Newport Beach Marriott Bayview

The weather and location. if we were staying longer, I would have specified a room with a bay facing view. The staff was super friendly and made accommodations where they could.

Extra cost for amenities. Besides parking costing $35 per night, Internet was $14.95 per night (which I didn’t opt for) and bottled water was $7 in the room which I would expect, but the lobby concession was $6.

The property is clean, cozy, has a beautiful pool area with fire pits, and an extremely kind staff that are very accommodating. Please be sure to tip staff well as they work so hard! The rooms are all beautiful and big with very cozy beds. The bathroom is so nice with a shower and separate bath. It is very kid friendly to the point of making movie nights for them in the pool. The view of the bay is beautiful. It’s only about a 30 min drive to the beach.

The food is very bland. The burgers patties tasted like water without seasoning. I don’t know if it’s meant to be that way because the clientele doesn’t like too much seasoning, which is possible. I’m just used to more flavor. The front of the hotel is ugly because it looks dirty like it needs a power wash, but the moment you walk in it’s gorgeous and so is the back pool area. The view is beautiful, however it looks more of a lake than a beach since it’s about a 30 min drive to the closest beach pier. It is very kid friendly which can be a pro or con depending on what you’re looking for.

it was unfortunate that in-room water costs $ 7 per bottle. And to charge parking for hotel residents!

This property was clean, comfortable, great food , nice patio area , pool was heated and the fitness center was great, not to mention the walking trail around the back bay was very convenient.

The parking fees and internet fee was a little high, especially since the room rates are not the lowest. The air conditioner did t have a continuous fan on it so the room did get stuffy at night if we didn’t crank the temperature really low.

I loved the customer service. the whole staff was nice and we felt like everyone genuinely cared about our needs. the food and outdoor amenities were outstanding. i would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family. hotel was immaculate!

The rooms need a little bit of upgrades. maybe add some usb charging ports in room. there was an iphone radio clock that is non existent no a days.

Room was spacious with good light and very clean. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Coffee bar downstairs is convenient. Location is good and convenient but not luxurious. Free Showtime was a nice bonus.

Pool and fitness areas are small. Parking cost extra. For a longer stay I would have liked to have a bigger fridge, a microwave and better coffee machine.

We had a wonderful 5 day stay at the Newport Beach Marriott Bayview. The customer service from check-in through walking out the doors the last time was fantastic. We dined in the restaurant for various meals throughout our stay and the servers there were fantastic, as was the food. The kids meal portions were large, and the price point was perfect. We dined outdoors for every meal ans the view was fantastic. We enjoyed the pool every day we were there and loved that a portion was shaded and the rest in the sun. The pool setup was great! The outdoor space worked great for us from the pool, conversational fire pits, outdoor seating and small lawn area. Our room was great with a view of the Bay, and it was handy having a fridge to keep drinks and snacks cold. Having a living space in addition to the bedroom allowed us to relax more in our room than we expected. The hotel was very clean and the grounds were immaculate. We were sad to depart? But we added this hotel to the top of our list for a return trip. We couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else after the wonderful hospitality and location.

It has a good location, and quite close to the plaza out on Bristol st. There are many cafes and restaurants, and arent far from Lido Marina village. It's approx. 15-20 min by car, same time it takes to go to Hungtington beach. The pool and gym were very clean. Thanks a bunch for that.

Unfortunately, the hotel being a bit outdated….guest rooms are in dire need of updating ….The breakfast menu could also be given more options.

Being on the side with the view.

Since there wasn’t maid service everyday, we ran out of cups and coffee. I would liked to have 2 bars of soap, and a note pad on the desk.

Very much enjoyed the view of the water and the effect of the daily tide. Really, really enjoyed our time at Irvine and the hotel added to that experience (even though we spent very little time actually at the hotel).

The mini store had no Coke products!! Free lemon ice water was great, but the tiny paper cups were ridiculously small - practically like drinking water from a teaspoon.... Otherwise, everything was awesome!!
