Foghorn Harbor Inn

Great location, helpful staff, very clean and comfortable (although a little outdated) rooms. The Cheesecake Factory attached to the hotel was really convenient. This hotel is ideal for large groups or families especially. I liked how the lower level had easy beach access.

The rooms and carpet and curtains could use a little update. The windows going out to the beach from the porch on the lower level were really foggy. The room telephones could use an update. They should also consider putting an ice machine on the lower level as well and installing a vending machine or somewhere in the hotel to get basics. The store next door is closed up so it would be convenient for the hotel to have a few items on hand for purchase.

Unfortunately breakfast is not included but 5mn walk and nice place to have breakfast at a reasonable price. Cheesecake factory next door for a nice diner. Need a reservation. Just on little beach in front on marina.

After a long flight from London, it was lovely to find such a great room with its terrace and brilliant view over Mother's Beach. It was easy to walk to Venice Beach and along to Santa Monica Pier where we could enjoy the surroundings and the local bars and restaurants. We also took an Uber up to Hollywood which was close enough to be practical even on a budget. The staff we met were all friendly and charming and ready to help with all our queries. We'd recommend the Foghorn Harbor Inn to anyone visiting the area and would book again in future. Thanks for a great stay!

This family run hotel was such a good find and is a real gem. The location is perfect with an amazing view of the marina and the beach just a few feet away. The staff are lovely and can't do enough to help. Rooms are spacious and very clean with a large fridge, microwave and an endless supply of Nespresso coffee on hand. We initially booked for one night and had a first floor room and we're able to book for a second night. We needed to move to the ground floor but our room there was equally amazing and the manager helped us move. There were lots of nice places to eat and the hotel was within walking distance of South Beach. What a lovely experience. We will definitely return one day!

location, access to retail and recreational facilities. Staff were friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. Front desk staff assisted my transportation needs professionally. Very impressed. Housekeeping staff helpful.

Room cleanliness woefully inadequate. Bathroom floor dirty. Refrigerator worked sporadically. Sliding screen in total disrepair. AC rusty. overall conditions clearly indicate no deep cleaning. possibly Housekeeping is severely understaffed for premier location resort. Staff overcame the shortcomings of my room on all shifts. Owner clearly has not re-invested in badly needed capitol expenditures.

The location was unbeatable but on top of that the customer service was amazing. Honestly the best customer service I’ve ever had and we stay at hotels often. They were so helpful and always wanted to help us and every staff member we saw was the same in wanting to assist us in any way possible. The view was amazing. It was clean. The beds were comfortable and the blankets and towels were not cheaply made. I would 100% stay there for much longer next time. And right next to everything you need. It was awesome.

Great location! Nice scent sprayed in room. Could ride my bike around the marina promenade and walk to the conference I was attending! Pretty quiet at night during the week. Front desk was super helpful and accommodating as well. They extended my parking at no cost. Mara was extra amazing!

A couple dark long hairs found in bedding and on furniture but seemed pretty clean otherwise. Maybe cleaning staff forgot to tie back their hair?

The rooms had a beautiful view of the beach especially at night. I love how it was just a couple steps from the playground for kids to play and how you can just step on the balcony and can watch your kids. The rooms were clean and comfortable for a family mini vacation.

The sad thing was there werent many optio s on channels on the tv.

The staff accommodated my girlfriend and I as it was our last night together in the states as she went back to England and I am getting sent to South Korea. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken cared of and were lovely from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. I would definitely stay here again.
