Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa

The lazy river/water slides area was great for kids and adults alike. We spent all afternoon there. Loved the poolside food/drinks service, too. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food at the cafes and restaurants on the property was tasty overall.

The rooms are a bit outdated in terms of furniture/decor. Also there is only one entrance to the water park area so it's a bit far for those staying in rooms that are not near the entrance. I'd suggest having at least 1-2 more entrances so it's convenient no matter where you're staying on the property. Lastly, the property is not very close to Palm Springs (about 25-30 minutes).

We appreciated the cleanliness of our room, facilities, and pool area. My wife and I enjoyed the quality of the cocktails. Kids loved the slide and lazy river. Overall, we all enjoyed the customer experience.

My drink tickets were good for beer, soda, and coffee. I was advised by one server and one concierge that I would be credited for a pina colada too. However, during checkout I was advised otherwise. At least the manager credited us for one of three pina coladas.

It is a beautiful property

we had some issues with the hot water. Our room, while it was very nice… Had limited “hot” water And we had to have the engineering department come twice. Our first night there we had tepid water it was not hot whatsoever even after running for 15 minutes which really bother me because of the drought in California… We wasted a lot of water. But the staff dead rise to the occasion and the manager was very accommodating… So I would go back and give them another chance because the location and the facilities are very nice and the food was EXCELLENT!

The property is beautiful. We ended up with a room facing the pond on the golf course. It was gorgeous - faced west so got to see sunsets every night with mountains in the background. Lots of ducks and even some Great Egrets on the water. Service was exceptional. Free parking. Nice water park and pools.

I felt the food was overpriced. Blu Ember food and drinks were really good, and great service. The smaller cafe just had the American food, with airport prices. The carpet in our room could have used a steam clean, but otherwise everything was tidy.

Liked how my pool overlooked the pool. The pool was awesome! Kids really enjoyed it. The pool was the best attraction to this hotel.

Issues with the rooms the start of check in. The 2nd room we got had a very bad odor from the refrigerator. The staff did replace it, but we still couldn't use the refrigerator because the drawer the refrigerator was still stunk really bad. The smell also lingered into the closet. Bathroom shampoo and conditioner was down the empty.

Spacious rooms, we got a king bed with sofa bed. Rooms look exactly like pictures! family pool was great, the help there was great. great service!

we saw too many finger prints on cabinets in room, lots of dirty areas that seemed to never be touched, not sure if the carpet is supposed to be brown or if it’s just from years of build up. definitely half assed cleaning. I always take cleaning supplies because ya never know and they came in handy.

We had fun as a family. It is a nice place to stay, it just needs a few tweaks to make better. I'm sure it is much better if you're a golfer or if your kids are younger. After age 10 they are not really interested in the little beach, the splash zone or even the lazy river.

The main pool with the nightly movie was too crowded and too warm. The hot tub there was too cool and not filled up far enough. Therefore, we spent most of our time in the other pool, which is nice, the perfect temperature and the hot tub is better. For this size facility you really need another pool. The BluEmber had the most horrible service I've ever seen. Cislali was excellent with the bread and water etc., and the food runner was excellent. Those two had a personality, they spoke with us and we loved them. The actual server was the worst. I didn't even catch his name. He doesn't know what he's doing. The kids buffet needs some protein on it. At least chicken tenders for 16 dollars. It was all grilled cheese, cheese pizza and mac n cheese. Waste of money.

I like everything about this place and is my favorite place to stay in the area.

I had booked our room weeks in advance, maybe even a month and asked for a certain room or a room in that building which a reply was given saying it's all due to availability. They told us nothing was available in that building which was fine and we got a room. It was located right next the edge of the pool where a kids game was on and my wife said it was just too loud right there and I went back to the front desk which they then told me the only other available room was in the building we had just been told there was nothing available? So I was happy about that and still happy with that room-(in the 800 building) however there was a tree directly in front of the balcony that did take up most the view.

Room was well laid out. Loved our patio. Staff was SUPERB on all levels.

We chose the property partially based on tennis. But when we went to the tennis property, we were told we could only reserve after 1:30pm but could only rent tennis racquets and ball machines prior to 1:30pm. This felt quite manipulative as it seemed designed to allow the Resort to offer tennis but still allow the Tennis Club to not actually offer tennis. We were extremely disappointed by this.

Property was very nice, I like the fact we can park right in front of our room so much easier, clean, pools were also kept up clean every morning. Also nice that they have a plaza right across the hotel more options to eat and explore and shop.

Not to much to see on the property limited.
