircon/exhaust sound. The hotel is a bit pricey but you get what you paid for.

The property was very well kept and worth the rate. I also enjoyed the amenities and how comfortable the bed was!

I wish the breakfast lasted longer than 10am and that they had a self-parking lot rather than valet only.

Location was great, easy drive to any attraction and easy walk to local spots for food and entertainment. Breakfast is free and very good!

Valet parking is way too expensive, local parking is right next door and much cheaper if you self park which the hotel should promote over valet. In hotel purchases like water are also very pricey, take a walk across the street and purchase what’s needed at a 1/4 of the price.

I liked everything! Staff was amazing Grace was very helpful and attentive when we found a pack of cigarettes in our room! We were offered snacks from the marketplace, but didn't take up the offer. Room was great and big enough for our family of 6. Location was very close to plenty of restaurants all within walking distance. Kids didn't complain once for a change!

Parking a suburban. We parked in a sketchy parking garage for $15 overnight. It was so bad, not fun walking to the car at night, even with security.

We really liked this hotel! Yes, it’s LA expensive but a very good value. It is really clean and very well maintained. We had a middle of the night check-in and we were greeted by a very kind and helpful man named Jesse. Our room was so quiet and clean. The breakfast is phenomenal! We were surprised. There are so many options and all of good quality. The hotel location can’t be beat. The staff here are just so nice and the hotel also. We would definitely stay here again.
