Comfort Suites Red Bluff near I-5

We were so pleasantly surprised with our stay as we typically stay in Marriotts and Hiltons. We stayed at Hampton Inn on the way to Mt. Shasta and here at Comfort Suites on the way from. Honestly, it’s much much better than Hampton Inn and cheaper too. Breakfast was good with all the necessities from oatmeal to hot items to carbs and dairy and a waffle station. AC was good and strategically located in a room not to blow directly but to the side and still cool the room. Room itself is probably double the size of Hampton Inn with a sitting area, work area and kitchen area. They even do room service in comparison to other hotels who stopped it since Covid times and never returned unless you stay like a week or something like that. Snacks throughout the day refilled so as chilled water in a lobby. Pool is clean. Fitness center is small but it’s there and available. 1 hr drive to Lassen SW entrance. 30 min to Redding. Not only we will stay here again, we will now try to stay at other Comfort Suites nationwide. I always ignored it on my search because I thought they are a class lower even from Hamptons and BW but much better stay than the other ones.

The only negative I can say is wifi is not good. My husband is an IT and had to work remotely. He really struggled. Had to go to Starbucks to use internet.

New, spacious rooms and all the amenities, great little perks unseen before at any other US hotels (like chilled lemon water at the lobby), good breakfast (by American hotels standards ;)), everything works as it should, nice staff, super easy and smooth check-in process ... really, it felt like the ideal hotel experience.

These feels like nitpicking, but the fridges/freezers in the rooms could be a bit larger, given that Red Bluff is a gateway to a lot of great outdoors like Lassen, Shasta etc., so many campers need to store their coolers contents and freezing their ice blocks overnight before heading off to the wilderness.

Very clean, comfortable bed, cookies in lobby, breakfast good, packaged stuff & waffle station (I do not eat waffles) hard boiled eggs, instant oatmeal,👍Coffee maker in room.👍very hot day/air- conditioner on & walking into room a welcome retreat. Several sources of lighting from bright to subdued. Also had a night light.👍

No shampoo/creme rinse. They did have a body/hand lotion dispenser. View of an alley/patio?? Not sure. But it was clean.

This is a good halfway point to rest for my family and me when we drive from Tacoma WA to Long Beach CA. It's not right next to the highway so car highway noise is negligible. The front desk and staff were friendly and courteous. The free breakfast was decent and enough to get us on our way. The room we stayed in (two queen beds and a balcony) was a good size. Everything in the room was in good working order. Reasonably priced.

Like anything else, time will take its toll. The facility looks dated. Carpeting and furniture need to be updated eventually. This is a pet-friendly facility. This probably contributes to the dated look of the carpet and furniture.

Breakfast was wonderful, location was great. It’s a very nice motel even with the construction going on. I loved they had coffee and juice with snacks going on all day. That was a nice treat, the employees were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

The cleaning staff woke us up early every morning, while getting ready to do their job. They were very loud, talking , and laughing getting their carts ready. I guess my room was next to the cleaning supply room. I not complaining, just stating that I would of liked to have slept in a little more. I must say the carpet in my room was not all that clean. My stay overall was wonderful.

The location was quite convenient for folks "traveling through" on 1-5. Staff were professional and friendly. The bed was comfortable, which is extremely important, and the linens were soft. The room seemed quite clean overall!

An annoying fly was in our room. I asked for a quiet room. Our room WAS away from elevators and ice machines, as requested, BUT it was right next to an exit door on the first floor. So, lots of early departures were going out and clanging the door behind as they left the hotel.

Location was good, it was just a short walk into town where we could find nice places to eat.

As far as breakfast I was disappointed with the coffee, there were no bagels, the choice of cold cereal was poor, there was not a variety of fruit, only apples. Being close to so much fast food was not a bonus, since we don't eat fast food.

After a long road-trip, it was the perfect stay. It was a larger room out of all the hotels we stayed at. Quiet, clean, and comfortable. I would definitely book again!

Overall I had a good experience but I would recommend more breakfast options. There wasn’t any orange juice.

The staff was amazing and super accommodating. Very friendly and sweet and amazing. Bed was amazing, I came in at 4am exhausted from a long drive from Washington state and staff was more than accommodating.

Room was a little dusty. Curtains didn't close all the way to block out sunlight or block the view from the area outside my window in 103

The breakfast was good with a nice selection. The location was convenient to the freeway but not right next to it. The check-in person was very helpful. And one of the keys she gave us had a list of recommended restaurants which was very helpful. And there are free cookies!
