Su Casa at Venice Beach

The location is awesome. There is a restaurant below which was so convenient and also very quiet when I was in the room. It was beyond clean and had all I needed, frig, microwave, nice bedding large bathroom. The view out the window to the ocean was really great. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We walked to Santa Monica Pier (about 2 miles) and rode in a bicycle taxi back to the room. There was lots to see and do right at your doorstep.

Overnight parking is not the easiest to find. We went to the day parking next door and they explained they closed at 9. I asked if we could pay them extra to keep the vehicle overnight and they obliged. It is worth asking so if at first they say day only, ask for overnight for an extra charge. Parking is the only part that had me concerned but we were able to work it out.

It was a little clammy in the room and the thermostat was in a lock box so you could not adjust the temperature or open a window. The fan and light would go on and off randomly almost like someone in the room over was using the remote and was changing ours?

I loved the place, the location and the friendly staff both in the morning with Oscar and in the evening with the lovely lady with a French accent who could not have been more helpful even printing my boarding pass and receipt late at night. The place shows attention to detail, it is cozy and the room I had even without the sea view was set up and decorated with taste and practical simplicity. It felt like home with extra Eiderdown and impecably clean. Also it is in the same space, terrace and porch of the Fig Tree where you can eat delicious food, coffer and bites at all times sin early breakfast. A total plus. I will go back next time like a rocket.

strange smell in the staircase

Right at the beach front, this was an incredible location. Being able to wander out onto the beach every morning was literally a blessing. The staff were wonderful, super helpful, and the apartment servicing really goes above and beyond! Stones throw away from some of the best breakfast eats I've ever had (bluestone Lane cafe, Eggslut and a Ben & Jerry's parlour to name a few!) As well as right near a CBS for any local bits and bobs. The boardwalk is FULL of character and so lively, you really feel the vibe of the area. Beds were super comfy, towels and toiletries were provided and refreshed upon request. Beach towels also provided upon request! Honestly the staff couldn't have been more helpful. When we needed masks for our Uber, they provided. When we needed to store our luggage on day of departure, they provided. When we needed to charge our phones whilst waiting for our airport cab, they provided. Oscar and Kyle were fantastic (I forget the name of the other two wonderful women on the team but they were amazing too!) We had a cute balcony with our room, as well as fresh coffee and coffee machine, a dishwasher, Internet, TV and a bathroom with all usual amenities.

This didn't bother me and my friends - but just a heads up that being on the beachfront boardwalk in Venice means that there's a lot of activity from a very early time - so if yo book her, don't be upset if you're expecting complete silence - you're dead centre in a hotspot for tourists. The noise didn't bother us, we slept like babies every night !

The apartment was great. Nicely decorated, with a lot of light, comfortable beds, a wonderful terrace.

We had 2 apartments, both on the 2d floor. One with amazing beach/sea view and the other one with street view + balcony. They were both spacious and light. We had the posibility to cook. The restaurant Fig Tree below the apartments, serves good breakfast, lunch and dinner. The apartments were clean and had everything we needed. Paid parking possibilities were nearby. Except for the noice, location is great!

It's on Venice beach, which means a lot of people (tourists, locals/homeless) who walk / cycle below, in front of the apartments. Because of this and all the music in the street, it's a noicy place, but the view from the apartment with sea view makes up for it. The restaurant started at 06.00 am with cleaning and having music on. We had to ask for clean towels. Apartments were not cleaned during our stay.

Excellent location, if you get the suites rooms you can see the ocean, the beach, the sunset, people walking on the boardwalk, palm trees, lots of sunlight. Also it's right on the Venice boardwalk, great for walks any time.

Parking is a challenge. The property doesn't have its own parking, and parking nearby can be very expensive. If you don't have a car that's fine, you can use Uber to go anywhere

This place is really incredible within reason. If you don’t need a white glove 5 star experience this is the best place I could picture. It’s literally right on the beach and the room was huge and beautiful. Literally bigger than many apartments. We got upgraded to a balcony suite so I’m not sure what the other rooms are like but the suite was incredible. It was super clean and came with so many amenities including a strainer vegetable peeler wine key and glasses and so on. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful and the place was quiet tho I’m not sure how full it was (a peaking pandemic makes for quiet vacation scheduling)

So the only thing was that nothing really worked that well, IT wise. The WiFi was split between 3 different networks each of which would go in and out intermittently. I don’t expect most people spend a lot of time in the room but as I was doing some work It was pretty frustrating. And somehow I had almost no service in my room making my hotspot not useful either. The fan/overhead light remote control in our room also didn’t work. But that’s it. Everything else was perfect
