The Palm Springs Hotel

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Can't say enough about how nice they were. Room was clean. Really enjoyed that this is a small place and has a sense of privacy. The grounds are well kept and the atmosphere was relaxing. We often had the pool and hot tub to ourselves, you don't get that at a big resort. And if you want to swim at 2:00 am you can, just be quiet. Also, Loved the music that played throughout the day and evening around the pool, it matches the vibe of the hotel. The view of the Mountains was beautiful aside from power lines, but that's just being picky. There is no restaurant or bar as this place is small, but there were restaurants within walking distance and downtown Palm Springs is a short drive/ride away.

Parking is limited, but there was plenty of street parking available. Smoking is allowed around one of the fire pits at one end of the pool grounds and on a couple of occasions the smoke was very noticeable. To a non smoker it was kind of annoying. Price was a bit on the high side, but after a couple days we were glad not to be in a larger resort or hotel. Overall it was exactly as advertised.

Pretty setting. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Rooms attractive. Staff were wonderful - sp kind and thoughtful. Also very hardworking. Housekeeping staff very amenable

Needs maintenance badly. For instance bathroom grout is missing. Water must be going between tiles - rotting out the walls or floors behind/below It was really “bed and pool”, not a hotel in the regular sense. No food available except snacks (cookies) Needs a manual on how to’s etc to improve one’s stay.

People in the hot tub til 3am loud; drinking, having sex.....underwater left on aloe plant. So I shared my morning coffee, with someone’s drunken underwear; as a sober person, it’s disheartening. I needed a little get away, and couldn’t use 99% of pool areas.

No security/care/monitoring pool so other guests also enjoy their stay and it isn’t ruined by drinking guests.

24/7 pool. This was a great place for us to come and relax - there are no amenities and this is not a resort style hotel, so we enjoyed hanging by the pool (BYOB style) and relaxing. Room was comfy and clean. Would love to rent it out with friends next time. Was not a family style hotel but that's what we were looking for. Am definitely planning on coming back for another staycation!

The room had a subtle but odd smell. At first it wasn't noticeable and it wasn't horrible, but it was a bit odd. Also, the price was a little high for me but I would stay there again.

The property was clean and the atmosphere was very quiet and pleasant but not too quiet. We liked the music that was low. One day the music was Rat Pack era and the next it was some cool vibe. It was very quaint and gave a feeling of attentiveness yet we had the feeling of letting us do our own thing without being watched over. We liked the privacy and very importantly we felt the security was great. The guy that works there lit the fire pits and put candles out on the tables at sundown to make a cozy atmosphere as well which was a detail that was appreciated.

The TV situation was a little bit of a weird set up. It was a small little picture inside a big humongous TV. Not that TV watching was important to us. However it was a little bit confusing with all the directions for Apple TV versus DIRECTV etc. at that point you just want to turn on the TV and it works no doing anything electronically or technically.

The facility has a wonderful peaceful vacation feel to it. The hot tub is AMAZING. The background mountain scenery is stunning. A surprise considering you are in the city! Super clean and really nice. Wonderful big super comfy bed with abundant pillows. Even though not far from a busy street very quiet and very restful!

The toilet was so low it was like it was designed to accommodate little people or small children. Hard to get up and down if you are a senior like me with bad knees. Also the chair at the desk was a stylish metal type with no cushion and so uncomfortable I put a pillow on it. Also its a bit hard to get to your room with only one entrance since the closest one to the parking lot is closed off and if you have a lot of luggage you have to walk quite a bit. But worth the walk!

While this property is right on the busy highway, when you enter the secured gate it becomes a wonderful private enclave. Our room was small but stylish and efficient (the mattress a bit firm for my liking but the hubs loved it!). Eric was a delight, friendly and accommodating... wish we could have stayed longer than one night to enjoy the pool and spa.

A bit of a schlep from the parking lot to the front door, but that’s about it!

I really like the smallness of the hotel, the quiet peaceful atmosphere. I love the size of the pool and access to it directly from the room. No hallways!!!!

The lighting arrangement in the room was a little weird. If I used one of the switches on my side of the bed it turned off all the lights. If I used the other switch it kept both side lights of the bed on so it was impossible to read in bed without having lights shining on my husband on the other side. HMMMM

Lovely staff. That, to me, makes all the difference. Accommodating, friendly, and readily available. The pool and hot tub are fabulous and I love the two fire pits. The room is just that- has what you need and nothing extra. This isn’t the hotel you come for if you’re looking for room service or spa treatments, but it’s perfect if you’re looking for privacy, not a lot of people around, to relax, swim, and sleep. I loved my stay!

The room could do with a rug or two, and a little more light. And maybe an additional bowl of fresh fruits (apples, oranges) in addition to the granola bars in the lobby.

Great little hotel. Only 16 rooms. Very nice heated pool and hot tub. Two fire pits. One for the smoking area. Staff was very friendly. Except maybe the one guy on nights. Located more north but still not far from the shops and restaurants on Palm Canyon.

Right off of north Palm Canyon, so you would get traffic noise. Sometimes loud. Only 10 parking spaces for 16 rooms. Our last couple days someone had their camping trailer in one, plus their vehicle in another. So now only 8 spaces. The one guy that worked, usually nights, wasn’t always the most polite , actually he was a smartass.
