Best Western Plus Placerville Inn

The beds were comfortable. The room was spacious. We had a refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast was good and the pool was clean and relaxing.

On the Booking.com website it showed 3 different prices for a room with 2 queens. I chose the highest priced room, thinking I would get a nicer room, maybe with a sliding door to the pool or something like that. When I got to the hotel, I was given the same room that I could've gotten had I chosen the cheapest room. We were on the bottom floor. I had to walk up and down the stairs to get to the ground floor. That was disappointing. If I had known, I would've booked the cheapest room with 2 queen beds.

The staff were super friendly. The minute I walked in to the hotel the reservationist was super friendly and accommodating. I told her we were there with our two granddaughters enjoying and learning about the gold country. Our oldest granddaughter played John Sutter in a school play. The Reservationist made sever comments about family and spending time together. She was super sweet and friendly.

The breakfast was great, we were very unhappy that they stopped serving breakfast at 9:00 when many families were turned away. I believe that during a holiday week an extension of breakfast hours.

I believe that the breakfast hours should be extended to 10:00 during a holiday week. Also the route from the front desk to our room should be covered actually got wet going to our room.

Great location, terrific staff. Free parking, nice room with fridge and microwave.

Bed was saggy in the middle, toilet had floating "leftover" particles in it. I wanted to eat breakfast Sunday morning, but discovered it started at 7am instead of 6am. I had to check out at 6:15am. My room was right across the vending machines, and people were buying sodas at 4am, when the sodas were dispensed, it made loud clunking sounds.

Adela was very accommodating and had our room ready for check in. She even suggested a fantastic restaurant to try. My grandchildren enjoyed making waffles for breakfast. There was an abundance of hot and cold foods available . The location is convenient easy access to the freeway.

The room was a bit outdated especially for the daily rate Beat Western Plus charges. Also, the hot tub/spa was not hot on both the days we tried using it. Unfortunately, this cut our pool and spa time use in half.

Everything was great! We stay at Best Westerns a lot when traveling. The room was a good size and clean. We were happy to see a fridge and microwave in the room. We'd like to thank the employee who gave up his parking space for us when we couldn't find one due to so many workers trucks in the lot. Thank you so much! That only happened the first night. Next time we visit family we'll for sure stay at your hotel! P.S. The wild turkeys in the parking lot were awesome!

Not much we didn't like. The breakfast was ok...we understand that it was scaled down due to covid. Not a problem.

Location next to great Mexican restaurant and bar. Otherwise nothing special about the room.

Had a fake electric fireplace that didn’t work. Path that management wanted us to take thru the pool area made us go thru 2 additional card check doors that had heavy doors, just to get to our room. This is a pain when you ‘re old and pulling multiple suitcases.

I have stayed at the property several times and have always found the front desk staff to be helpful and amenable to making flexible decisions. The breakfast is nice and the property is centrally located to good shopping. The property has a good vibe.

Spent the last 4 days at the property and for the most part it's my goto property in Placerville. My only complaint was that in the 4 days, housekeeping never came by once, and I ended up having to dispose of my garbage each day. $150/night is a bit steep to steward your own room and have to reuse towels because noone switched them out.... A bit disappointing.

The staff was what made this location so special...Nick @ the front desk was AMAZING!! He made us feel so welcome, and made a special effort to find us a dog-friendly room. He also helped us extend our stay (due to being evacuated from the Caldor Fire), after he heard us say we would otherwise be homeless....I can't say enough about Nick, and how his actions far exceeded any expectations! Also found out that Nick was evacuated from the Caldor Fire and volunteered to give up his room there for other evacuees, leaving him to sleep in the hotel's conference room! Who does that?! Nick does. Whatever you're paying him, it's not enough! Cheers, Nick!

The downstairs level carpet. Felt like casino carpet, and after a week staying there, it kinda made me feel like we were in The Shining. An elevator would be nice too, lots of stair climbing.

Room was large and clean with sliding door access to pool. Breakfast was good. Requested a ground floor room and they said they didn't see it on the reservation. However they did arraign to accommodate me. Very nice customer service.

Had problem with key card lasting for more than 2 or 3 slides. Got stuck outside with key card would not work. The biggest complaint was the toilet was too low to the ground. The seat was only about 18" tall. Had a hard time getting up after using it.
